Madagascar combines rainforest wildlife, dry landscapes, and beach stays in one long trip. A 10-day plan can cost US$3,400 for a simpler island-and-beach package or US$14,195 for a luxury itinerary.
Madagascar Safari and Beach Holidays 2027: 10-Day Costs range from about US$3,400 for a Nosy Be and Île Sainte-Marie package to US$14,195 for a luxury itinerary. A safari-and-beach package with inland lodges, a beach resort, meals, and domestic flights starts near US$4,800 per person sharing. April to November is the best stated period for combining wildlife parks with beach time.
Madagascar Safari and Beach Holidays 2027: 10-Day Costs depend on the route, hotel level, and number of flights. The largest price gap comes between a simple island stay and a private luxury journey. That gap can reach more than US$10,000 per traveler.
Madagascar is a large island country. A good 10-day plan therefore needs careful routing. You may spend part of the trip in inland lodges and the rest at a beach resort. Another plan may focus on Nosy Be and Île Sainte-Marie, with half-board meals and flights between islands.
The figures in this guide are planning prices for 2027. They are not a final quote. Airfares, room supply, exchange rates, and the exact travel month can change the total. Use the numbers to set a budget before you compare operators.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators. You can compare packages, read authentic traveler reviews, and request a quote before choosing a route. That matters in Madagascar because transport time can shape the whole holiday.
A 10-day Madagascar safari and beach holiday costs about US$3,400 to US$14,195 per person in the current 2027 planning market. The lower figure covers a simpler Nosy Be and Île Sainte-Marie stay. The higher figure represents a listed luxury itinerary. A mixed safari and beach package starts around US$4,800 per person sharing [1][2].
The US$4,800 example includes interior lodges, a beach resort, most inland meals, and domestic flights between the parks and beach area. International flights cost extra [2]. This gives you a useful benchmark for a package that joins wildlife viewing with coast time.
A US$3,400 option starts with Nosy Be and Île Sainte-Marie stays. It includes half-board, inter-island flights, and transfers. This route suits travelers who want beach time and island travel without paying for a long private safari circuit.
A US$14,195 itinerary sits at the luxury end of the market. It is more than four times the US$3,400 starting point. That difference usually reflects the trip style, lodging level, private services, and route design described by the package.
| Travel style | Length | Guide price | What it shows |
|---|---|---|---|
| Budget | 7 days | US$900 to US$1,500 | Basic safari planning price, excluding international flights [1] |
| Budget or mid-range | 12 days | US$1,500 to US$2,500 | Longer planning estimate, excluding international flights [1] |
| Safari and beach | 10 days | From US$4,800 | Inland lodges, beach resort, most inland meals, and domestic flights [2] |
| Luxury | 10 days | US$14,195 | Listed luxury itinerary price [1] |
These figures are not equal products. A seven-day budget trip is not a direct substitute for a 10-day beach combo. Still, the table shows why you should compare inclusions, not only headline prices. A cheaper package may cover fewer flights, fewer meals, or fewer nights at the beach.
Compare 10-day Madagascar safari and beach packages to see current routes, prices, and operator details before you request a quote.
Madagascar travel often needs more planning than a single-park safari. A route can join inland parks, domestic flights, lodges, transfers, and an island resort. Each extra move adds a cost and uses time. A private itinerary also costs more than a shared or simpler package.
International flights are another major budget line. The US$4,800 example excludes them [2]. The same rule applies to the basic seven-day and 12-day estimates, which exclude international flights [1]. Keep your airfare separate when comparing package prices.
Compare the route, included flights, meals, lodging, and beach nights before comparing the price. A 10-day Madagascar holiday is good value when the package covers the costly links between inland parks and the coast. Ask for the full route and inclusions in writing.
Madagascar safari and beach holidays usually fall into two broad planning styles. The first combines inland wildlife areas with a beach resort. The second focuses on island stays, such as Nosy Be and Île Sainte-Marie, with inter-island flights and transfers.
Southern routes can include Ranomafana National Park, Anja Community Reserve, and Isalo. A 10-day southern example from Adventure Life starts at US$3,885 and includes Ranomafana, Isalo, and Anja [5]. Treat that figure as another comparison point, not as the same product as the US$4,800 beach combination.
Eastern routes can include Andasibe-Mantadia National Park. You can also compare nearby Andasibe I planning ideas. The Andasibe-Mantadia lodge rates guide can help you examine accommodation choices before asking for a full package.
Beach-led routes may use Nosy Komba, Nosy Sakatia, or Nosy Iranja. These links help you compare possible island stops. The final price still depends on the operator's route, hotel, and flights.
Start with the domestic flight line. The US$4,800 example includes domestic flights, while international flights remain extra [2]. A package with more included internal flights may cost more but save you from booking separate transfers.
Isalo National Park entrance is listed at 65,000 MGA. A park guide is listed at 80,000 to 100,000 MGA [4]. These local costs are small beside international airfare, yet they still matter when you build a detailed daily budget.
Park costs can also differ by destination. Ask whether the operator has included entrance fees and guiding in the quoted total. If not, add them as a separate trip line so your final budget remains honest.
Request a quote from verified Madagascar safari operators and ask each one to list flights, meals, park fees, guides, and beach nights separately.
April to November is the stated suitable period for combining Madagascar wildlife destinations with beach travel [2]. Booking for 2027 during this window gives you a clear starting point, but the right month still depends on your route and the package's availability.
April to November is the strongest planning window in the supplied research. It is the period identified for joining wildlife destinations and beach travel [2]. Use it when you want one trip that includes inland parks and a coast stay.
Do not choose a month only because it appears in a general season guide. Ask the operator how your exact parks, internal flights, and beach resort fit together. A 10-day trip has little spare time when a route includes several transfers.
Begin with the main reason for your trip. Wildlife-first travelers should reserve enough inland nights before adding the beach. Beach-first travelers can choose the island route and spend less time moving between inland lodges.
Antananarivo may work as the arrival or departure point for a longer route. You can review the Antananarivo tours and day trips guide if you want to add city time. Keep that choice separate from the 10-day safari and beach budget unless the operator includes it.
The research supplied for this cost guide does not confirm malaria risk by region or season. Check current travel-health advice from a qualified travel clinic or official health authority before booking, because your route may include several parts of the country.
Ask your doctor about vaccines, preventive medicine, and personal health needs well before departure. A tour operator can explain the route, but medical advice should come from a travel-health professional.
The research supplied here does not provide a verified answer about mosquitoes in Madagascar. Confirm current insect advice with a travel clinic or official health authority before your 2027 trip, then pack the products and clothing they recommend.
Keep health planning separate from package pricing. Ask the operator for the accommodation list and route, so your medical adviser can give advice that matches the places you will visit.
Pack for two types of days. Inland travel calls for simple clothes, walking shoes, sun protection, and a small day bag. Beach stays need swimwear, light clothes, and a way to protect phones or cameras from sand and water.
Keep essential medicine, documents, and valuables in your hand luggage. Your operator can confirm baggage rules for domestic flights. That question matters when your 10-day plan includes both parks and islands.
Start planning as soon as you know your travel month. The research gives current 2027 planning prices, but it does not guarantee room or flight availability. Request a written quote that shows the date, route, lodging, meals, transfers, and cancellation terms.
A Trailfinders listing gives a useful comparison point. It shows an 11-day, 10-night Madagascar holiday with a guide price of £1,954 per person [6]. Currency conversion and inclusions differ, so compare the full terms rather than converting the headline number alone.
A 10-day Madagascar safari and beach holiday costs about US$3,400 to US$14,195 per person in the current planning data. A mixed package with inland lodges, a beach resort, most inland meals, and domestic flights starts near US$4,800 per person sharing [1][2].

"From start to finish, this tour was an unforgettable experience. When enquiring about planning this trip ,Tony was very responsive, informative and. answered all our questions as we went along .When my suitcase didn't arrive in Madagascar Tony sorted it for me and negotiated with the airline on my behalf, going above and beyond and was very much appreciated Our guides were all knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual and clearly passionate about what they do, which made the whole trip both fun and informative. The itinerary was perfectly balanced — we saw all the major highlights without ever feeling rushed, and there were plenty of opportunities to take photos, ask questions, and just soak up the atmosphere. The transportation was comfortable, everything ran smoothly and on time, and as it was a private tour we were able to spend as little or as much time at each place as we chose. Every stop had something unique to offer, and the insider stories and local tips really brought the culture to life. It’s rare to find a tour that gets every detail right, but this one truly did, guides were on time , transfers were smooth, everything was flexible to our wishes. Hugh thanks to Tony, Sidney, Princee and Nico. The drivers were all awesome and we always felt safe despite some roads been very African massage- bumpy ! We left with amazing memories, beautiful photos, and a much deeper appreciation for the country. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat!"
"I highly recommend the Friendly Tour Guide Mada. The best cars I have seen on Madagascar, very clean, comfortable and modern. Drivers and tour guide are professionals! Very polite and helpful. Except 3 spots written in the description, expect visit to a very nice European restaurant with an amazing view! We are very happy, that we found this reliable tour operator. Thank you for everything ☺️"
"We have recently finished a 10 day tour of Madagascar in April 2025 using the operator “Madagascar Natural Tours” from start to finish it almost felt too good to be true, I have never met any one else from Australia who has been to Madagascar so we were very hesitant in whether it would be safe and had no idea how to organise a holiday there or what to expect. Harilala was extremely professional and communicative the entire way and answered every single (too many) questions of ours and made us feel comfortable and excited. He planned our itinerary just perfectly we listed a couple of things we had wanted to see - baobab avenue, lemurs and Nosy Be. He organised our whole itinerary, accomodation and flights for us so that it flowed seamlessly. He provided options in accomodation as we were seeking honeymoon style resorts. The hotels that he booked were beautiful, clean, great food and lovely staff! We had a few internal flights in our itinerary and it was so nice stepping off the plane and trusting that there would be a guide there waiting for us to get us to our hotel. The few times during our stay we had a question regarding our tour, Harilala would reply to our messages almost immediately and paid very careful attention to ensure we were happy and getting the most out of our tour. Using Madagascar Natural Tours took all stress out of the holiday / planning and allowed us to just show up and make memories of a lifetime! I would highly recommend this company to anybody curious to explore Madagascar! Particularly if you do not speak French, we struggled with the language barrier however all guides had amazing English which was such a relief. We can’t wait to come back in a few years time!!"
"We entrusted Harilala with our Madagascar tour, explaining what we wanted to see and visit. What can I say? He exceeded our expectations! Besides the wonderful tour, Solo and Fidele, our tour leaders, made the difference. We spent 20 days in Madagascar, and they flew by; everything was fantastic. We'll definitely be back to see the southernmost part of the country."
