Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha, followed by a scenic 2–3 hour drive through the Maasai plains and rural landscapes towards Tarangire National Park. This park is well known for hosting some of the largest elephant herds in Tanzania, along with its ancient baobab trees and seasonal Tarangire River, which attracts a wide variety of wildlife.
Upon arrival, you will proceed with an extensive game drive, giving you the chance to spot elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a rich diversity of birdlife. Your professional safari guide will provide detailed insights about the animals and ecosystem throughout the day.
A picnic lunch will be served inside the park at a designated site with beautiful views of the wilderness. After lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive before exiting the park in the late afternoon.
You will then drive to the nearby highlands of Karatu for dinner and overnight at your selected lodge or tented camp, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings after an exciting day.
