Ethiopia is a key range country for the Northeast African cheetah, but its populations are fragmented and declining. Conservation priorities in 2026 include protecting habitat, reducing conflict, stopping cub trafficking and strengthening cooperation between communities, authorities and conservation organisations.

A 27-day multi-country safari can cost $9,049 per person, while listed Zambia tours start at $1,183. [6] [3] That wide range makes careful comparison essential for 2027 travel.
Zambia Safari Tours 2027: Compare Operators and Book options range from 5 to 331 days, with listed rates starting at $1,183. [3] A 9-day Kafue route costs from $2,420 and covers Livingstone, Choma, Kafue National Park, and Lusaka. [4] Compare verified operators on SafariFind, then confirm flights, transfers, inclusions, and availability before booking.
Zambia Safari Tours 2027: Compare Operators and Book planning starts with matching your route, budget, and travel style. Zambia offers a strong choice for travelers who want a focused safari, a longer Southern Africa trip, or a mix of wildlife and city stops. SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, package details, and authentic traveler reviews.
Zambia is also a useful base for wider regional travel. A published 14-day itinerary includes Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Zambia, with three nights near Victoria Falls. [1] Therefore, your first decision is simple: choose a Zambia-only trip or combine Zambia with nearby countries.
The online market includes short tours, private itineraries, group departures, and long multi-country journeys. ToursOnTheWeb lists 10 Zambia tour operators offering 96 group and private tours. [3] This guide explains how to compare those choices without relying on price alone.
Quick answer: The best Zambia safari tour for 2027 depends on your route and comfort level. Listed prices start at $1,183, while a 9-day Kafue route starts at $2,420. [3] [4] Compare inclusions, travel time, operator reviews, and transfer costs before you request a quote.

Zambia Safari Tours 2027: Compare Operators and Book options are guided holidays that combine wildlife areas, towns, transport, and accommodation in one itinerary. The available market includes trips from 5 to 331 days. [3] Short tours suit first-time visitors, while longer routes connect Zambia with Zimbabwe, Botswana, or other Southern Africa destinations.
Zambia safari tours are not one fixed product. They can include national parks, river regions, walking activities, city stays, and border crossings. A 9-day listed itinerary visits Livingstone, Choma, Kafue National Park, and Lusaka. [4] It also covers 735 km and carries an “Easy” physical rating. [4]
Kafue National Park is therefore a useful example for comparison. The route shows how a safari can combine wildlife time with overland travel. Ask how many nights you spend inside a park. Also ask whether driving days reduce your game-viewing time.
Zambia safari tours are best for travelers who value quieter routes, guided nature time, and flexible trip design. They also suit travelers who want to add Victoria Falls to a wildlife holiday. SafariFind helps you compare packages and request quotes from verified operators before choosing a final itinerary.

Tour operators control key parts of your experience. They choose camps, guides, vehicles, transfer plans, and activity schedules. Two trips with similar prices can offer different park time, room types, group sizes, and meal plans.
Reviews can also reveal practical details. Look for comments about guide skill, punctual transfers, clear communication, and how the operator handled changes. SafariFind’s marketplace is designed to help you compare tour operators and read authentic reviews in one place.
Listed Zambia safari tour prices start at $1,183, while a listed 9-day Kafue itinerary starts at $2,420. [3] [4] These figures are useful comparison points, not guaranteed final quotes. Your total can change when you add flights, transfers, private vehicles, room upgrades, park costs, or extra activities.
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Listed Zambia tours | From $1,183 | 5–331 days | Not provided | Comparing group and private options |
| Listed Kafue itinerary | From $2,420 | 9 days | Not provided | Easy-paced route with park and city stops |
| Listed multi-country tour | $9,049 per person | 27 days | Not provided | Long Southern Africa journeys |
Source data does not provide operator ratings for these listed examples. Therefore, do not treat price as a quality score. Check verified reviews, guide details, accommodation, and what the quote includes.
Flights and transfers may not be included in safari prices. [2] This point matters when you compare a low headline rate with a complete trip cost. Ask each operator for a written quote that separates the tour price from extra travel costs.
Budget planning becomes easier when you compare similar routes. A 9-day Kafue itinerary from $2,420 should not sit beside a five-day budget trip without context. Compare nights, driving distance, activities, and accommodation first.
Request a quote from verified Zambia safari operators with your full 2027 budget before you compare final prices.
Zambia safari packages under $3,000 can help budget travelers set a starting point. The guide is especially useful if you want to compare shorter routes against the listed $2,420 Kafue example.
Travelers who want a water-based extension can also review Lake Kariba beach and safari combinations for 2027. Treat every advertised rate as a starting figure until the operator confirms dates and inclusions.
The best Zambia safari route depends on your available days, arrival airport, and preferred activities. A 9-day published itinerary links Livingstone, Choma, Kafue National Park, and Lusaka. [4] A 14-day regional itinerary adds Zimbabwe and Botswana, with three nights near Victoria Falls. [1]
Victoria Falls is a strong add-on for travelers who want wildlife and a major landmark. The published 14-day itinerary places three nights near Victoria Falls. [1] Livingstone can also work as a practical start or end point for a Zambia safari.
Read things to do in Livingstone in 2027 before you build your schedule. Leave enough time for transfers, arrival delays, and your chosen activities.
Kafue National Park features in a listed 9-day route that also visits Choma and Lusaka. [4] The route covers 735 km and has an “Easy” physical rating. [4] This option suits travelers who want a broad road journey with both park time and town stops.
Choma can form part of a south-central Zambia route. Ask the operator how long the transfer takes and whether the day includes a planned stop or a simple overnight stay.
The Lower Zambezi area suits travelers who want a river setting and a slower safari rhythm. SafariFind provides a 5-day Lower Zambezi safari itinerary for 2027 as a planning reference. Confirm the exact park, activities, and transport with the operator.
Kariba Dam and Mana Pools National Park may suit a wider regional plan. These locations work best when your itinerary has enough time for border planning and longer transfers.
Do not add every destination to one trip. Select two or three main areas, then protect time for wildlife viewing. A shorter route with fewer long drives often feels better than a rushed country-wide itinerary.
Book the best Zambia safari tour by checking the operator, itinerary, inclusions, and reviews in that order. Start planning in 2026 for 2027 travel. Early planning gives you more time to compare routes, ask questions, and adjust dates before availability narrows.
Write down your travel dates, group size, budget, and preferred pace. Add your must-have activities, such as walking, boating, game drives, or a Victoria Falls extension. This short brief helps operators send useful quotes instead of generic options.
Compare at least three proposals with the same trip length. Check the number of park nights, transfer distance, accommodation level, and activity list. A lower quote may include fewer nights or exclude transfers.
Use this checklist:
Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport is relevant for travelers using the Livingstone area. Ask whether your safari quote includes airport pickup. Also confirm the final drop-off point and the time needed for your onward flight.
The listed Kafue itinerary has an “Easy” physical rating. [4] That rating gives a useful reference, but ask what each activity involves. Walking safaris, long drives, boat trips, and early starts can feel different from the overall trip rating.
Ask for one document that shows the full cost per person. It should list accommodation, meals, transport, activities, park charges, transfers, and exclusions. Save the quote and compare it with your booking terms.
SafariFind connects you with verified tour operators, so you can compare packages and read reviews before making a decision. A clear quote and a strong review record are better signals than a low starting price.

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"Tongesai was awesome from the start. I knew he was a good tour operator because he answered all of my questions in a timely manner and no question was ever stupid. Everything was just as he said once we arrived and really it was better. We prepared for about a year in advance for this trip and the tour operator was instrumental and making this trip a success. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Give Tongesai a call or email, and you will 100% not be disappointed. I have a very deep understanding of border crossing and transportation challenges in many African countries at this point because of the efforts of the tour operator. This makes my wife and I have very comfortable to approach another visit or look at visiting a different African country."
