After having breakfast and a briefing, the next step is to drive to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate which takes around 45 minutes. Once there, you will need to register before starting the climb. The first part of the climb will take you through a beautiful rainforest, and you will arrive at the Mandara encampment. If you have time, it's worth taking a side trip to Maundi Crater, where you can enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding area, including Northern Tanzania and Kenya. Along the way, you can expect to see towering Eucalyptus trees, various bird species, and Colobus monkeys in their natural habitat.
