Luangwa Valley night drive packages in 2027 cost about US$5,912 to US$7,610 per person for an eight-night stay, with some seven-night examples near US$5,957 and US$7,296. South Luangwa is known for night game drives, walking safaris, and strong big-cat viewing. Compare verified operators early, because 2027 departures and camp space are limited.
US$7,610 is the top published 2027 package rate in one eight-night Luangwa Valley offer. That price makes night-drive planning worth a close look before you book. [1]
Luangwa Valley Night Drive Packages 2027: Prices and Booking is a guide to costs, timing, camp choices, and booking steps. The focus is South Luangwa and nearby Luangwa Valley routes in Zambia. It also explains how a night drive changes the safari day.
South Luangwa gives you a different view after sunset. Guides use a spotlight to search for nocturnal animals and predators. Many camps also combine night drives with walking safaris, so you can spend less time in a vehicle. [3][5]
The main prices in this guide come from published 2027 package examples. They do not represent one fixed market rate. A private trip, camp level, flight plan, and season can change the final quote.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic traveler reviews. You can compare packages, ask questions about inclusions, and request a quote that matches your dates. Read the package details carefully. A low headline price may not include every transfer or flight.
Quick answer: A Luangwa Valley night drive package in 2027 costs about US$5,912 to US$7,610 per person for eight nights. Audley lists an eight-day South Luangwa night-safari itinerary from US$6,910 per person. Choose a published April to October departure, then confirm flights, camp level, park fees, and night-drive access before booking. [1][3][7]
Luangwa Valley night drive packages are multi-night safari trips that include evening wildlife drives in South Luangwa or nearby Luangwa Valley camps. The published 2027 examples last seven or eight nights. They often combine camp stays, guided game drives, transfers, and return travel. [1][2]
South Luangwa is the core destination for these trips. Audley describes an eight-day South Luangwa night-safari itinerary from US$6,910 per person. The itinerary is built around the rare chance to search for big cats after dark. [3]
Several South Luangwa camps offer both night drives and walking safaris. That mix matters because the two activities feel very different. A vehicle lets you cover more ground. A walking guide slows the day down and brings attention to tracks, calls, and small signs. [5]
Known for: South Luangwa is known for night drives, walking safaris, and guided wildlife viewing. The experience is a strong fit for travelers who want more than daytime game drives. [3][5]
The Royal Zambezi and Lion Camp collaboration lists an eight-night package from US$5,423 per person. The same page shows 2027 rates of US$5,912, US$6,884, and US$7,610, with a “Stay 8, Pay 6” offer shown. Read the terms before treating the offer as a final price. [1]
Why it matters: night drives open a different part of the wildlife day. You may search for predators, nocturnal animals, and movement that you would miss at noon. The value depends on how much time your package gives you in the park, not only on its number of nights.

Luangwa Valley night drive packages cost about US$5,912 to US$7,610 per person for the published eight-night 2027 rates. Seven-night SafariFind examples sit near US$5,957 and US$7,296. Audley lists an eight-day option from US$6,910 per person. [1][2][3]
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best for |

| Audley South Luangwa night safari | From US$6,910 | 8 days | Not published | Travelers seeking a tailor-made itinerary [3] |
| Trailfinders South Luangwa guide prices | £2,599, £5,299, and £5,935 | Varies | Not published | Travelers comparing guide prices and camp styles [5] |
Trailfinders lists South Luangwa guide prices of £2,599, £5,299, and £5,935 per person. Its guide also says several camps offer night drives and walking safaris. These figures help show the wide gap between basic and higher-end planning. [5]
A four-night South Luangwa safari for two, including flights from Lusaka, typically costs US$4,000 to US$16,000. The camp tier drives much of that difference. A broader Zambia trip that adds Victoria Falls or the Lower Zambezi can cost US$8,000 to US$28,000 for two. [6]
Price range: plan around US$6,000 to US$7,600 per person for the published eight-night examples. Treat that as a planning guide, not a promise. Ask whether the quote includes airport transfers, domestic flights, park fees, meals, drinks, walking activities, and night-drive permits.
Compare 2027 Luangwa Valley safari prices and request a quote from verified operators.
For wider budgeting, read the guide to Zambia safari costs in 2027. It can help you place a Luangwa night drive beside a longer national itinerary.
Book a 2027 Luangwa night drive after choosing your travel window and camp level. Published Zambezi and Luangwa departures run from April 24 through October 20, 2027. The listed dates include April 24 to May 5, May 19 to May 30, July 20 to July 31, August 26 to September 6, and October 9 to October 20. [7]
These departure dates give you a useful starting point. April and May dates suit travelers who want an earlier dry-season itinerary. July through October dates give you more choices in the published group schedule. The right date still depends on camp openings, flight plans, and your preferred pace.
Dates matter because night drives are not an automatic feature at every property. Ask the operator where the night drives happen, how many are included, and whether the activity starts from your camp. Do not assume that a nearby camp shares the same access rules.
Audley lists an eight-day night-safari route from US$6,910 per person. Trailfinders also confirms that several camps offer night drives and walking safaris. These listings show why you should check the activity plan, not just the destination name. [3][5]
Getting there: many Zambia safari plans connect through Lusaka, then use a local transfer or flight toward the Luangwa area. If your itinerary starts near Livingstone, the route may connect with Victoria Falls or a wider Zambezi journey. Confirm every flight segment in writing.
The best booking question is simple: “How many nights drives are included?” A package can mention night drives without promising one every evening. Weather, guide schedules, park rules, and vehicle space can affect the final activity plan.
Compare operators by reading authentic reviews on SafariFind. Look for comments about guide skill, transfer timing, camp service, vehicle comfort, and how clearly the company explained costs. A high price is easier to accept when the inclusions are clear.
You can also compare a shorter route with the 7-day Zambia safari itinerary for 2027. That guide is useful when you have less leave time or want to add another stop.
Start by fixing your dates, budget, and preferred camp level. Then request two or three written quotes that list night drives, park fees, flights, meals, transfers, and guide services. SafariFind helps you compare verified tour operators and traveler reviews before you choose.
Request a quote that names each camp. “South Luangwa” is not enough detail for a fair comparison. Different camps can have different drive times, room types, vehicle rules, meal plans, and activity schedules.
Night drives reward patience. The guide may stop for several minutes after hearing a call or seeing eye shine. That pause is part of the activity. A rushed drive can cover ground, but it may miss the small details that make night viewing special.
Practical tip: compare the number of included activities, not only the number of nights. An eight-night package with two night drives may suit you less than a seven-night package with a stronger daily plan.
SafariFind lets you ask operators for a quote that matches your exact dates. Use that step to confirm whether the published rate is available in 2027, whether the “Stay 8, Pay 6” offer applies, and what you must pay separately.
For a route that adds Livingstone, review Livingstone safari packages for 2027. For another Luangwa option, compare Luambe National Park package prices and fees.
Luangwa Valley night drive packages cost about US$5,912 to US$7,610 per person for the published eight-night 2027 rates. Seven-day examples include about US$5,957 and US$7,296. Audley lists an eight-day South Luangwa option from US$6,910 per person. [1][2][3]
Seven or eight nights is the main planning range for the published Luangwa Valley examples. Seven nights can suit a shorter trip. Eight nights gives you more time for day drives, night drives, walking activities, and travel between camps.
Published 2027 Zambezi and Luangwa departures run from April 24 to October 20. Listed dates include April, May, July, August, September, and October travel windows. Confirm availability with the operator before booking. [7]
Night drives are not included in every package by default. Several South Luangwa camps offer night drives and walking safaris, but your quote should state the activity count and starting camp. Ask about park access, vehicle sharing, and guide schedules. [5]
Some South Luangwa safari packages include flights from Lusaka, while others quote flights separately. A four-night safari for two with flights from Lusaka is typically listed at US$4,000 to US$16,000, depending on camp tier. Confirm every flight and transfer in your written quote. [6]
Use SafariFind to compare verified operators, package prices, and authentic traveler reviews. Request a quote for your dates, then confirm night drives, camp level, flights, park costs, and cancellation terms before you pay.
Luangwa Valley night drive packages in 2027 cost about US$5,912 to US$7,610 per person for the main eight-night examples. A US$6,910 eight-day South Luangwa itinerary gives you a useful comparison point. A seven-night plan may work better if you want a shorter trip, while eight nights gives you more room for walking and night activities. [1][2][3]
Start with a published April to October departure, then ask for a quote that names every inclusion. Check flights from Lusaka, camp tier, park fees, vehicle sharing, and the exact number of night drives. Those details matter more than a low headline rate.

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"Tongesai was awesome from the start. I knew he was a good tour operator because he answered all of my questions in a timely manner and no question was ever stupid. Everything was just as he said once we arrived and really it was better. We prepared for about a year in advance for this trip and the tour operator was instrumental and making this trip a success. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Give Tongesai a call or email, and you will 100% not be disappointed. I have a very deep understanding of border crossing and transportation challenges in many African countries at this point because of the efforts of the tour operator. This makes my wife and I have very comfortable to approach another visit or look at visiting a different African country."
