Discover Tanzania’s celebrated northern safari circuit on this 5-day journey through Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. Starting with pick-up in Arusha, the safari combines distinctive landscapes, classic game drives, cultural experiences and comfortable luxury tented camps with ensuite bathrooms. Begin in Tarangire National Park, known as the Land of Giants, where a game drive introduces you to the wildlife and scenery of northern Tanzania. Continue to Serengeti National Park, the Endless Plains, for expansive landscapes and memorable safari viewing. The Serengeti is a remarkable setting to look for the Big Five and witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, one of the region’s best-known wildlife experiences. The route then includes Ngorongoro Crater, often called the Eighth Wonder of the World. Explore its distinctive crater landscape on safari before continuing to Mto wa Mbu, a cultural crossroads included in the journey. The package also features a visit to a Maasai village and a cultural experience, adding a human dimension to the national parks and wildlife viewing. Travel is in a private 4x4 safari vehicle with a professional English-speaking guide, allowing the itinerary to focus on the parks, landscapes and activities included in the package. Accommodation is provided as per the itinerary in luxury tented camps with ensuite bathrooms. Three meals are included daily: breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with bottled water during game drives. All park entrance fees, government taxes and VAT are included. Pick up at Arusha & Tarangire National Park "The Land of Giants"

Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha in a [for the best pictures ;)]. After a short briefing, we will head southwest toward Tarangire National Park, a scenic 2-hour drive through bustling Maasai villages and vast open plains.

Tarangire is famous for two things: its massive herds of elephants and its ancient, towering Baobab trees. Often called the "Tree of Life," these prehistoric giants create a landscape that feels like a scene from another era.

What to expect on your game drive:

Elephant Paradise: Tarangire is home to one of the largest concentrations of elephants in Africa. It’s common to see families of up to 300 individuals roaming together.
The Life-Giving River: We will drive along the Tarangire River, the park's primary water source. During the dry season, it becomes a magnet for wildlife, including large herds of zebras, wildebeests, and buffaloes.
Predator Sightings: Keep your eyes peeled for lions lounging in the shade, leopards hiding in the acacia branches, and even the occasional cheetah on the hunt.
Unique Wildlife: Look out for species rarely seen in other parks, such as the Fringe-eared Oryx and the long-necked Gerenuk antelope.
Birdwatcher’s Dream: With over 550 species, including the colorful Lilac-breasted Roller and the giant Ostrich, the park is a vibrant haven for birds.

After a picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the river, we will continue our game drive until the late afternoon. As the sun begins to set, we will head to your accommodation at Karatu, you will be able to have a local dinner and be ready for the next day.
