Madagascar has no documented native black rhino population, and black rhinos are not among the island’s current wild mammals. Conservation in Madagascar instead focuses on endemic species, forests and community-led protection, while black rhino recovery remains an African conservation priority.

Livingstone Zambia safari packages for 2027 connect one of Africa’s best-known waterfall areas with wildlife trips across southern Africa. Livingstone sits beside the Zambezi River and gives travelers access to Victoria Falls, Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, and longer routes into Zambia, Botswana, and South Africa.
Prices differ because itineraries use different hotel grades, transport, park areas, and group sizes. A short tour may focus on one park and one waterfall visit. A luxury route may add private guides, cross-border travel, and a stay in the Okavango Delta.
Quick answer: Livingstone safari packages in 2027 start at US$204 for a one-day tour with an extra US$80 in local payments. Longer options include a US$959 Victoria Falls-to-Cape Town overland trip and a US$24,542 luxury Botswana itinerary. Compare inclusions before you book.

Livingstone Zambia safari packages are guided trips that start in Livingstone and combine waterfall visits with wildlife viewing. The shortest listed option lasts one day. The longest listed luxury option lasts 12 days and covers Botswana and Victoria Falls. [1][2]
Livingstone is the main starting point for visitors exploring Zambia and Victoria Falls. Packages may stay local or travel farther into national parks and neighboring countries. The route determines the pace, price, and number of activities.
Victoria Falls is the main landmark for many Livingstone trips. Some itineraries also list Kasane and Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park. The January 2027 one-day tour includes all three destinations and starts at US$204 after a 3% discount. It also lists US$80 in local payments. [1]
Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park gives short-stay travelers a way to add wildlife viewing without committing to a week-long safari. The cited one-day package suits travelers who want a compact experience near Livingstone. It also works well as an add-on before or after a waterfall visit.
Known for: Livingstone packages are known for combining Victoria Falls with wildlife, river landscapes, and regional overland routes. Best for: couples, families, first-time safari visitors, and travelers who want a clear starting point near a major attraction.

Livingstone Zambia safari packages cost between US$204 and US$24,542 per person in the listed 2027 research. The lowest price covers one day, while the highest price covers 12 days of luxury travel across Botswana and Victoria Falls. Package length, comfort level, and included activities drive the gap. [1][2]
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kasane, Livingstone and Mosi-Oa-Tunya tour | US$204 + US$80 local payments | 1 day | 3.0/5 from 1 review | Short trips and waterfall add-ons |
| Victoria Falls to Cape Town Overland Safari | US$959, reduced from US$1,499 | Not stated | 4.6 | Budget overland travel |
| Zambia-Livingstone-Victoria Falls Safari | US$1,690 sharing, reduced from US$2,100 | Not stated | Not stated | Regional Zambia and falls route |
| South Luangwa Safari from Livingstone | R46,167 sharing | 5 days | Not stated | Dedicated wildlife safari |
| Luxury Botswana and Victoria Falls Safari | US$24,542 | 12 days | Not stated | Private luxury and multi-country travel |
Local payments matter when you compare the cheapest tour. The one-day package shows US$204 after a 3% discount, plus US$80 in local payments. Therefore, the advertised starting figure is not the full trip cost. Ask the operator for a written list of park fees, transfers, meals, and activities. [1]
Luxury services also change the total. The 12-day itinerary includes private guides, a Mokoro experience in the Okavango Delta, and wildlife viewing for elephants and zebra. These features help explain why its price is much higher than a day tour. [2]
Discounts can make similar routes look different. The Victoria Falls-to-Cape Town trip is listed at US$959 instead of US$1,499. The Zambia-Livingstone-Victoria Falls option is listed at US$1,690 instead of US$2,100. Check whether the discount applies to your exact date. [4][5]
SafariFind lets you Request quotes from verified Livingstone safari operators when you need a clear total price, room type, and payment schedule.
The best Livingstone route depends on your available time and main goal. Choose a one-day trip for a quick park and waterfall experience, a five-day South Luangwa route for focused wildlife viewing, or a 12-day luxury circuit for private guiding and Botswana’s Okavango Delta. [1][2][3]
The one-day Kasane, Livingstone, and Mosi-Oa-Tunya tour is the simplest choice for a short stay. The listed departures leave on January 1 and January 2, 2027, with 10 spaces shown for each date at the time of research. Availability can change, so confirm before paying. [1]
Short trips work well for travelers with limited leave, families who prefer a lighter schedule, and visitors adding a safari to a larger Southern Africa holiday. Read the full guide to Livingstone activities and tour prices for 2027 before selecting extra experiences.
South Luangwa is the stronger choice for travelers who want several safari days. The listed five-day trip starts from Livingstone and costs R46,167 per person sharing. Confirm the currency, inclusions, transfer plan, and departure date because the listing notes that dates may need checking with the operator. [3]
A longer wildlife route also gives you more time for game drives and a slower daily pace. Travelers who want a full day-by-day plan can read the 7-day South Luangwa itinerary guide. You can then compare that plan with shorter Livingstone departures.
The 12-day luxury Botswana itinerary is best for travelers who value private guiding and a full regional journey. It includes Victoria Falls, the Okavango Delta, a Mokoro experience, and wildlife viewing that features elephants and zebra. Its listed price is US$24,542 from Livingstone. [2]
Kafue National Park adds another possible Zambia theme for travelers seeking a larger protected area. Kafue covers 5.5 million acres and ranks among Africa’s largest and oldest protected regions. [6] Read about Zambia’s wildlife corridors and habitats to understand how different landscapes shape safari routes.
Book a Livingstone safari by setting your dates, choosing a route, checking every inclusion, and confirming availability in writing. January 1 and January 2, 2027 have listed one-day departures, but the source showed only 10 spaces on each date during the research check. [1]
Start with the number of days you can spend in Zambia. A one-day package gives you a fast introduction. A five-day trip gives more time for wildlife. A 12-day luxury route creates a wider regional journey but needs a larger budget.
Next, decide whether Victoria Falls is the main goal. If so, keep the route near Livingstone. If wildlife matters more, compare South Luangwa and longer Zambia circuits. You can also review South Luangwa safari packages for 2027 before you choose.
Ask five questions before you pay:
The one-day listing separates its US$80 local payment from the US$204 advertised price. The South Luangwa listing uses a per-person-sharing rate. These examples show why you should compare like with like. [1][3]
Choose an operator that provides a clear itinerary and full contact details. SafariFind helps travelers compare verified tour operators and read authentic reviews from previous guests. Look for reviews that discuss guide quality, timing, transfers, lodging, and communication.
Also compare safari lodges before selecting a luxury route. The Zambia safari lodge guide for 2027 can help you understand the difference between basic, mid-range, and luxury stays.
Request a final quote in writing. The quote should show the trip price, currency, deposit, balance date, cancellation terms, and included services. Save the operator’s confirmation and check your passport, travel insurance, and cross-border requirements.
Getting there: Most Livingstone itineraries use Livingstone as the arrival base. Confirm airport transfers to and from Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport before booking. Travelers adding a wider Zambia route can also review options connected with Lusaka.
Practical planning protects your time and budget. Check departure dates, local payments, border crossings, luggage rules, and transfer times before booking. A clear plan matters most when your itinerary links Livingstone with Botswana, South Luangwa, Cape Town, or another distant destination.
One day suits a short stop. Five days suit travelers who want a deeper wildlife focus. Twelve days suit travelers who want a luxury circuit with private guides and several regions. Do not choose a long route only because it offers more places; make sure its travel pace suits you.
Families should ask about age rules, vehicle space, and meal timing. The one-day listing accepts all ages. Other packages may use different rules, so confirm them with the operator before you pay. [1]
Use the listed price as a starting point, not the whole budget. Add flights, insurance, tips, drinks, visa costs, and personal spending when needed. For the one-day package, include the separate US$80 local payment in your planning. [1]
Currency also matters. One package uses South African rand, while other listings use US dollars. Ask whether the operator locks the exchange rate at booking or charges the balance in another currency. This simple question can prevent a surprise later. [3]
Known for: Livingstone routes are known for Victoria Falls access and flexible add-on options. Best for: short waterfall stays, first-time safari travelers, and regional overland trips. A private luxury route is better for travelers who want more control over pace and guiding.
Read the guide to Victoria Falls Zambia packages for 2027 if the waterfall is your main reason for visiting. Travelers interested in lakes and slower nature trips can explore Zambia lake and safari holiday ideas.
Follow your guide’s instructions around wildlife and water. Keep a safe distance from animals. Avoid loud music and do not leave waste behind. Ask how the operator supports local guides, communities, and conservation work.
These habits improve the trip for you and other guests. They also help protect the landscapes that make Livingstone, Victoria Falls, and Zambia worth visiting in 2027.

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"Tongesai was awesome from the start. I knew he was a good tour operator because he answered all of my questions in a timely manner and no question was ever stupid. Everything was just as he said once we arrived and really it was better. We prepared for about a year in advance for this trip and the tour operator was instrumental and making this trip a success. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Give Tongesai a call or email, and you will 100% not be disappointed. I have a very deep understanding of border crossing and transportation challenges in many African countries at this point because of the efforts of the tour operator. This makes my wife and I have very comfortable to approach another visit or look at visiting a different African country."
