About this safari
Conquer Africa's Highest Peak in Ultimate Comfort
Stand atop Mount Kilimanjaro at 5,895 meters, surrounded by glaciers and endless African skies. This 7-day ultra-luxury Kilimanjaro hike via the Lemosho Route combines mountaineering achievement with uncompromising comfort, offering climbers the perfect balance between authentic high-altitude adventure and world-class expedition support.
The Ultimate Kilimanjaro Experience
The Lemosho Route is widely regarded as one of Africa's most scenic and least crowded paths to Kilimanjaro's summit. Beginning at Lemosho Gate, this seven-day journey traverses pristine wilderness, lush montane forests, and alpine meadows before ascending through the dramatic volcanic landscape to Uhuru Peak.
Your expedition follows a carefully designed acclimatization schedule that maximizes your chances of summit success. From Shira Camp One, you'll traverse the high plateaus, navigate the iconic Barranco Wall—one of Kilimanjaro's most thrilling sections—and experience the mountain's ever-changing ecosystems. Ultra-luxury accommodations, gourmet meals prepared by professional chefs, and a dedicated team of expert guides and porters ensure that your focus remains on the climb, not logistics.
Why Choose the Lemosho Route
Unlike crowded alternatives, the Lemosho Route offers solitude, scenery, and superior acclimatization. The longer approach through diverse ecological zones—from rainforest to alpine desert—gives your body optimal time to adjust to altitude. You'll camp at premier locations including Moir Hut, Karanga Camp, and Mweka Camp, with support that anticipates your every need at altitude.
This is mountaineering for those who refuse to compromise on experience quality.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the Lemosho Route different from other Kilimanjaro routes?
The Lemosho Route is the longest standard route to Kilimanjaro's summit, offering exceptional acclimatization, stunning scenery, and significantly fewer crowds. The extended timeline and gradual elevation gain result in higher summit success rates compared to shorter, more direct routes.
Is this trek suitable for first-time climbers?
Yes. While Kilimanjaro is a serious undertaking, the 7-day Lemosho itinerary is specifically designed for climbers of moderate fitness levels. The extended acclimatization schedule, expert guides, and ultra-luxury support system make it accessible to determined first-time mountaineers in good health.
What happens after we reach the summit?
Following your summit success at Uhuru Peak, you'll descend to Mweka Camp for your final night before exiting via the Mweka Gate and returning to Moshi City. You'll have time to rest, celebrate, and prepare for your onward journey.
What level of fitness is required?
Climbers should be in good cardiovascular health and capable of hiking 5-7 hours daily at altitude. Regular training—including hill walking, stair climbing, and cardiovascular exercise—is strongly recommended in the months leading up to your expedition.
