About this safari
On this tour, you will travel from Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve) via Dar es Salaam using a boat, then be taken by car with our professional driver to Nyerere NP and back to Zanzibar by flight. Nyerere National Park is now the largest national park in Africa. Established in 2019, it covers over 30,000 square kilometers with relatively undisturbed ecological and biological processes, including a diverse range of wildlife as well as the Rufiji River.

Our professional driver will pick you up at Dar es Salaam, from where you will travel by boat to Zanzibar. Proceed to Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve) via the Kilwa road, a trip of about 5 hours, while the Kisarawe road will be 3 hours. Upon arrival, you will be taken by our professional guide to the accommodation for relaxation.
On the same day, from 16:00 up to sunset, you will do a boat safari tour on the Rufiji River, the biggest and longest river in Tanzania. It is approximately 600 kilometers (370 miles) long, with its source in southwestern Tanzania and its mouth on the opposite side of the Indian Ocean. The river has many attractions, including crocodiles, hippos, river cliffs, birds, and more.
