About this safari
This 12-Day Kilimanjaro Machame Route Trek is one of the most popular and successful ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa at 5,895 meters. Known as the "Whiskey Route," the Machame Route offers stunning scenery, diverse landscapes, and excellent acclimatization opportunities.
The itinerary includes arrival and departure days, allowing trekkers time to rest before and after the climb. During the trek, you will pass through lush rainforest, heath and moorland, alpine desert, and arctic summit zones before reaching Uhuru Peak, the Roof of Africa.
The Machame Route follows the "climb high, sleep low" principle, which significantly improves acclimatization and increases summit success rates.
