Comprising around 1,500 chimpanzees, Kibale Frest National Park is a wet woodland. You will see them up close and get pictures of these almost-human relatives living in the bush during an early morning chimp-trekking trip.
As they are grooming, you will see their wild and passionate attitude. Apart from the chimpanzees, this trip will allow one to see nine other kinds of monkeys: red-tailed monkeys, red-colobus monkeys, bush infants. Among the other woodland dwellers are many bird species, like the local large blue turaco, joyous greenbul, and the magnificent black beefeater.
Start the drive straight to Queen Elizabeth National Park after the walk, enjoying the breathtaking views of the renowned Rwenzori Mountains. To see the startling variety of savannah flora and animals, travel southwards over the Rwenzori range or across the crater lakes in the highlands.
