Selected Maun safari packages for 2027 start at about $2,590 per person, while luxury stays can pass $2,700 per day.
Maun safari packages in 2027 offer access to the Okavango Delta, Moremi, mokoro trips, game drives, and river cruises. Prices start near $2,590 per person for selected multi-day tours. A seven-day mid-range safari costs about $4,200 to $4,900. Book early because some 2027 departures already have limited availability.
Maun Safari Packages 2027: Prices, Tours and Day Trips give travelers a clear way to plan an Okavango holiday. Maun is the main starting point for many trips into the delta and nearby wildlife areas. Package choices range from short all-inclusive stays to long safaris that last up to two weeks. [1]
Maun safari packages suit travelers who want a practical base for Botswana wildlife trips. You can compare game drives, mokoro outings, river cruises, and lodge stays. The right choice depends on your budget, trip length, comfort level, and preferred way to see wildlife.
A quick answer is simple. Plan about $2,590 per person for selected multi-day trips in 2027. A seven-day mid-range safari costs about $4,200 to $4,900. Luxury Moremi stays can cost more than $2,700 per person each day. [1][2]
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic traveler reviews. That matters in Maun, where two packages with similar names may include very different transfers, meals, camps, and activities. Compare the details before you pay a deposit.
Maun safari packages in 2027 are organized trips that start in Maun and reach the Okavango Delta or nearby safari areas. They usually combine accommodation, transport, guided activities, and selected meals. Some packages focus on short day trips. Others build a full route around several nights in the bush.
Maun is known for access to the Okavango Delta and Moremi game drives. Common activities include mokoro trips through water channels, guided drives, river cruises, and lodge stays. These trips let you choose between water-based viewing, land safaris, or a mix of both.
Okavango Delta trips often work well for travelers who want a slower pace. A mokoro moves quietly through narrow channels. A game drive covers more ground. A river cruise gives you another way to watch the water and its wildlife. Your package should state which activities are included.
Moremi Game Reserve is often the main choice for land-based wildlife viewing. The Okavango Delta is the better fit for travelers who want water channels and mokoro outings. You can also extend a route toward the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, the Motloutse River, or other Botswana destinations.
Price alone does not tell you what a Maun safari includes. A lower rate may cover a simple camp and shared vehicle. A higher rate may include a private guide, fly-in transfer, lodge meals, and fewer guests. Ask for a full list of inclusions before comparing totals.
SafariFind gives travelers a place to compare safari packages and read reviews from past guests. You can also ask verified operators about room type, transfer times, activity limits, and cancellation terms before booking.

Maun safari packages cost about $2,590 per person at the lower end for selected multi-day tours. A seven-day mid-range safari costs about $4,200 to $4,900. Peak-season rates reach about $900 to $1,200 per person per day, while luxury stays can exceed $2,700 per day. [1][2]
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Budget Maun safari | About $168 per person per day | Short or flexible trips | Check current operator reviews | Travelers watching costs |
| Selected multi-day package | From about $2,590 per person | 2 days to two weeks | Check package listing | Travelers seeking a set itinerary |
| Seven-day mid-range safari | $4,200 to $4,900 per person | 7 days | Check verified reviews | First-time Botswana visitors |
| Peak-season safari | $900 to $1,200 per person per day | Depends on itinerary | Check operator profile | Travelers prioritizing peak travel dates |
| Luxury Moremi stay | More than $2,700 per person per day | Usually lodge based | Check current listing | Private camps and high comfort |
Package inclusions vary, so read the booking page closely. Many travelers need to check accommodation, meals, park fees, guide services, road transfers, light-aircraft transfers, and activities. International flights often sit outside the safari price. A separate travel budget prevents a cheap quote from becoming an expensive surprise.
Flights also affect your total. Direct Cape Town to Maun flights are reported at about $500 to $800, based on the season and booking time. [3] Regional flights to Kasane cost about $250 to $400 one way, while international flights can add about $900 to $1,800 per person. These figures come from the current research summary and should be confirmed before payment.
Bookmundi lists 90 Maun tours. Its listings cover trips lasting 6 to 56 days and include 19,400 customer reviews. [6] That wide range shows why you should compare the full itinerary, rather than only the headline price.
Compare Botswana lodge prices and 2027 booking options before choosing a luxury package.
Some 2027 trips already have limited space. CNH Tours lists its April 6 to 19, 2027 Okavango trip as sold out. [7] That does not mean every April departure is full. It does show why early planning matters for fixed-date tours.
Use SafariFind to request quotes from verified operators, compare package prices, and read authentic reviews. Ask each operator to confirm current availability in writing. This step is especially useful when you need a specific lodge, camp, or travel date.
Maun tours and day trips focus on the Okavango Delta, Moremi game drives, mokoro outings, and river cruises. Short trips suit travelers with limited time. Multi-day tours suit visitors who want more time in the bush and less time moving between camps.
Okavango Delta packages work well for travelers who want water-based activities. A mokoro trip uses a traditional dugout canoe and follows shallow channels. River cruises offer another calm way to explore. Ask whether the package uses a shared or private boat, since that changes the feel of the trip.
A short Okavango itinerary may fit a stopover in Maun. However, a longer stay gives you more chances to join different activities. Check the start and end times carefully. A day trip may not include enough time for a full game drive and a water outing.
Moremi game drives suit travelers who want land-based wildlife viewing. A guide can explain the route, drive conditions, and daily timing. Ask how many people share the vehicle and whether the operator offers private departures.
Moremi trips may connect with wider Botswana routes. The Moremi balloon safari guide covers another way to plan an aerial experience. Balloon trips need separate checks for weather, departure time, age rules, and price.
Day trips are best for travelers with one free day in Maun. They reduce hotel changes and keep the plan simple. They also leave less time for remote areas, so set realistic expectations before booking.
Longer routes can combine Maun with the Kalahari Desert, Ghanzi, or Gcwihaba Caves. A route that includes these places may suit repeat visitors or travelers with two weeks available. Confirm road time before adding extra stops.
Travelers who want to add northern Botswana can review the Chobe National Park destination page. Those who prefer a route comparison can also read the guide to booking a Chobe safari in 2027.
Start by choosing your trip length, comfort level, and main activity. Then request two or three written quotes. A clear plan helps you compare like with like and reduces the risk of missing transfer costs, park fees, or meals.
Start with the dates. Fixed-date tours can sell out well before departure. The sold-out April 6 to 19, 2027 Okavango trip shows the risk of waiting. [7] Flexible travelers can ask operators about nearby dates or shorter trips.
Next, choose a budget. A selected multi-day package starts near $2,590 per person. A seven-day mid-range safari sits near $4,200 to $4,900. [1][2] Luxury travelers should prepare for more than $2,700 per person per day at some Moremi stays. [1]
Then, decide how you want to travel. A road-based trip may suit travelers who want a clear route and more ground time. A fly-in trip can reduce road transfers but may cost more. Your quote should name each transfer type.
Maun travel also needs a basic communications plan. Travelers can read this guide to Botswana SIM cards, eSIMs, Wi-Fi, and plugs before leaving home. For route planning, the guide to getting around Botswana by flights and roads gives useful planning context.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and real traveler feedback. Use that information to compare operators, ask direct questions, and choose a package that matches your dates. Keep the final quote, inclusions, and payment schedule together.

"Tongesai was awesome from the start. I knew he was a good tour operator because he answered all of my questions in a timely manner and no question was ever stupid. Everything was just as he said once we arrived and really it was better. We prepared for about a year in advance for this trip and the tour operator was instrumental and making this trip a success. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Give Tongesai a call or email, and you will 100% not be disappointed. I have a very deep understanding of border crossing and transportation challenges in many African countries at this point because of the efforts of the tour operator. This makes my wife and I have very comfortable to approach another visit or look at visiting a different African country."

"We went on a 3 day safari, and even though Tongesai did not lead it himself, I want to highly recommend his services. Our group consisted of just my family; my wife, children (9, 13, 14), and me. Tongesai acted as the agent, coordinating with the organization in Botswana that ran the actual tour. He met us several days in advance, and had informed us of some critical information (like make sure to bring birth certificates for the kids) well in advance. On the first day of the Safari, he came to pick us up, and drove us to the border, where he coordinated a smooth hand over to the Botswana organization. The guide from our safari was so good! ‘Cobra’ grew up in the bush, and if shows. He was frequently coordinating with, and showing other tour guides where to find the best big game sightings. We saw so many animals, including lions, hippos, tons of elephants and giraffes, and too many other animals to name. The meals were also great! Cobra and Tongesai had contracted with ‘chef K’ for catered breakfast, lunch and dinner at the camp. All meals were great. And the camp itself was organized above my expectations. Very nice tents, raised cots, plenty warm, tables, chairs and napkins at every meal! All in all, the experience was pretty unforgettable. It’s not a cheap experience, but based on our trip I can highly recommend Tongesai’s services!"
