An exclusive, expert-led tracking expedition based out of the luxurious Severin Safari Camp. Designed for wildlife photographers and enthusiasts who want to master the volcanic landscapes of Tsavo West and capture eye-level encounters with Africa's premier apex predators. The endangered African wild dogs of Tsavo West offer one of the most exclusive and thrilling wildlife sightings in Kenya. Unlike the packs in roaming the open savannahs of the Maasai Mara, Tsavo West's wild dogs have uniquely adapted to a rugged, semi-arid landscape shaped by ancient volcanic lava flows and dense acacia woodlands.

Our expedition begins with a morning pick-up from Nairobi or Mombasa in our specialized photographic 4x4 Land Cruiser. Drive through Mtito Andei gate into Tsavo West National Park, arriving at the stunning, unfenced Severin Safari Camp. Check into your luxury tent and enjoy lunch overlooking the camp’s active waterhole, a frequent drinking spot for resident wildlife.
At 3:30 PM, head out for your first dedicated predator patrol along the Rhino Valley circuit. We focus our tracking on the local pride of lions as they begin to stir for their evening hunt. Utilizing our vehicle's integrated swivel beanbag mounts, we position exclusively for dramatic, front-lit portraits against the backdrop of the Ngulia Hills during the golden hour.
