Eswatini has no national marine coastline, so its marine-conservation role is regional: protecting linked freshwater systems, supporting coastal work in neighbouring Mozambique and promoting sustainable tourism. The strongest documented Eswatini connection is All Out Africa Foundation’s marine research programme in Mozambique, alongside national protected-area financing and conservation partnerships.

Solitaire Tours 2027 includes Namibia desert stops, conservation safaris, and bird-watching trips in Washington State. Namibia routes usually connect Solitaire with Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, and Etosha National Park. Confirmed examples range from pending-price conservation trips to $13,995 per person for a 15-day African private-train expedition. Book early for 2027 dates.
Solitaire sits on a key Namibia route between desert attractions, coastal towns, and wildlife areas. The settlement is a popular lunch stop before travelers continue toward the Sossusvlei salt and clay pans [4]. However, the phrase “Solitaire tours” also describes bird-watching trips in Washington and wider African itineraries.
Solitaire Tours 2027 is therefore not one fixed package. It is a group of trips with different countries, themes, lengths, and prices. This guide separates Namibia day trips from longer safaris and explains what travelers should confirm before booking.
Quick answer: Solitaire is best known as a short Namibia stop, not a large safari park. A typical route links Solitaire with Sossusvlei and Swakopmund, while wildlife-focused plans place Etosha National Park at the center. Current 2027 examples include a conservation safari with pending rates and a private-train tour from $13,995 per person.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic traveler reviews. Use the details below to compare the trip style, dates, and price information that each operator publishes.
Solitaire Tours 2027 refers to travel experiences that include the Solitaire area or use “Solitaire” in their name. In Namibia, Solitaire is a small settlement known for apple pie and its position beside the desert route to Sossusvlei [4]. In Washington, a birding trip searches for Townsend’s Solitaire at Hurricane Ridge [3].
Namibia is the main destination for travelers who want a Solitaire day trip. A central Namibia route can connect Solitaire, Sossusvlei, and Swakopmund. SafariFind also identifies Etosha National Park as the center of wildlife-focused plans, while southern routes can include Lüderitz, Aus, and the Fish River Canyon region [7].
Solitaire is usually a stop within a wider road journey. Visitors may pause for lunch, buy a famous slice of apple pie, refuel, and continue toward desert viewpoints. The stop works well for self-drive travelers because it breaks up a long road day.
Solitaire is best for travelers who enjoy scenic drives, open desert, and flexible routes. It is less suitable for visitors seeking a full wildlife experience in one place. For that goal, add Etosha National Park or a dedicated conservation stay.
Solitaire matters because it links several of Namibia’s most searched experiences. Travelers can combine desert landscapes, coastal activities, and wildlife without treating every stop as a separate holiday. The route also suits a Namibia self drive safari, where you choose the pace and stops yourself.
Compare 2027 Namibia self-drive safari packages
A Solitaire-area safari often means a wider Namibia itinerary rather than game viewing in Solitaire itself. Sossusvlei offers desert scenery, while Etosha delivers the strongest wildlife focus. A conservation itinerary can add education and cheetah work through the Cheetah Conservation Fund.
Travelers should read the itinerary title carefully. Some packages use “safari” for a road journey through southern Africa. Others include guided wildlife drives, conservation visits, or luxury lodge stays. The activities, guide support, vehicle, and meal plan can differ sharply.
Solitaire tour prices depend on the destination, duration, transport, accommodation, and group size. As of August 2026, the clearest published 2027 price in the supplied research is $13,995 per person for Washington State University’s African Expedition by Private Train, scheduled for June 27 to July 11, 2027 [1].
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| NamMagic Conservation Safari | Pending confirmation | Includes May 23 arrival and Solitaire day | Not listed | Conservation travelers |
| African Expedition by Private Train | From $13,995 per person | June 27–July 11, 2027; 15 days | Not listed | Comfort-focused group travel |
| Washington Pacific Northwest Birding | Contact operator | Schedule varies | Not listed | Birders seeking Townsend’s Solitaire |
The NamMagic Conservation Safari lists an Arrival & Solitaire day on May 23, 2027. Shared-room pricing remains pending confirmation, and the shared occupancy limit is 12 guests. The single-room supplement is also listed as pending confirmation [2]. Ask for the final quote before paying a deposit.
The African Expedition by Private Train offers a useful benchmark for luxury African travel. Washington State University lists the trip for June 27 through July 11, 2027, from $13,995 per person [1]. This is not a short Solitaire day trip, so you should not compare its full price directly with a local road stop.
Safari Namibia luxus searches usually reflect interest in premium lodges, private vehicles, small groups, and high-touch service. A luxury Namibia itinerary may include private transfers, upgraded rooms, specialist guides, and selected meals. Yet a public price is not available for every 2027 Solitaire experience.
Luxury travelers should request a written list of inclusions. Check whether the rate covers airport transfers, park fees, fuel, meals, activities, drinks, and domestic flights. Also ask if the quote uses a shared vehicle or a private vehicle.
Budget travelers can reduce costs with a self-drive route and simple lodges. The trade-off is more planning and responsibility. You must manage fuel, driving time, road conditions, navigation, and booking changes without a guide.
SafariFind helps you compare tour operators, package details, and authentic reviews in one marketplace. Request quotes from verified Namibia tour operators for your 2027 budget
Prices can change before 2027 departures. Treat pending rates as unfinished quotes, not discounts. Compare the final total, not only the headline price.
Planning a Solitaire trip starts with choosing the travel style: self-drive, guided road tour, conservation safari, or luxury lodge circuit. A day trip works best as part of a route to Sossusvlei. A longer safari should add Etosha or another clear wildlife area.
Namibia self-drive safari planning requires realistic driving days. Solitaire can serve as a short break on the way to Sossusvlei. Do not pack too many distant stops into one day. Keep time for fuel, photo stops, meals, and slower gravel-road travel.
Desert day stop: Drive through Solitaire, pause for lunch, then continue toward Sossusvlei. This style suits independent travelers and short Namibia itineraries.
Central Namibia circuit: Combine Solitaire and Sossusvlei with Swakopmund. Coastal travelers can add a Walvis Bay beach holiday package guide for extra planning ideas.
Wildlife circuit: Place Etosha National Park at the center, then add desert stops before or after game drives. Travelers comparing lodge standards can use the Namibia safari lodge price guide.
Conservation trip: Choose the NamMagic Conservation Safari if you want a structured conservation experience. The May 23, 2027 itinerary includes an Arrival & Solitaire day, but shared and single-room prices require confirmation [2].
Birders need a different plan. The Washington Pacific Northwest itinerary includes Belfair State Park, Hurricane Ridge, Dungeness Spit, and Ediz Hook. It searches for Townsend’s Solitaire at Hurricane Ridge, so it is not a Namibia tour [3].
Do not confuse Solitaire in Namibia with Townsend’s Solitaire in Washington. Confirm the country, airport, activity list, and tour operator before booking. This simple check prevents an expensive planning mistake.
Comparing tours protects your budget and helps you choose the right experience. Solitaire trips range from a short lunch stop to a multi-country private-train journey. The same word can describe desert travel in Namibia or birding in Washington.
Tour duration is the first major difference. A short stop gives you a taste of the settlement and route. A longer itinerary gives more time for desert views, wildlife, conservation, and guided activities. A $13,995 private-train tour includes a much broader travel experience than a local day stop [1].
Transport is another major difference. Self-drive offers independence and control. A guided 4x4 offers local knowledge and less driving stress. A private train or premium group tour focuses on comfort, service, and a set schedule.
Accommodation also shapes the price. Basic camps and guesthouses may suit active travelers. Luxury lodges suit guests who want private rooms, fine meals, and more service. Always compare room type and occupancy before deciding.

Strong images help readers understand the route. Use one wide image of the Solitaire desert road, one image of Sossusvlei dunes, and one wildlife image from Etosha. Keep each image caption factual and avoid presenting Washington birding as Namibia safari content.
Related planning content includes the 7-day Etosha and Sossusvlei itinerary guide and the guide to Etosha night-drive costs and operators. These resources help you build a broader trip around Solitaire.
Solitaire Tours 2027 are trips that include Solitaire in Namibia or use Solitaire as a birding theme in Washington. Namibia trips usually connect Solitaire with Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, or Etosha. Washington birding tours search for Townsend’s Solitaire at Hurricane Ridge [3][7].
A confirmed 2027 example costs from $13,995 per person for Washington State University’s 15-day African Expedition by Private Train. The NamMagic Conservation Safari includes a Solitaire day, but shared-room and single-room prices remain pending confirmation [1][2].
Solitaire is well suited to a Namibia self-drive safari because it breaks up the road journey toward Sossusvlei. Travelers can stop for lunch, refuel, and continue through the desert. Plan driving time carefully and confirm road, vehicle, and fuel details.
Solitaire is known for its small settlement, desert setting, and apple pie stop. A Southern Africa itinerary uses Solitaire for lunch before continuing to the Sossusvlei salt and clay pans [4]. It is usually a route stop rather than a major wildlife park.
Safari Namibia luxus means luxury Namibia safari travel, such as premium lodges, private guides, upgraded rooms, and tailored transport. Prices depend on the itinerary and inclusions. Ask operators for a confirmed 2027 quote that lists park fees, meals, transfers, and activities.
Book by checking the country, dates, inclusions, and final price first. SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, authentic reviews, and relevant Namibia packages. Compare the options, request a quote, and confirm availability directly before making payment.
Solitaire Tours 2027 cover more than one travel idea. In Namibia, Solitaire is a scenic stop on routes to Sossusvlei and a useful part of a self-drive safari. In Washington, the name points to Townsend’s Solitaire birding at Hurricane Ridge. A conservation safari includes a Solitaire day on May 23, 2027, with prices still pending [2]. A larger African private-train journey runs June 27–July 11, 2027, from $13,995 per person [1].
Choose a self-drive route for freedom and desert scenery. Choose a guided or luxury safari for support, comfort, and easier planning. Compare inclusions carefully, then read real traveler reviews before booking.

"Tongesai was recommended to me by a friend who also booked his amazing safari through Cultural Vibes; I am glad we took his recommendation. Our safari across Victoria Falls and Botswana was top notch. Tongesai booked us in all of the best camps and with the best safari outfitters. Our excursions were extremely well planned and full of excitement. The restaurants were fantastic as well. Personally, I love planning my own vacations but honestly don't think there is an easy and reliable way to plan an African safari without using a travel agent very familiar with the region. Located in Zimbabwe and with a travel and tourism background, Tongesai was able to coordinate our stays between 5 safari camps which included private charter flights across the regions. He also personally escorted us into Botswana and helped with border crossing which was very helpful as well. Compared to larger companies, Tongesai's package rates were more reasonable and came with a customized touch. I highly recommend Cultural Vibes to anyone looking to go on safari in Zimbabwe and its bordering countries (Botswana, Zambia & Namibia). Thanks, T!"

"We were amazing group of 4 adults from Atlanta USA. Upon arrival we found our guide Stuart Muronga already waiting for us. He picked us up in a well air-conditioned vehicle and offered us water at soft drinks. Before going to check in we drove around the beautiful city . After checking in he dropped us off at the famous Boma restaurant..we had an amazing experience there over delicious meals and drums and dance. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. The next morning he picked us up for out safari experience in Chobe which is in Botswana just an hour drive from Vic Falls. We spent 6 hrs there then drove another 40 or so minutes to some island in Namibia. Stuart was so knowledgeable with great communication skills which made the whole experience so smooth and fun."

"I would like to note an excellent organisation of this tour. In advance Kubwa Five Safaris created whats app groupe for me so I had contacts of people who assisted me during my travel. I was picked up at the airport. My guide was waiting for me. The accommodations chosen for this trip were correct, clean with good service. The choice of restaurants corresponded the rate of this tour. We visited wonderfull places with beautiful landscapes, I enjoyed game drive and visit of Etosha parc. My driver was a professional guide, so I had explanations on historical events, culture, geology, flore and faune of the sites that we visited. Kubwa Five Safaris chose reliable partners in Namibia, that made my trip safe and I would like to thank them for that."

"Our trip around Namibia was booked through Kubwa Five Safaris, main contact was Sylvia (from their sister company Ompo Travel). Everything was organised perfectly, Sylvia listened to our needs and constantly adapted the trip according to our (many) changes of mind, to ensure we could get the best out of it, both in terms of things to do and accommodations where to stay; but she also added her local know-how to advise our decisions on what really worth seeing and what to skip (given the limited time of two weeks). She was also very responsive, both prior the trip as well as during the trip, taking immediate action if needed (only once, due to a misunderstanding on the check-out from a lodge). Namibia is an amazing place with plenty of wilderness and photo opportunities, and we have enjoyed it fully!"
