NamibRand Safari Packages 2027: Prices for First-Timers start at ZAR 293,865 per person for four guests sharing in January to June. High-season prices reach ZAR 449,145 per person for two guests sharing from July to December. A Namibia mobile safari costs $13,700 in April to June and $14,200 in July to September 2027. [1][3]
One NamibRand package lists a high-season price of ZAR 449,145 per person, before special offers, for two guests sharing. [1]
NamibRand Safari Packages 2027: Prices for First-Timers are premium desert travel plans in southern Namibia. These trips focus on remote desert scenery, fly-in travel, private camps, and a slower pace than a standard road tour. The exact price depends on the travel season and the number of guests sharing a room. [1]
For 2027, the clearest listed price is ZAR 363,915 per person for two guests sharing in the low season. Four guests sharing pay ZAR 293,865 per person. In the high season, the same group sizes pay ZAR 449,145 and ZAR 379,095 per person. [1]
Here is the quick answer. NamibRand safari packages suit travelers who want a high-end desert trip with fewer driving days. January to June has the lower listed rate. July to December has the higher rate. Compare room-sharing terms carefully before you book, because the difference can reach ZAR 70,050 per person. [1]
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators. You can compare safari packages, check authentic traveler reviews, and request a quote before choosing a 2027 departure.
NamibRand safari packages are organized desert journeys built around the NamibRand region and nearby southern Namibia routes. The featured 2027 fly-in package runs for 11 days and prices the trip by season, room sharing, and single occupancy. That structure matters because a first-time traveler may compare the headline rate without checking the sharing basis. [1]
NamibRand is best known for a remote desert setting and premium camp stays. A luxury Namibia safari guide places the NamibRand and Sossusvlei among the country’s main areas for remote desert lodges. [4] First-time guests often pair this region with places such as Deadvlei, the Naukluft Mountains, or coastal stops near Lüderitz.
The appeal is simple. You spend less time planning transfers and more time following one clear desert route. A fly-in plan can also reduce the need to manage long self-drive distances. However, the premium price means you should check what the package includes before paying a deposit.
Known for: desert landscapes, high-end camps, planned transfers, and small-group travel. The featured package uses an 11-day format, while other Namibia trips offer different lengths and prices. Audley lists Namibia trips lasting 8, 11, and 15 days, with listed prices beginning at $3,840, $15,220, and $17,790 per person for those examples. [7]
Why it matters: room sharing changes the cost by tens of thousands of rand. A four-person booking saves ZAR 70,050 per person compared with two guests sharing during both listed seasons. [1] That makes group size one of the first questions to ask when comparing NamibRand safari packages.

The figures change with room sharing, so first-timers should compare like-for-like prices. [1]

The low-season price for two guests sharing is ZAR 363,915 per person. Four guests sharing pay ZAR 293,865 each. The low-season single supplement is ZAR 88,935. [1] These rates exclude special offers, and peak travel periods can affect the final cost. [1]
The high-season price for two guests sharing is ZAR 449,145 per person. Four guests sharing pay ZAR 379,095 each. The high-season single supplement is ZAR 123,025. [1] The listed difference between two and four guests is ZAR 70,050 per person in either season.
A Namibia mobile safari lists $13,700 for April, May, and June 2027. The same operator lists $14,200 for July, August, and September. The operator describes those figures as guideline prices based on two people sharing. [3]
A 10-day A&K desert safari lists a guaranteed May 8 to 17, 2027 departure at $17,995 per person. [6] That trip is a useful comparison for travelers who want a fixed departure date rather than a flexible private itinerary.
| Safari example | Travel period | Price | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Namibia mobile safari | April to June 2027 | $13,700 | Guideline price for two people sharing |
| Namibia mobile safari | July to September 2027 | $14,200 | Guideline price for two people sharing |
| A&K desert safari | May 8 to 17, 2027 | $17,995 | 10-day guaranteed departure |
These examples use different operators, currencies, trip lengths, and booking terms. They are comparison points, not direct substitutes. Always check the inclusion list, flights, transfers, meals, park fees, and room type before judging value.
Compare tour operators and request quotes for your 2027 budget
First-timers should check the sharing basis, season, itinerary length, and included transfers before booking NamibRand safari packages. A low headline price may apply only to four guests sharing. A solo traveler may pay the listed supplement as well as the base rate. Ask for the full total in writing.
January to June is the listed low-season period for the featured 2027 package. July to December is the listed high-season period. [1] The high-season rate for two guests sharing is ZAR 85,230 more per person than the low-season rate. [1]
That gap is large enough to shape your travel dates. If your schedule allows April, May, or June, compare the lower NamibRand rate with the mobile safari guide price of $13,700 for those months. [3] You should still compare the route and inclusions, not price alone.
Two guests sharing is the most common comparison point in the supplied rates. Four guests sharing lowers the cost to ZAR 293,865 per person in low season and ZAR 379,095 in high season. [1] Solo travelers face a supplement of ZAR 88,935 or ZAR 123,025, depending on season. [1]
Ask whether four guests travel together in one vehicle or only share accommodation. That detail can change the feel of the trip. It also helps you avoid comparing a private departure with a larger group product.
NamibRand packages can fit well into a wider southern Namibia trip. Possible add-ons include Aus, Solitaire, and the Tsau //Khaeb (Sperrgebiet) National Park. Other travelers may prefer a northbound route that adds Etosha or Cheetah Conservation Fund.
For a wider comparison, read the guide to Namibia safari costs in 2027. It can help you judge whether a fly-in desert trip matches your total holiday budget.
These questions are practical, not fussy. A premium package can become poor value if you add large transfer costs after booking.
Plan a first NamibRand safari by choosing your dates, setting a sharing preference, and comparing the full itinerary. Start with the lower January to June rate if your dates are flexible. Then compare a two-person booking against a four-person booking before choosing the operator.
Choose January to June if the listed low-season rate fits your calendar. Choose July to December if you want the high-season period and accept the higher price. [1] April to June also appears in the mobile safari price guide at $13,700 for two people sharing. [3]
Couples should begin with the two-guests-sharing rate. Families or friends should ask for the four-guests-sharing rate. Solo travelers should add the single supplement to the correct seasonal price. [1]
Do not assume that a larger group means less personal attention. Ask how many guests travel in each vehicle, how guides handle activities, and whether the operator uses one camp or several.
Match trip length before comparing price. The featured NamibRand fly-in safari uses an 11-day format. [1] The A&K desert safari lasts 10 days and lists a May 8 to 17 departure at $17,995 per person. [6] The mobile safari guide lists a different price structure and a two-person sharing basis. [3]
Travelers who want Etosha can compare the 7-day Etosha safari itinerary for 2027. Travelers focused on desert scenery can also review Deadvlei safari package routes and prices.
SafariFind lets you compare verified operators and read authentic reviews in one place. Use the marketplace to request a quote that matches your dates and group size.
Keep the first itinerary focused. A desert trip loses some of its value if you spend most days changing camps. Build in time for the landscape, early starts, and long transfers. If you want more wildlife, compare a southern desert route with a northern itinerary that includes Etosha.
Use the same currency when comparing quotes. ZAR 363,915 and $13,700 are not directly comparable without an exchange rate. Ask each operator for a written cost breakdown, then compare the same items line by line.

"The two brothers at the helm of Okavango Exploration Safaris are extraordinary hosts. Their purpose is clearly to give clients the very best that the Botswana bush has to offer. This means they expertly track down a wide array of wildlife, they share their vast knowledge of the flora and fauna of the land, their camps are simple and well-run, the food is delicious and they accommodate food restrictions very well, and you always feel safe in their hands. While planning our family safari, we were in constant communication with our guide, Sox. He was most helpful and very flexible in working out schedules and activities, and always got back to us immediately. Sox was at the airport to meet us with open arms in his well-equipped and very comfortable safari vehicle. He is an excellent driver and spotter, and has a warm and friendly personality. From the coffees at sun-up to the gin and tonics at sun-down, we enjoyed every minute. We saw grand herds of elephant, giraffe, zebras, antelopes, as well as lions, leopards, cheetah, wild dogs, buffalo, hippos, to name a few. We shared stories around the fire under an incredible blanket of stars, we heard the roar of lions at night while we were tucked safely into our tents. And we experienced a beautiful morning on the river in mokoros, where we came face to face with a herd of elephants taking a drink and splashing around! It was all magical and never to be forgotten. We have enjoyed seven safaris in the Botswana/Namibia area, two of which were with Okavango Exploration Safaris. We highly recommend this outfit and definitely feel we received good value for our money."
"Tongesai was recommended to me by a friend who also booked his amazing safari through Cultural Vibes; I am glad we took his recommendation. Our safari across Victoria Falls and Botswana was top notch. Tongesai booked us in all of the best camps and with the best safari outfitters. Our excursions were extremely well planned and full of excitement. The restaurants were fantastic as well. Personally, I love planning my own vacations but honestly don't think there is an easy and reliable way to plan an African safari without using a travel agent very familiar with the region. Located in Zimbabwe and with a travel and tourism background, Tongesai was able to coordinate our stays between 5 safari camps which included private charter flights across the regions. He also personally escorted us into Botswana and helped with border crossing which was very helpful as well. Compared to larger companies, Tongesai's package rates were more reasonable and came with a customized touch. I highly recommend Cultural Vibes to anyone looking to go on safari in Zimbabwe and its bordering countries (Botswana, Zambia & Namibia). Thanks, T!"
"We were amazing group of 4 adults from Atlanta USA. Upon arrival we found our guide Stuart Muronga already waiting for us. He picked us up in a well air-conditioned vehicle and offered us water at soft drinks. Before going to check in we drove around the beautiful city . After checking in he dropped us off at the famous Boma restaurant..we had an amazing experience there over delicious meals and drums and dance. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. The next morning he picked us up for out safari experience in Chobe which is in Botswana just an hour drive from Vic Falls. We spent 6 hrs there then drove another 40 or so minutes to some island in Namibia. Stuart was so knowledgeable with great communication skills which made the whole experience so smooth and fun."
"We planned a 10 day tour to see the best of namibia we personalised the tour to what we wanted to see.we had an issue with our flight but Sylvia replanned the tour on 9 days so we missed nothing very very appreciated since it wasn't their responsibility and could have simply made us skip the first day.the tour was fantastic we got to see everything we wanted to see. "Initially we did not really know what to expect, so we bombarded Kubwa Five Safaris with what might have been considered to be an unreasonable amount of questions - where to go, what would we see, where would we stay, and who would travel with us. Every time we asked a question the team responded incredibly quickly and were happy to answer the many follow-up questions that we had. Ultimately, we decided to travel as a couple with one of their local guides who would accompany us and drive us from location to location over the course of our 12 day trip. The Kubwa Five Safaris team were happy to customize the itinerary to make the absolute most of our time in wonderful Namibia (even when we asked them to add a last minute game drive before going to the airport to fly home). Our guide Angelo did an amazing job looking after us. Not only did he take the pressure away from the daily driving on unpaved roads, but he was our nature/cultural/city/history expert, and with him our unforgettable trip exceeded our every expectation. We started on a high at a private game reserve, before spending a further three days in Etosha National Park. After having spent two interesting days in Damaraland we moved on to Swakopmund with the German history before tackling the dunes in a 4x4 around Walvis Bay. Our final couple of days were spent in Deadvlei climbing "Big Daddy", overnighting in the Kalahari, before returning to Windhoek for the flight home... twelve amazing days filled with experiences of a lifetime and we cannot thank Kubwa Five Safaris enough for being with us every step of the journey. We are already thinking of where to go next with this amazing agency :-)"
