This 6-day Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar Beach Escape combines the wildlife of Tanzania’s northern safari circuit with the beaches, heritage and Indian Ocean experiences of Zanzibar. The journey departs from Arusha and includes Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, Stone Town and Nungwi Beach, creating a varied route from safari landscapes to the coast. The Tanzania safari portion focuses on game drives in Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. These protected areas provide opportunities for wildlife encounters across two of the country’s best-known safari destinations. In the Serengeti, guests can experience the open setting of the national park while looking for wildlife during guided game drives. The Ngorongoro Crater adds a distinct destination to the route, with further game drives in its remarkable natural setting. After the safari, the escape continues in Zanzibar. Guests can explore Stone Town and discover its heritage, visit a spice farm and take part in a Prison Island experience. Depart your Arusha hotel at 6:30 AM and drive through the Arusha highlands and Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Serengeti National Park. Enter through Naabi Hill Gate and begin a game drive across the short grass plains, searching for cheetah, lion prides, elephant herds, giraffe, zebra and wildebeest.
