NamibRand Walking Safari Packages 2027: Prices Compared range from $5,820 to $20,900 per person in the published listings reviewed for 2027. The lowest listed rate covers a 10-day Namibia South trip in January through March, while luxury small-group journeys reach $16,995 and $20,900. Use the price dates carefully, then compare verified safari operators on SafariFind.
One 9-day Namibia journey in April 2027 costs $20,900 per person, while a 10-day southern route starts at $5,820. That wide gap makes NamibRand walking safari prices worth comparing before you choose a camp, travel month, or operator.
NamibRand Walking Safari Packages 2027: Prices Compared is a practical guide to the published rates available for 2027. It separates low-season pricing from peak-season pricing. It also explains which prices include internal flights, which exclude international flights, and which depend on two people sharing.
NamibRand Nature Reserve trips appeal to travelers who prefer desert silence, short walks, remote camps, and close views of the Namib environment. However, the word “walking” does not mean every listed Namibia package is a full-time walking safari. Some trips combine guided walks with vehicle drives, lodge stays, internal flights, and wider routes across southern Namibia.
Quick answer: A 2027 NamibRand safari costs $5,820 to $20,900 per person in the published examples. The lowest rate is a 10-day southern Namibia trip for January 7 to March 31, excluding international flights. October and May departures sit near $14,200 to $16,995. Compare what each price includes before booking.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, safari packages, and authentic traveler reviews. You can use the marketplace to compare tour styles before asking for a quote. The right choice depends on your budget, walking goals, group size, and preferred travel dates.
NamibRand walking safari packages are guided desert trips that use the NamibRand region as part of a wider Namibia itinerary. They may include walks, naturalist-led activities, remote camps, lodge stays, and transfers between desert areas. In 2027, published examples range from 9 to 13 days and from $5,820 to $20,900 per person.
Namibia itineraries from Wilderness Travel include remote camps, spectacular lodges, and a safari led by a naturalist guide. The listed itinerary starts at $16,395 [1]. That price gives you a useful benchmark for a higher-end guided journey, although the listing does not establish that international flights are included.
NamibRand is often paired with other southern Namibia stops. A longer trip may include desert scenery, canyon country, and the Atlantic coast. The route can feel calm and spacious, but long transfers and small aircraft can affect the final cost. Read the itinerary days closely instead of comparing price alone.
Walking gives you a slower view of the desert. You notice tracks, plants, rock forms, and changes in the sand that pass quickly from a vehicle. A walking-focused package also requires more attention to heat, footwear, water, and daily distances.
Walking safari does not always mean strenuous hiking. Many luxury trips use short guided walks beside a camp, then return guests to a lodge or vehicle. Ask the operator how many walks are planned, how long they last, and whether a vehicle safari forms part of the route.
NamibRand walking packages are best for travelers who enjoy open desert, small camps, and a slower daily pace. They suit couples, photographers, and guests who want a guided trip without a large coach group. They are less suitable for travelers who want constant big-game viewing or a low-cost self-drive holiday.
SafariFind lets you compare Namibia packages with other safari styles. If you want a wider route, read the guide to NamibRand safari packages for first-timers before deciding how much time to spend in the reserve.

Published 2027 NamibRand and southern Namibia packages cost $5,820 to $20,900 per person. Safari.com lists the lowest reviewed rate at $5,820 for January through March. Indagare lists the highest reviewed rate at $20,900 for a nine-day April journey. The other examples sit between those two prices.
| Package or itinerary | Dates | Duration | Price | Price detail |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Safari.com Namibia South | January 7 to March 31, 2027 | 10 days | $5,820 | Per person, international flights excluded [3] |
| Safari.com Namibia South | April 1 to June 30, 2027 | 10 days | $6,020 | Per person, international flights excluded [3] |
| Safari.com Namibia South | July 1 to September 30, 2027 | 10 days | $6,155 | Per person, international flights excluded [3] |
| Abercrombie & Kent Desert Safari | May 8 to May 17, 2027 | 10 days | $16,995 | Per person, double occupancy, including internal air [4] |
| Indagare Final Frontiers: Wild Namibia | April 20 to April 28, 2027 | 9 days | $20,900 | Group limited to 10 travelers [6] |
Safari.com offers the clearest seasonal comparison. Its 10-day Namibia South package rises from $5,820 in the January to March period, to $6,020 from April to June, and $6,155 from July to September [3]. The difference between the lowest and highest listed Safari.com rates is $335 per person.
Scott Dunn lists its Namibia Mobile Safari from $14,200 for October 2027. The rate is based on two people sharing, and the listed deposit starts at $3,500 [2]. That means a solo traveler should not treat $14,200 as a guaranteed single-person price.
Abercrombie & Kent lists a May 8 to May 17, 2027 departure at $16,995 per person. The rate is for double occupancy and includes internal air [4]. Internal air can save time across Namibia, but it is not the same as including international flights from your home country.
Indagare lists a nine-day Namibia journey from April 20 to April 28, 2027, at $20,900. The group size is limited to 10 travelers [6]. The higher rate may suit guests who value a small group and a shorter, premium itinerary, but compare inclusions line by line.
Luxury Namibia lodges commonly cost about $700 to $2,700 per person per night, according to African Safari Mag. The most exclusive properties can cost more [5]. Lodge rates help explain why a short luxury journey may cost more than a longer route using simpler camps.
Compare the full package, not the headline number. Check internal flights, transfers, meals, park fees, guided walks, drinks, tips, and international airfare. SafariFind can help you compare operators and request quotes that show these details in one place.
Compare verified Namibia tour operators with published 2027 price options when your main concern is staying within a clear budget.
Plan a NamibRand walking safari by matching the walking program to your fitness, then checking every price inclusion. Start with dates, group size, and trip style. After that, compare camp level, internal flights, transfer time, and the number of guided walks.
Ask the operator four simple questions before paying a deposit:
These answers matter more than the package label. A “walking safari” can describe one short camp walk inside a larger lodge circuit. Another trip may build each day around walking and naturalist talks. The itinerary should say which experience you are buying.
January 7 to March 31 has the lowest reviewed rate at $5,820 per person on Safari.com. April 1 to June 30 rises to $6,020, while July 1 to September 30 reaches $6,155 [3]. These dates help budget travelers compare the same 10-day package across listed periods.
October 2027 brings a much higher published price of $14,200 for the Scott Dunn mobile safari [2]. May 8 to May 17 costs $16,995 on the Abercrombie & Kent departure [4]. These figures do not prove that one month is better for walking. They show how much operator style and package level affect cost.
Namibia has sharp temperature changes between day and night. Pack light layers, a warm fleece or jacket, long-sleeved shirts, light trousers, a sun hat, and firm walking shoes. Neutral colors work well for desert travel, and a small daypack keeps water and personal items easy to reach [8].
Bring a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, lip balm, sunglasses, and a headlamp. Ask whether the camp provides walking poles or binoculars. Keep your main bag within the operator’s weight limit if the route uses light aircraft.
A wider southern Namibia trip may include Deadvlei, the Naukluft Mountains, or coastal stops near Lüderitz. Each extra stop changes the pace. A route with more driving may offer more sights, but fewer quiet hours on foot.
Travelers who prefer to drive themselves can compare the 7-day Namibia self-drive itinerary and cost guide. Self-drive trips can give you more control, while guided walking packages remove much of the route planning and driving work.
Read verified traveler reviews before you choose an operator. Look for comments about guide skill, walking pace, camp comfort, transfers, food, and how the team handled changes. A high price does not guarantee the right walking style for you.
SafariFind brings operator profiles and authentic reviews together. Request quotes from verified operators after you have selected two or three trips with similar dates. That makes the comparison fairer and helps reveal which extras sit outside the published rate.
NamibRand walking safari packages cost $5,820 to $20,900 per person in the published 2027 examples. The $5,820 rate covers a 10-day southern Namibia package from January 7 to March 31, excluding international flights. A nine-day Indagare journey costs $20,900 from April 20 to April 28 [3][6].
January through March has the lowest listed rate in this comparison. Safari.com prices its 10-day Namibia South package at $5,820 per person from January 7 to March 31, 2027. International flights are excluded, so add airfare and check all other package inclusions before comparing the total cost [3].
A NamibRand walking safari does not always include international flights. Safari.com clearly excludes international flights from its $5,820 to $6,155 prices [3]. Abercrombie & Kent includes internal air in its $16,995 rate, but internal air does not cover flights from your home country [4].
The compared 2027 packages last 9, 10, or 13 days. Indagare lists nine days, Safari.com and Abercrombie & Kent list 10-day examples, and Wilderness Travel lists a 13-day Namibia itinerary [1][4][6]. Confirm how many days take place in NamibRand itself.
October is a listed departure period for Scott Dunn’s Namibia Mobile Safari, priced from $14,200 based on two people sharing [2]. The price alone does not prove that October is the best walking month. Ask about daily temperatures, walk length, camp location, and backup vehicle activities.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic reviews. Compare packages, read past traveler feedback, and request quotes for your preferred 2027 dates. Ask each operator to confirm walking activities, flights, transfers, group size, and the final price before you book.
NamibRand walking safari packages in 2027 cost $5,820 to $20,900 per person in the published examples. The $5,820 Safari.com rate is the clearest low-price benchmark, while Scott Dunn at $14,200, Abercrombie & Kent at $16,995, and Indagare at $20,900 represent higher-priced guided trips [2][3][4][6].
Choose the lower-priced route if you want a longer southern Namibia itinerary and can arrange international flights separately. Choose a premium mobile or small-group trip if camp style, internal air, or a smaller group matters more than the lowest rate. In either case, check how much walking the itinerary really includes.
Use verified reviews to judge guide quality and camp service. Compare dates, deposit terms, flight inclusions, and group size before you pay. Compare verified safari packages on SafariFind, then request a quote from the operator that matches your walking goals and 2027 budget. As 2027 bookings fill, a clear side-by-side comparison will save time and prevent costly surprises.

"We, a family of 4 (kids age 10 and 11), were looking for a trip to Botswana/the Delta to finish a long journey through Namibia and Botswana. We choose to do a mobile Safari - which was a absolutely perfect decision. It is an unbelivebal experience to sleep right next to all the wildlife. Monametsi, our contact at Moonstroll, is a 10 out of 10. He answered questions always immediately, gave us all needed information, took away our concerns about the mokoro (yes, the mokoro really was the best Part of the Trip), welcomed us at the beginning and helped us to get the PCR Tests done to fly home. Also my first thought about transfering money somewhere you don‘t know - I would not hesitate doing it with Moonstoll. As I mentioned, the Mokoro was the best part of this trip. We got poled by local people to the „Island“ where we spent 2 nights. There we were doing walking safaris, seeing the „usual“ game as well as elephants, buffalo and even 6 lions - on a walking safari! Unbelievable, such an experience! Also the local guides doctor and gottfried were doing an awesome job, my son still talks about gottfried - he was just outstanding, even if he couldn’t speak that much English (that was doctors part), but he was the one spotting everything and making jokes all the time. Both of them were even playing cards with us as we‘ve been in the camp for a break during the day and were telling stories at the camp fire at night. On the Island also the Chef and camp assistant joined and did a good job. The tents were very comfortable and the meals cooked over the fire were good. The 2 nights after the mokoro were supposed to be in Moremi. As the Guide we had for the next days, forgot his license, we were not able to stay in Moremi over night. Monametsi and the Team tried to find a solution, so we ended up at another place about 45 minutes away from the gate where they organized a night and a morning safari besides a full day in Moremi. Because of what happened and communication or the not existing communication at first point from the guide, this part was a bit disappointing compared to the first 2 nights. I would definitely go again to Botswana and if I would have the choice of a mobile Safari or a fly-in with lodge, I would go for the mobile one."
"Everything was well organized: on time, accordino to the plan but with the right flessibility. The driver Dylos was super (expert, available and lovely with us). The camps were in fantastic location and “private location” just for us (not share with other Tourist). The team (Kennedy, chef Midoh, Jonathan and Gaety) was so carefull polite and nice with us: wake up every morning with Kennedy “good morning” and clean water for washing; coming back from the safari the hot shower was ready for us, the fire for aperitive looking the moon and them dinner (excellent chef Midoh always listening to our need, one of us vegetarian). We saw so many many animals (Lions Chita Bufaos il pass zebra giraffe a )with Dylos and different parc (The Bush in this period is at its maximum). Some days we had breakfast in the Bush (one with a group of giraffes around us) and twise also the lunch server with table and chairs in fantastic contest (during the transfer from one park to the other). Er aso had mokoro tour in the okawango river with elefants flowers and hyppo, and a spectaculare private boat tour in Chobe (bewtween Botswana and Namibia coast). At the end Victoria Falls: incredible “show”. All the lodge selected by Moonstroll were clean and comfortable. So …..tks Moonstroll and team for this wanderful dream!"
"The two brothers at the helm of Okavango Exploration Safaris are extraordinary hosts. Their purpose is clearly to give clients the very best that the Botswana bush has to offer. This means they expertly track down a wide array of wildlife, they share their vast knowledge of the flora and fauna of the land, their camps are simple and well-run, the food is delicious and they accommodate food restrictions very well, and you always feel safe in their hands. While planning our family safari, we were in constant communication with our guide, Sox. He was most helpful and very flexible in working out schedules and activities, and always got back to us immediately. Sox was at the airport to meet us with open arms in his well-equipped and very comfortable safari vehicle. He is an excellent driver and spotter, and has a warm and friendly personality. From the coffees at sun-up to the gin and tonics at sun-down, we enjoyed every minute. We saw grand herds of elephant, giraffe, zebras, antelopes, as well as lions, leopards, cheetah, wild dogs, buffalo, hippos, to name a few. We shared stories around the fire under an incredible blanket of stars, we heard the roar of lions at night while we were tucked safely into our tents. And we experienced a beautiful morning on the river in mokoros, where we came face to face with a herd of elephants taking a drink and splashing around! It was all magical and never to be forgotten. We have enjoyed seven safaris in the Botswana/Namibia area, two of which were with Okavango Exploration Safaris. We highly recommend this outfit and definitely feel we received good value for our money."
"Tongesai was recommended to me by a friend who also booked his amazing safari through Cultural Vibes; I am glad we took his recommendation. Our safari across Victoria Falls and Botswana was top notch. Tongesai booked us in all of the best camps and with the best safari outfitters. Our excursions were extremely well planned and full of excitement. The restaurants were fantastic as well. Personally, I love planning my own vacations but honestly don't think there is an easy and reliable way to plan an African safari without using a travel agent very familiar with the region. Located in Zimbabwe and with a travel and tourism background, Tongesai was able to coordinate our stays between 5 safari camps which included private charter flights across the regions. He also personally escorted us into Botswana and helped with border crossing which was very helpful as well. Compared to larger companies, Tongesai's package rates were more reasonable and came with a customized touch. I highly recommend Cultural Vibes to anyone looking to go on safari in Zimbabwe and its bordering countries (Botswana, Zambia & Namibia). Thanks, T!"
"We were amazing group of 4 adults from Atlanta USA. Upon arrival we found our guide Stuart Muronga already waiting for us. He picked us up in a well air-conditioned vehicle and offered us water at soft drinks. Before going to check in we drove around the beautiful city . After checking in he dropped us off at the famous Boma restaurant..we had an amazing experience there over delicious meals and drums and dance. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. The next morning he picked us up for out safari experience in Chobe which is in Botswana just an hour drive from Vic Falls. We spent 6 hrs there then drove another 40 or so minutes to some island in Namibia. Stuart was so knowledgeable with great communication skills which made the whole experience so smooth and fun."
