About this safari
This single-day activity takes you to the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, a village called Materuni, where this magnificent waterfall is found. The indigenous Chagga community that dominates the area mainly involves itself in coffee plantations. The tour also takes you to an ambient, spectacular hot spring. Activities include hiking, bird watching, a coffee tour, and swimming at the Kikuletwa Hot Springs.

You will be picked up by your driver guide from your hotel and driven to Materuni village in Moshi for about 2 hours; the road up is a bit bumpy. Here you'll hike in 45 minutes wins to waterfalls, you'll swim, and enjoy the view, then hike back and have lunch with local Chagga people. After lunch, you will witness how coffee is processed by roasting and grinding. On your way to Arusha, you'll drive to Kikuletwa Hot Spring and spend a minimum of 3 hours there, then return to Arusha.
