South Africa uses rewilding and carefully managed translocations to reconnect isolated wildlife populations, restore ecological processes and strengthen protected areas. The national cheetah metapopulation programme had reintroduced cheetahs to 70 fenced reserves by December 2025, with approximately 298 breeding individuals recorded across the managed system [6].

Singaporean citizens travelling on Singapore passports can enter South Africa without a visa for a maximum of 90 days. Immigration officials decide the actual authorised stay, so check the entry stamp and prepare passport, minor-travel and customs documents before departure.

A seven-day Zimbabwe safari can cost as little as $2,200 or exceed $10,000 per person, depending on comfort, season, and route.
Zimbabwe Safari Cost 2026: What 7 Days Really Costs ranges from about US$2,500 to US$10,500 per person. Most mid-range trips cost US$2,500–$5,000 and include lodging, meals, park fees, and game drives. April and November offer strong value, while green-season travel can save 30%–40% compared with peak periods. SafariFind helps you compare verified operators and authentic reviews.
Zimbabwe Safari Cost 2026: What 7 Days Really Costs depends on the park, lodge level, travel season, and trip style. A typical seven-day safari costs US$2,500–$5,000 per person. Budget lodge trips can start near US$2,200, while luxury journeys often begin around US$3,300 [6].
Zimbabwe is known for guided walking safaris, large wildlife areas, Victoria Falls, and remote river journeys. Mana Pools, Hwange, Lake Kariba, and the Zambezi River create very different safari experiences. Therefore, two trips with the same seven-day length can have very different prices.
The figures in this guide reflect available 2026 pricing and research. They show what the main safari costs usually cover. They also explain which extras can raise your final budget.
Quick answer: A seven-day Zimbabwe safari costs US$2,500–$10,500 per person in 2026. Most travelers should budget US$2,500–$5,000 for a mid-range trip. April, November, and green-season dates offer better value, while luxury river and remote park routes cost much more.
Seven-day Zimbabwe safari prices fall into three main bands: about US$2,200–$3,300 for entry and mid-range trips, US$3,300–$5,000 for stronger mid-range or premium travel, and up to US$10,500 for luxury journeys. These figures cover different levels of lodging, guiding, transport, and access.
Budget Zimbabwe safaris focus on practical lodges, shared transfers, and clear routes. A seven-day Victoria Falls, Hwange, and Chobe budget lodge safari is listed at US$3,980 per person [4]. This price shows that “budget” does not always mean very cheap when a trip includes several places.
Mid-range private Zimbabwe safaris start at about US$2,200 per person, according to current tour guidance [6]. These trips often suit travelers who want private guiding, comfortable rooms, and a simple route. The final quote still depends on dates, group size, and the parks included.
Luxury Zimbabwe safaris start at around US$3,300 per person [6]. High-end camps, private vehicles, remote locations, and river activities can move the price higher. The full 2026 range reaches about US$10,500 per person when the itinerary uses premium camps and exclusive experiences [1].
Typical seven-day safari rates include lodging, meals, game drives, and park fees [1]. Some packages also include road transfers, airport transfers, a professional guide, and selected activities. However, each operator sets its own inclusions, so you should read the quote line by line.
Flights, visas, travel insurance, drinks, tips, and personal purchases may sit outside the listed rate. Ask for a written quote that separates included costs from optional costs. This step prevents a low headline price from becoming a costly final bill.
Ready to check real dates and budgets? Compare seven-day Zimbabwe safari packages and request quotes from verified operators.
The price range matters because Zimbabwe offers both classic road safaris and remote wilderness travel. A standard Hwange route may cost far less than a private Mana Pools and Zambezi River journey. The right comparison starts with the route, not only the nightly lodge rate.
Season, accommodation, park choice, transport, and group size create the largest price differences. A seven-day safari with shared transfers and lodge rooms costs less than a private trip with premium camps, charter flights, and exclusive guiding.
Green-season travel can save 30%–40% compared with higher-priced periods [1]. Green months often bring changing weather and fresh vegetation. They can also suit photographers who want dramatic skies and young wildlife, although some travelers prefer the drier months.
April and November are shoulder-season months with good value, wildlife viewing, and fewer crowds [1]. These months can help you control costs without choosing the lowest travel season. Always ask the operator which parks remain best for your target species during your dates.
Peak-season bookings made three to six months ahead may receive discounts of 10%–15% [1]. Early planning also gives you more choice of camps. This matters when you want a specific lodge, private vehicle, or popular Victoria Falls connection.
Budget lodge safaris use simple rooms and shared services. Mid-range safaris add more comfort, better locations, and often private guiding. Luxury safaris may use small camps, premium meals, private vehicles, and remote access.

|---|---|---|---|---|

| Victoria Falls, Hwange and Chobe safari | US$3,980 | 7 days | Not provided | First-time visitors wanting several highlights |
| Mid-range private safari | US$2,200–$5,000 | 7 days | Not provided | Couples and small private groups |
| North Zimbabwe adventure | From US$8,526 | 7 days | Not provided | Remote river and wilderness travel |
| Luxury Zimbabwe safari | From about US$3,300; up to US$10,500 | 7 days | Not provided | Premium camps and private experiences |
North Zimbabwe itineraries cost more when they combine Lake Kariba, the Zambezi River, Mana Pools National Park, and remote activities. One current seven-day North Zimbabwe itinerary starts at US$8,526 per person [2]. Its price reflects the route and wilderness setting.
Victoria Falls and Hwange can offer a simpler road-based plan. A route that begins or ends at Victoria Falls may reduce complex transfers. Yet adding Chobe, river cruises, or extra border movements can increase both time and transport costs.
Private vehicles cost more because your group carries the daily vehicle and guide expense. Shared departures spread those costs among more travelers. Couples should compare both options, since a private vehicle may offer better flexibility but not always the lowest total price.
Use SafariFind to compare tour operators, package prices, and authentic traveler reviews before choosing a seven-day route.
A successful seven-day Zimbabwe safari starts with one clear goal, a realistic budget, and a route that avoids rushed transfers. Choose the wildlife area first, then select the lodge level and travel dates. This order helps you spend money on experiences that matter most.
Start with the safari package price. A practical mid-range budget is US$2,500–$5,000 per person for seven days [1]. Travelers seeking a low-cost route should compare offers near US$2,200. Travelers seeking remote luxury should plan for US$8,526 or more.
Then add costs that may sit outside the package. These can include international flights, travel insurance, visas, drinks, tips, and personal items. The available research does not set one fixed amount for these extras, so request a full cost sheet from each operator.
Hwange works well for travelers who want a classic wildlife-focused route. Victoria Falls adds a major natural landmark and simple arrival options. Mana Pools and the Zambezi River suit travelers who want river scenery, walking, and a more remote setting.
Wildlife goals should guide the park choice. Read the detailed guide to Zimbabwe safari animals by park and season before requesting quotes. The guide can help you match your dates with the species and activities you want.
Choose April or November when value and lower crowd levels matter. Choose green-season dates when a possible 30%–40% saving matters most [1]. Choose peak dates when dry conditions and high demand suit your priorities.
The Zimbabwe safari month-by-month travel guide offers more detail on weather, wildlife, and seasonal planning. Compare the same route across two months. This method shows whether the lower rate justifies a change in travel dates.
Health planning belongs in your safari budget. Check current advice before departure, and ask your doctor about your own travel needs. Travelers from Spain can review the Zimbabwe vaccinations and health rules for Spanish travelers.
Entry rules also vary by passport. Spanish citizens should check the latest Zimbabwe visa requirements for 2026 before booking non-refundable travel. Build time for documents, insurance, and airport transfers.
Ask every operator the same questions. This creates a fair price comparison and exposes missing services.
Look for clear terms, recent reviews, and a detailed day-by-day plan. Verified operators should explain the quote without pressure. SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, making it easier to compare details before you pay.

"Cultural Vibes Travel and Tours has proved to be excellent yet again as this is now the third time, we have used them and a much-needed break after almost 3 years with the Covid pandemic. Tongesai is extremely reliable, professional, knowledgeable and does everything to make your trip a memorable experience. Compared to local larger companies, Tongesai’s individual package rates are more reasonable and come with a customized touch. We felt that our holiday with Tongesai was much better and suited us more so than if we had booked through a larger company. His individual tailoring, personal involvement and attention to detail pays off in the smooth running of your trip. Our visits to the Victoria Falls, both sides from Zimbabwe and Zambia were magnificent and never cease to amaze us. On this trip Tongesai arranged for a private sunset cruise on the Zambezi just for our family of four instead of on the larger vessels, which was a very pleasant alternative. The boat trip in Chobe is magical and a must if you venture into Botswana. Wildlife was in abundance, including lion, elephant, wildebeest, buffalo, puku, kudu, bushbuck, waterbuck, impala, gemsbok, steenbok, sable and roan antelope, etc. We even saw a relative of Cecil, the famous black-maned lion, ‘once a true king of Hwange National Park’. I have no hesitation in recommending the company for arranging tours in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana - we will definitely be seeing him again. He is currently setting up arrangements with colleagues in Kruger National Park to venture into South Africa and I wish him every success with that."

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"My travel companions and I chose the 4 day experience. Technically it is really a 3 day experience, because the last day they provide airport transportation. I feel they go above and beyond in making sure they are providing their customers with a safe, exciting and exceptional experience. Gari was our driver/guide in Zimbabwe, and was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Gari either made sure we were where we needed to be or provided his own guide trip to the Victoria Falls. He even provided the rain gear, which is most necessary. Gari and his "boss" Mr T. went above and beyond when Delta postponed our flight by a day, by helping to make sure that the connecting airline would change our reservation. They then made sure we got to the airport on time, a day later. They are always willing to provide any additional things that you would like to see and do. If you looking for a guided tour company, this is the one to use, and one that I would have no hesitation in using again."

"First, Tongesai Mtematsaka was excellent with communications and service. We couldn’t have asked for better. My questions via email were promptly answered. His English was excellent, and better. He was always on time in meeting us, coming and going. Our two hour trips from VIc Falls to the sable sands lodge, and then from the lodge to the Vic Falls airport were a highlight to our entire Africa trip. My wife and I will be discussing various aspects from the discussions with Tongesai for some time to come. By patiently answering my many questions he educated my wife and I about Zimbabwe and the region - culture, practices and assets of the people, typical family life, economy, weather, etc., and possibilities and trends into the future - all believable and detailed. The staff and facilities at the sable sands lodge were all excellent, beginning with Michelle’s clear instructions and cautions. She was a delight. We were asked if we wanted to take a charming hut as close as we could get to the marvelous watering hole there and got it. Incredibly we were greeted by a dust-cloud from a herd of maybe 100 Cape buffalo running to the water - unbelievable! The meals prepared by So and Derik were really good, throughout. MC, our drive guide was excellent and very accommodating to all the guests in the comfortable and safe-feeling, open 4x4. We met some nice co-guests. We saw so many animals on our safari that I will not attempt to recall here. I would just say that the many watering holes in the Hwange park were impressive, As an environmentalist myself I was very impressed with the solar powered system for exploiting the aquifers, and the foresight of the authorities in developing and maintains these. I know the history going back to the 1920’s, but if there wasn’t maintainence and upgrade the animals could not continue, especially with drought effects of climate change. Finally, I must comment on the fact that our first night in our hut was spent listening to the rumblings of the elephant just outside out hut. In the morning the tracks outside our hut showed how close our visitor was. We knew then that Michelle’s cautions were serious. But then more, the second night we had a lioness spend the night outside our hut, perhaps roaring a mating call. At first light MC came by with the truck and asked if we wanted to see the lion. I shot out with my camera. What an experience!! We hope our parting tip to the group of 16 people providing excellent service was meaningful. I will certainly recommend this trip to anyone who will hear me. What a privilege!!!"
