Day 1
Tarangire National Park • Farm of Dreams Lodge
This is the moment you've been waiting for: your
Tanzanian safari starts here. You have so much to look
forward to and we'll get your trip underway as soon as
we give you an introduction to our team and explain
what lies ahead.
Wherever you go in Tarangire National Park, you’ll
come across the park’s famous and larger than life
baobab trees and elephants. These are the twin elements
that give this park so much personality. There is, of
course, so much more. We don’t just mean the huge
populations of wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes,
baboons, vervet monkeys and zebras. Or the rugged
landscape of rocky hills and rivers, swamps and savannah
plains. You also have an excellent chance of seeing lions
here Tarangire is a real lion stronghold and keep an
eye out for leopards and cheetahs as well.
You'll enjoy the quiet, palm-fringed surrounds of Farm
of Dreams Lodge, close to Karatu and just off the road
between Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro. Large rooms
with mosquito nets, earth colors and safari prints make
for a good night's sleep, while the swimming pool and
restaurant might make you feel like you never want to
leave.
