Arusha National Park is a small but exceptionally scenic park located just a short drive from Arusha town, making it one of the most accessible safari destinations in Tanzania. Despite its size, it offers a remarkable diversity of landscapes, ranging from the lush montane forests of Mount Meru to open savannah, rolling hills, and the tranquil Momella Lakes.

The park is dominated by Mount Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest peak, which provides a dramatic backdrop and opportunities for trekking and hiking. The forests are home to black-and-white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and a variety of bird species, while the open areas host giraffes, zebras, buffalo, warthogs. Although Arusha National Park does not have lions, it offers a peaceful and less crowded safari experience.
