Madagascar Safari Tours 2027 cost about $2,000 to $15,000 per person, based on route, group size, and trip style. Routes include Andasibe, Ranomafana, Isalo, Morondava, Tsingy de Bemaraha, and northern reserves. Published departures range from six to 16 days, with July, August, and November programs already listed. Compare verified operators on SafariFind before you book.
Madagascar Safari Tours 2027 give travelers a choice between low-cost road trips, private wildlife journeys, and high-end small-group expeditions. The island is large, so one route rarely covers every major park. A northern trip may focus on Amber Mountain and Ankarana. A central and eastern route may include Andasibe and Ranomafana. A southern route may add Isalo, Anja, and coastal stops.
The price gap is wide. A six-day Tsingy de Bemaraha group safari is listed at $3,409 per person, while a 13-day wildlife adventure starts at $17,295. [6] SafariFind also reports a 16-day November program priced at $10,599 or $11,849. [3] These figures show why route details matter as much as the headline price.
Quick answer: Madagascar safari tours in 2027 cost about $2,000 to $15,000 for many published programs, although specialist trips can cost more. Choose Andasibe for indri lemurs, Tsingy for limestone formations, or the south for parks and canyons. Compare transport, park visits, hotels, guides, and internal flights before choosing.
This guide explains what each route offers, how prices compare, and what to check before paying a deposit. It also points you toward Madagascar packages and verified tour operators listed through SafariFind.
Madagascar Safari Tours 2027 are guided trips that combine wildlife viewing with park visits, road travel, beach stays, and local experiences. These tours do not follow one standard route. Operators build journeys around a region, such as the east, south, west, or north of the island.
Andasibe-Mantadia, Morondava, Tsingy de Bemaraha, Ranomafana, and Isalo appear across Madagascar tour programs. Each place offers a different reason to travel. Andasibe is linked with indri lemurs. Morondava is known for baobabs. Tsingy has sharp limestone pinnacles. Ranomafana is linked with bamboo lemurs. Isalo has canyons and rock landscapes. [5]
Eastern routes often suit travelers who want rainforest walks and night wildlife searches. The [Andasibe-Mantadia National Park](https://safarifind.com/destinations/andasibe-mantadia-national-park) area is a strong match for visitors who want to build a shorter trip around lemur viewing. The separate [Andasibe I](https://safarifind.com/destinations/andasibe-i) destination can also fit a focused itinerary.
Southern routes usually take more time because roads connect several parks and towns. A route may include Ranomafana, Antsirabe, Isalo, and Anja Community Reserve. The [Ranomafana National Park](https://safarifind.com/destinations/ranomafana-national-park) page is useful for travelers comparing rainforest stops. The [Anja Community Reserve](https://safarifind.com/destinations/anja-community-reserve) page helps visitors assess a short lemur visit near the southern route.
Madagascar has long travel distances between major wildlife areas. A cheaper package may spend more time on roads. A higher-priced trip may include private transfers, better hotels, or internal flights. Ask for a day-by-day plan before comparing totals.
Known for: Madagascar is known for wildlife found nowhere else, including indri and bamboo lemurs. Best for: Madagascar is best for travelers who enjoy varied trips rather than repeated big-game drives. SafariFind connects travelers with verified operators, package details, and authentic traveler reviews.

Madagascar safari tours cost about $2,000 to $15,000 per person across the published 2027 range. A 10-day budget trip is listed at $2,000 to $2,800. A six-day Tsingy group safari costs $3,409. Premium wildlife and private trips rise well above $10,000.
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Budget Madagascar program | $2,000 to $2,800 | 10 days | Not published | Value-focused travelers |
| HT Agency Tsingy safari | $3,409 | 6 days | Not published | Small-group Tsingy visits |
| Audley Madagascar tour | From $6,550 | 11 days | Not published | Tailor-made travel |
| SafariFind November program | $10,599 or $11,849 | 16 days | Not published | Longer island circuits |
| San Diego Zoo wildlife adventure | From $17,295 | 13 days | Not published | Small-group wildlife travel |
HT Agency Tours lists its six-day Tsingy de Bemaraha small-group safari at $3,409 per person. The trip has 12 places and requires a 30 percent deposit. [6] Audley Travel lists an 11-day Madagascar tour from $6,550 per person. [4]
The San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance lists a 13-day trip from July 22 to August 3, 2027. The price starts at $17,295, and the program is limited to 10 travelers. [1] Natural Habitat Adventures lists a June 1 to 13 trip at $16,795, with internal air and air costs extra. Its page also states that no 2027 departures were available under its selected filters. [7]
Compare the same cost items on every quote. Check lodging, meals, park fees, local guides, road transfers, domestic flights, boat trips, and airport transfers. A low price can change when you add single supplements or extra transport.
Request quotes from verified Madagascar operators and compare tour inclusions when prices look similar but routes differ.
The best Madagascar route depends on your main interest, available days, and tolerance for long road transfers. Choose Andasibe for indri lemurs, the west for baobabs and Tsingy, the south for parks and canyons, or the north for waterfalls, beaches, and night wildlife searches.
Andasibe and Ranomafana work well for travelers who want rainforest habitats. A focused five-day plan can center on Andasibe, while a longer program can continue toward the southern parks. Read this guide to [5-day Andasibe itinerary costs for 2027](https://safarifind.com/blog/5-day-andasibe-itinerary-2027-safari-cost) before comparing short tours.
Antsirabe often works as a stop between central and southern areas. Travelers can then continue toward Ranomafana, Isalo, or Anja Community Reserve. This route suits visitors who want walking, forests, and several types of lemur habitat.
Morondava and Tsingy de Bemaraha suit travelers who want landscapes as well as wildlife. TourRadar lists Morondava’s baobabs and Tsingy’s limestone pinnacles among common Madagascar tour highlights. [5] Tsingy trips can cost more because road access takes time and the route requires careful planning.
Northern itineraries can combine Amber Mountain, Ankarana, beaches, and marine activities. Audley Travel describes waterfall walks in Amber Mountain and night searches in Ankarana for sportive lemurs and chameleons. It also lists snorkeling or kayaking opportunities for turtles and dolphins. [4]
Travelers who want northern day trips can compare [Antsiranana tour routes and prices for 2027](https://safarifind.com/blog/antsiranana-day-tours-2027-prices-routes-and-booking). Beach-focused plans may add [Nosy Komba](https://safarifind.com/destinations/nosy-komba), [Nosy Sakatia](https://safarifind.com/destinations/nosy-sakatia), or [Nosy Iranja](https://safarifind.com/destinations/nosy-iranja).
Southern trips often combine wildlife with canyon walks and coastal stays. Compare [Isalo lodge rates for 2027](https://safarifind.com/blog/isalo-national-park-lodges-2027-rates-and-booking-tips) if accommodation matters to your budget. Visitors who want marine time can also review [Ifaty snorkeling packages](https://safarifind.com/blog/ifaty-snorkeling-packages-2027-prices-and-inclusions).
Start by choosing one route instead of trying to cover the whole island. Then compare the number of park nights, road days, flights, and guided walks. A clear route makes it easier to spot missing costs and judge whether a package offers good value.
Road Scholar programs begin with the first night in Johannesburg, South Africa. The listed hotel is a five-minute walk from the international terminal, so the program does not require a vehicle transfer that night. [2] This detail matters if your chosen operator uses a regional connection before Madagascar.
Read reviews beside the itinerary, not after it. A high review score matters more when the operator also explains guides, vehicles, hotels, and payment rules. SafariFind lists verified tour operators and authentic reviews so travelers can compare the service behind each package.
Check whether the itinerary includes [Lokobe National Park](https://safarifind.com/destinations/lokobe-excursion), [Nosy Tanikely Marine Reserve](https://safarifind.com/destinations/nosy-tanikely), or other places that match your interests. Beach add-ons can change the length and price of an otherwise land-based safari.
Do not assume that a published price covers every flight. Natural Habitat Adventures states that internal air and air costs are additional on its listed program. [7] Ask each operator to mark every included and excluded item in writing.
As of October 2026, several 2027 programs already show fixed dates and limited spaces. The San Diego Zoo trip has 10 traveler places. HT Agency Tours lists 12 places for its Tsingy departure. [1][6] Fixed-date small-group trips need earlier planning than flexible private tours.
Keep a second route in mind. If your first choice has no 2027 space, compare a similar park combination rather than accepting a large price jump without checking inclusions.
Madagascar safari tours cost about $2,000 to $15,000 per person across published 2027 programs. Budget trips can cost $2,000 to $2,800 for 10 days, while specialist wildlife trips can exceed $16,000.
Andasibe and Ranomafana are strong choices for lemur-focused travel. Andasibe is linked with indri lemurs, while Ranomafana is linked with bamboo lemurs in published tour descriptions. Route length and road time vary by operator.
You need at least six days for a focused route, while broader Madagascar safari tours often last 10 to 16 days. A longer trip allows more parks, but it also adds road transfers, hotels, and possible internal flights.
Tsingy de Bemaraha appears in Madagascar tour itineraries and has a published six-day small-group safari priced at $3,409 per person. The program lists 12 places and requires a 30 percent deposit.
Flights are not always included in Madagascar safari prices. Natural Habitat Adventures states that internal air and air costs are additional on its listed program. Ask for a written list of included flights before booking.

Madagascar safari tours in 2027 range from focused six-day group trips to 16-day island programs and specialist wildlife journeys. A budget traveler can start near $2,000 for a 10-day program. A traveler seeking a premium small-group experience may pay $17,295 for a 13-day departure. [1][3]
Choose Andasibe and Ranomafana for forest wildlife. Choose Morondava and Tsingy for baobabs and limestone formations. Choose the north for waterfalls, beaches, and marine activities. Then compare hotels, guides, road time, park fees, and internal flights before choosing a package.

"From start to finish, this tour was an unforgettable experience. When enquiring about planning this trip ,Tony was very responsive, informative and. answered all our questions as we went along .When my suitcase didn't arrive in Madagascar Tony sorted it for me and negotiated with the airline on my behalf, going above and beyond and was very much appreciated Our guides were all knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual and clearly passionate about what they do, which made the whole trip both fun and informative. The itinerary was perfectly balanced — we saw all the major highlights without ever feeling rushed, and there were plenty of opportunities to take photos, ask questions, and just soak up the atmosphere. The transportation was comfortable, everything ran smoothly and on time, and as it was a private tour we were able to spend as little or as much time at each place as we chose. Every stop had something unique to offer, and the insider stories and local tips really brought the culture to life. It’s rare to find a tour that gets every detail right, but this one truly did, guides were on time , transfers were smooth, everything was flexible to our wishes. Hugh thanks to Tony, Sidney, Princee and Nico. The drivers were all awesome and we always felt safe despite some roads been very African massage- bumpy ! We left with amazing memories, beautiful photos, and a much deeper appreciation for the country. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat!"

"We have recently finished a 10 day tour of Madagascar in April 2025 using the operator “Madagascar Natural Tours” from start to finish it almost felt too good to be true, I have never met any one else from Australia who has been to Madagascar so we were very hesitant in whether it would be safe and had no idea how to organise a holiday there or what to expect. Harilala was extremely professional and communicative the entire way and answered every single (too many) questions of ours and made us feel comfortable and excited. He planned our itinerary just perfectly we listed a couple of things we had wanted to see - baobab avenue, lemurs and Nosy Be. He organised our whole itinerary, accomodation and flights for us so that it flowed seamlessly. He provided options in accomodation as we were seeking honeymoon style resorts. The hotels that he booked were beautiful, clean, great food and lovely staff! We had a few internal flights in our itinerary and it was so nice stepping off the plane and trusting that there would be a guide there waiting for us to get us to our hotel. The few times during our stay we had a question regarding our tour, Harilala would reply to our messages almost immediately and paid very careful attention to ensure we were happy and getting the most out of our tour. Using Madagascar Natural Tours took all stress out of the holiday / planning and allowed us to just show up and make memories of a lifetime! I would highly recommend this company to anybody curious to explore Madagascar! Particularly if you do not speak French, we struggled with the language barrier however all guides had amazing English which was such a relief. We can’t wait to come back in a few years time!!"

Besides the wonderful tour, Solo and Fidele, our tour leaders, made the difference. We spent 20 days in Madagascar, and they flew by; everything was fantastic. We'll definitely be back to see the southernmost part of the country."
