A 7-day Botswana safari costs US$2,590 to US$7,295 per person in 2027. A classic route links the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve, and Chobe National Park, with three to four nights in the delta and three nights in Chobe. Compare verified packages on SafariFind before you choose your camp, transfers, and activities.
One 7-day Botswana safari can cover wetlands, woodland, and river habitat, with prices starting at US$2,590 per person in 2027. [1]
A 7-day Botswana safari costs US$2,590 to US$7,295 per person in 2027. The lower advertised price covers a shorter, simpler trip, while the upper range allows more costly camps, flights, park fees, and private activities. Your group size also affects the final amount. [1]
Botswana is a premium safari destination because a seven-day trip can join three very different wildlife areas. The classic route combines the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve, and Chobe National Park. The plan usually gives three to four nights to the delta, then three nights in Chobe. [1]
Known for: water-based wildlife viewing in the Okavango Delta, mixed habitat in Moremi, and river-focused safari time in Chobe. A seven-day trip does not give you every corner of the country. It gives you a focused route with strong habitat variety.
Best for: travellers who want a first Botswana safari without committing to two weeks. Seven days also suits people who want to add Botswana to a longer southern Africa holiday. A 10-day Botswana, Namibia, and additional-country trip is listed from US$6,490, with the lowest listed departure on 29 July 2027. [4]
The headline price needs careful reading. Ask whether the package includes internal flights, airport transfers, meals, drinks, activities, concession fees, and park fees. Two trips can show very different prices while using the same route because their camps and inclusions are different.

A 7-day Botswana safari costs US$2,590 to US$7,295 per person in 2027. A family option is listed from US$2,680 for 10 days, while a luxury 8-day and 7-night package starts at US$14,000 per person sharing. These examples show how camp style, trip length, and inclusions change the total. [4][5]
| Trip example | Length | Price per person | What it shows |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classic Botswana route | 7 days | From US$2,590 | Okavango Delta, Moremi, and Chobe |
| Advertised 2027 range | 7 days | US$2,590 to US$7,295 | Different camps, flights, fees, activities, and group sizes |
| Botswana family safari | 10 days | From US$2,680 | Longer family-focused itinerary |
| Botswana and Namibia trip | 10 days | From US$6,490 | Multi-country overland route |
| Ultra-luxury island camp package | 8 days, 7 nights | From US$14,000 | Luxury camps, transfers, meals, drinks, and activities |
The US$2,590 starting price is useful for planning, but it is not a promise that every date will cost the same. Confirm the exact camp, room setup, transport plan, and fees before booking. The advertised range reaches US$7,295 because these details can change the trip cost sharply. [1]
Ultra-luxury pricing gives a clear example of what a higher rate can include. One eight-day package includes meals, drinks, activities, concession fees, internal light-aircraft transfers, and airport transfers. It starts at US$14,000 per person sharing. [5]
Price range: US$2,590 to US$7,295 for the main seven-day 2027 range. Higher-end travel sits above that range. One 10-day Ultimate Botswana Safari is listed at US$18,595 per person for May 2027 departures. [7]
Request a quote for a Botswana safari within your budget and compare what each operator includes. Read reviews before you select a cheaper package, since the lowest rate may use different camps or transfer plans.
A 7-day Botswana safari usually includes accommodation, guided game drives, and a route through the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve, and Chobe National Park. The classic plan gives three to four nights to the delta and three nights to Chobe, with water and land activities across the route. [1]
The classic itinerary uses three to four nights in the Okavango Delta, followed by three nights in Chobe. That split gives you enough time to settle into each area rather than changing camps every night. Confirm whether the listed rate covers single occupancy, shared rooms, or a per-person sharing price.
The Okavango Delta is the water-based part of the route. Chobe adds a river setting and a different camp area. Moremi links the wider route with woodland and wetland habitat. Together, the three areas create a compact seven-day plan with clear changes in scenery.
Known for: game drives, mokoro excursions, boat safaris, and river cruises. A mokoro is a traditional dugout canoe used on shallow delta channels. Boat activities depend on water access and the plan sold by your operator, so ask for a day-by-day list.
Getting there: transport depends on the package. A luxury example includes airport transfers and internal light-aircraft transfers. [5] Other packages may use a mix of road travel, lodge transfers, and small aircraft. Your quote should name each transfer and show whether baggage limits apply.
Meals and drinks need a separate check. Some luxury packages include all meals and drinks, while a lower-priced trip may list meals but treat drinks as an extra. Park fees, concession fees, and activity charges also need a clear line in the itinerary.
Do not judge a package by the room price alone. Compare the full list of inclusions, then check the cancellation terms and transfer schedule. The best value is the package that matches your needs without surprise charges.

Botswana is good for safari in 2027 because a seven-day route combines wetlands, woodland, and river habitat. The Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve, and Chobe National Park give travellers different ways to view wildlife without needing a long countrywide circuit. [1]
Okavango Delta stays focus on water and open wetland channels. Mokoro trips and boat safaris can add a slower view of the area, while game drives cover land-based wildlife viewing. Ask your operator which activities are included rather than assuming every delta camp offers the same plan.
Moremi Game Reserve adds a mix of wetland and woodland areas. Its position in the classic route helps break up the trip between the delta and Chobe. A seven-day plan gives you a useful first look, but longer trips leave more time for rest and repeat drives.
Chobe National Park gives the route its river focus. The classic plan includes three nights in Chobe after three to four nights in the Okavango Delta. [1] River cruises and game drives can make those nights feel different from the delta portion.
Best for: travellers who value wildlife time over city stops, couples who want a small-camp stay, and families who need a planned route. A family safari is listed from US$2,680 for 10 days, which shows that a longer trip does not always cost more than a high-end seven-day stay. [4]
The right itinerary depends on your pace. A seven-day trip works well when you want a clean route with limited travel days. A 10-day or 14-day circuit gives more room for Namibia, extra delta nights, or a slower camp change.
For a closer look at camp choices, compare this guide to the best lodges in Moremi Game Reserve for 2027. You can then match the lodge style to your budget.
Plan a 7-day Botswana safari by fixing your budget, route, camp level, and included transfers before you compare dates. Start with the US$2,590 entry point, then ask what changes when you add flights, private activities, premium camps, or a smaller group. [1]
A useful brief might say, "Seven days, Okavango Delta and Chobe, mid-range camps, game drives, mokoro activity, boat safari, and airport transfers." This gives operators the same target. Their quotes become easier to compare.
As of November 2026, published examples include a 29 July 2027 departure from US$6,490 for a 10-day Botswana, Namibia, and additional-country trip. A separate Ultimate Botswana Safari lists May 2027 departures at US$18,595 per person. [4][7]
These dates do not create a single best month for every traveller. They show that 2027 inventory is already listed. Ask for the cost on your exact dates, then confirm the booking deadline and payment schedule.
Make a simple comparison table for each quote. Add nights, camp names, meals, drinks, park fees, concession fees, aircraft transfers, road transfers, and activities. Then add international flights and insurance separately so you can see the real holiday budget.
The luxury example is useful here. Its US$14,000 price includes meals, drinks, activities, concession fees, light-aircraft transfers, and airport transfers. [5] A cheaper quote may not include all those items, so the two prices are not equal comparisons.
SafariFind helps you compare tour operators and read authentic traveller reviews. Use the 2027 Botswana package and fee guide when you want to add a different area to your route.
Ask who operates the trip, who meets you at each airstrip, and how the operator handles delays. Confirm luggage rules for light aircraft. Ask whether the listed price is per person sharing or for a private vehicle.
Read current reviews before you pay. A polished itinerary can still leave out small details that matter, such as vehicle sharing, meal limits, or transfer times. Clear answers now make the trip much easier later.
A 7-day Botswana safari costs US$2,590 to US$7,295 per person in 2027. The final price depends on accommodation, flights, park fees, activities, and group size. Luxury packages cost more, with one 8-day and 7-night example starting at US$14,000 per person sharing. [1][5]

A listed 10-day Botswana family safari starts at US$2,680 per person. That figure is longer than seven days, so compare the family itinerary, room setup, meals, activities, and transport before judging value. [4]

"In short, my partner and I had the most amazing time in Botswana, all thanks to Moonstroll for coordinating and taking us on the coolest safari adventure! In more detail.. The overall experience with Moonstroll Vantage Expeditions was great. I initially had no idea how quickly safaris booked up in Botswana (especially if your dates are only marginally flexible), so I had a difficult time finding a multi-day safari adventure within our budget. When I came across Moonstroll, I reached out with my dates and received a very quick response, with a super-detailed quote which highlighted the inclusions of the safari. Monametsi (owner of Moonstroll) was very professional throughout the entire planning process. He was responsive and very helpful by email leading up to the tour. When we landed in Botswana, him and his colleague Lucky personally met us at the Maun airport and took us to our accommodation. Similar to what a few others have noted, I was initially skeptical of the process of wire-transferring money for payment of the safari (as there were limited reviews on this company) - but after having spent the 5 days on safari with Moonstroll, I can comfortably say that they are an awesome company; a local one too, with a very small team. Do note that your safari will be subcontracted out to other local experts, selected by Monametsi, who take you on your safari. For our private 5 day (4 night) camping trip, we had a team of three gentlemen who made the trip a superb one. Our safari guide and driver, Thuso, was amazing at spotting wildlife and an excellent driver. He could maneuver the safari vehicle safely through rough terrain, follow lion tracks, and lookout for animals all the same time!! He was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of all the parks we visited; his expertise led us to seeing some rare animals, including a group of lion cubs, a leopard with its kill in a tree, and two lionesses hunting. The next team member included Russell, our chef, who cooked up the most delicious meals for the group each day. I think back and remember one of our lunches where he baked an entire quiche - over a fire (so impressive)!!! Apart from being very tasty, we also note that the preparation of the food was also very sanitary especially considering we were camping for five days. Finally, our trip would also not have been as lovely without Gaety, who was the camp assistant. He helped with setting up our campsites and was there to support the other two guys throughout the trip. For anyone wondering about what to expect when camping, here are a few quick notes: - all campsites are in the wilderness areas of the game parks; they are therefore not part of large public campsites so you actually feel like you are in the wilderness and there aren't others around you. It is very peaceful and you never know who your animal neighbours will be! On two separate nights, we saw hyenas wander onto our site (we saw them through the mesh of our tent when the moonlight was bright) - it was so cool (but also a bit terrifying) - the team will collect water from the entrance to the game park prior to setting up camp each day for cooking, showers, etc - a shower will be set up by the team (one of the pressure/valve showers used for camping - that hang above you from a tree) with a metal frame + tarp for privacy - a hole is dugout for a toilet - a portable chair that has a toilet seat goes over the hole - similar to the shower, a tarp is raised for privacy - cots and mattress pads are provided in your tent so you do not have to sleep directly on the ground The entire experience was fantastic! I would be happy to answer any other questions if anyone is wondering more about joining this safari, as I know I had tons when I was researching. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend Moonstroll Vantage Expeditions. They were the perfect team for us to share our first safari experience with and it was nice being able to support a small local organization."
"We just came from our 7-day Chobe and Okavango Delta Explorer safari with Moonstroll. It was a spectacular experience. Our guide Dylos used all his experience and did a fantastic job, going above and beyond to show us some of the most beautiful animals and spots that Botswana has to offer. We loved the stay in the bus camps and to be able to hear (and sometimes see) the hienas, hippos, elephants and even lions and leopards at early morning and at dinner time. Rhotata, our chef, cooked some delicious food and her constant good mood and happiness was contagious. Mark and Chief also did a great job and made sure that e everything in the camp was run up and working. Thank you!"
"My partner and our other couple friends were so lucky to have the best team taking care of us. Dylos our guide and driver went out of his way to ensure we had the best bush experience - finding the best animals, finding the best spots to eat, answering all of my numerous questions and taking every opportunity to point out and give new information on the animals we spotted. We were lucky enough to see not one, but TWO leopards. As for the rest of the team, Enok was the most fabulous cook. I couldn't believe what that man could do with a few pots and a fire. The most insane home baked fresh bread, delicious curry, meatballs - you name it. It was beyond my wildest dreams of what I would expect camping. Huge up to Kennedy for setting up our lodging to a T. You ensured we were comfortable at all times and that we had a hot camp shower when we returned from long game drives out. Thanks for all your hard work. Overall I give the team at moonstroll 5 stars - thanks for an unforgettable first safari experience. Botswana and its people are so beautiful. We will be back. <3"
"Monametsi is a great safari operator. He was very helpful in the planning phase. The safari itself was fantastic. We saw a lot of animals, birds and landscapes. We took beautiful photos and videos. The organization of the accommodation was excellent, they chose great places for camping, especially in Khwai. We really enjoyed the meals prepared by Midoh, including the traditional Botswana meals. Our guide Sox is very well prepared, knows the area and is a good companion. Our safari in the Okavango Delta will remain in our memories for a very long time. I can recommend the company wholeheartedly."
