Lake Nakuru National Park Packages 2027: Entry Fees & Cost is a guide to the charges that matter most. It explains the published admission rates, the difference between park fees and safari costs, and the questions to ask before booking a 2027 trip.
Lake Nakuru National Park is a practical choice for travelers who want a short wildlife trip from Nairobi. Research listings include two-day journeys from Nairobi and three-day routes that combine Lake Nakuru with Lake Naivasha [3]. The park also supports about 450 bird species, which gives birdwatchers a clear reason to stay longer [4].
The final price depends on more than the gate fee. A package may include a vehicle, fuel, and a driver-guide, while park admission, camping, activities, or vehicle charges may appear separately [2]. Read every inclusion line. It is the easiest way to avoid a cheap quote that becomes expensive later.
Quick answer: A Lake Nakuru safari in 2027 starts with an adult entry fee of KSh 860 for East African citizens and residents, or USD 60 for non-residents. Children and students pay KSh 215 or USD 35. The full package cost then depends on transport, lodging, meals, guiding, and extra park charges.
What is Lake Nakuru National Park Packages 2027: Entry Fees & Cost?
Lake Nakuru National Park Packages 2027: Entry Fees & Cost combines two separate expenses. The first is admission to the park. The second is the price of transport, guiding, accommodation, meals, and activities arranged by a safari operator.
Overview of the park fee system
Lake Nakuru National Park charges visitors by residency category. The categories include citizens, East African citizens, foreign residents, and foreign non-residents [5]. Your passport or residency status therefore affects the amount you pay at the park.
East African citizens and residents pay KSh 860 for adult admission. Children and students in this category pay KSh 215 [1]. These are per-person charges, so a family should multiply the rate by the number of eligible travelers.
Non-resident adults pay USD 60. Non-resident children and students pay USD 35 [1]. A family of two adults and two children would therefore pay USD 190 in non-resident admission fees before transport, meals, accommodation, and guiding.
Key features to look for
Lake Nakuru packages often focus on game drives and bird viewing. The park supports about 450 bird species, so it suits travelers who want a short safari with a strong birding angle [4]. It also works well as part of a longer Kenya safari.
Known for: Lake Nakuru is known for birdlife, Rift Valley scenery, and short safari access. Best for: the park is best for first-time visitors, families, photographers, and travelers with limited time.
Lake Nakuru packages can also connect with nearby destinations. Travelers who want a slower day can compare a Lake Naivasha boat safari in 2027 with a game-drive itinerary. The two locations can fit into a three-day route listed for the 2026 and 2027 travel period [3].
Entry fees matter because they are not always part of the advertised package price. Some operators include park fees. Others quote transport and services first, then add admission separately [2]. That difference can make two similar-looking packages difficult to compare.
A Lake Nakuru safari cost in 2027 includes park admission plus the services in your itinerary. Published research identifies two-day trips from Nairobi and three-day Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha routes, but the total quote changes with lodging, vehicle type, group size, and included fees [3].
Separate the fixed fee from the package price
The clearest starting point is the entry fee. An East African adult pays KSh 860. A non-resident adult pays USD 60. An East African child or student pays KSh 215, while a non-resident child or student pays USD 35 [1].
Park admission is only one line in a safari budget. Packages commonly include a vehicle, driver-guide, and fuel, although each operator sets its own inclusions [2]. A quote may also cover accommodation and meals. Check whether it covers every game drive or only the transfer into the park.
Vehicle entry fees may sit outside the per-person admission rate. Camping fees and activity fees may also appear as separate charges [1]. These items matter most for private groups, campers, and travelers who add experiences beyond a standard game drive.

SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, so you can compare what each quote includes. Read authentic reviews before choosing the cheapest offer. A lower headline price is useful only when the same costs appear in every comparison.
For a wider trip, compare the Maasai Mara safari cost guide for 2027 with a Lake Nakuru route. You can then decide whether a short park visit or a longer circuit suits your budget.
Start a Lake Nakuru package by fixing your traveler category, trip length, and required services. Then ask for one written quote that lists admission, transport, guiding, accommodation, meals, and every extra charge in separate lines.
Getting started
Count the adults, children, and students in your group.
Confirm whether each traveler is an East African citizen, resident, or non-resident.
Choose a two-day Lake Nakuru trip or a three-day Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha route.
Ask whether park admission is included in the package total.
Check vehicle, driver-guide, fuel, accommodation, meals, camping, and activity lines.
Read recent traveler reviews before sending a deposit.
Residency status is the first practical check. The published fee categories include citizens, East African citizens, foreign residents, and foreign non-residents [5]. Give the operator accurate details before the quote is prepared. A wrong category can lead to a budget gap at booking or entry.
Should you book your Kenya safari online or enquire first?
Use online research to compare routes, prices, and reviews. Enquire before paying when you need a private vehicle, family room, camping, or a route that combines Lake Nakuru with another park.
Should I book safaris in advance or once I reach Kenya? For a 2027 trip, early enquiries make sense when your dates, lodging, or vehicle needs are fixed. They also give you time to check whether park admission appears inside the quote or as a separate line.
Families should ask about child pricing before they book. Children and students pay KSh 215 for East African admission and USD 35 for non-resident admission [1]. Confirm the age rule used by the operator, then compare the full family total.
Best practices for a clear quote
Request the price per person and the group total.
Ask for the residency category used in the calculation.
Check if the price includes all planned game drives.
Confirm whether the vehicle fee is separate.
Ask which meals and nights the quote covers.
Compare reviews with the written inclusions.
A short route can still provide strong value. Lake Nakuru supports about 450 bird species, and a two-day itinerary can suit travelers with limited time [4]. A longer route gives you more time for the park and a nearby lake experience, but it also adds nights, meals, and transport.
Use the SafariFind catalog to find your perfect safari, compare tour operators, and request a quote from verified operators. The best package is the one that matches your dates and shows the final cost clearly.
Check your residency category first because adult admission is KSh 860 for East African visitors and USD 60 for non-residents [1].
Budget KSh 215 or USD 35 for each eligible child or student, based on residency status [1].
Compare two-day and three-day itineraries because both Lake Nakuru and combined Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha routes are listed for 2027 [3].
Ask for vehicle, camping, and activity charges in writing because these costs may sit outside park admission [2].
Choose a package that lists its driver-guide, vehicle, fuel, lodging, and park fees before you pay [2].

"I was on my holiday break in Kenya and I went on a 4day tour together with my family to Amboseli park and Tsavo West park with Leisure Escapes Safaris. This was the second time booking with them as they had previously booked my Masai Mara safari and I really liked how they handled my booking. I did not hesitate to book with them again. Duncan, my contact in the company is very professional and was keen to our preferences. After informing him on our budget and what we were keen to see, he suggested this safari which I can say did not disappoint. Our driver guide was called James. He was very punctual while picking us and even for our game drives. Also he was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about all the places we visited and the animals we saw. We were booked at AA lodge in Amboseli and Ngulia lodge in Tsavo. We had a great safari, saw a lot of elephants on this trip. We also saw lions, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, gazelles and many other more animals. I will again use the company for my next holiday in Kenya!"

"Working from home and stuck at home with very few social activities, we decided to do a random trip to Nairobi National Park with a couple of friends and Leisure Escape Safaris came highly recommended budget-wise especially. This was the best decision we made.. the friendliest crew ever. Top it up with the knowledge of every corner of the park. My favourite was the rhino sanctuary where confiscated ivory (12tonnes of elephant tasks!!)was burned by the second President of Kenya back in 1989...you can actually see and touch the heap of ash. This is a must-visit. We were also able to view the big five Kudos to Leisure Escape Safaris team who knew where to be at what time. They were on time to pick us up in good time and they actually know the best time to visit the park. I highly recommend."

"My girlfriend and I were looking for a weekend getaway in Kenya. We came across Leisure Escapes Safaris rates on social media and decided to check with them. They suggested several options and we opted for a 2nights at Amboseli National Park as we both love to be in the wild. The trip turned to be among the best we have ever had. Great service from Leisure Escapes Safaris from the way they handled us, gave us a very professional driver guide, booked us at Kibo Safari Camp where we could view Mt. Kilimanjaro from our room! It was just spectacular. The game drives were breath-taking with Jumbos around. I would book again with this tour company and recommend it to anyone as they gave us very personalized service and met our requests very professionally."

"Every element of this excursion was just right. I was worried about scheduling, being unfamiliar with Kenya. Our coordinator Esther answered each question kindly and promptly. We had a specific concern regarding gluten free food and she was able to get us clear information before we booked. The actual excursion could not be better. Our driver Duncan was exactly on time, was polite and warm but not overly chatty. And he was an expert spotter on the game drives! We saw so so many animals, including cheetahs and an elusive leopard. Our accommodations at Ashnil Mara were just lovely. Our room was well appointed and the staff was attentive and professional. I fully recommend using Leisure Safari Escapes!"
