Livingstone safari packages in 2027 cost about $50 to $200 per person for selected day trips, while longer safaris range from $435 for a Zambezi Canoe Safari to $2,880 for a six-day Delta and Falls itinerary [2]. Livingstone is best for Victoria Falls, Zambezi River trips, and short wildlife tours. July, October, November, and December already have listed 2027 travel options [1][3].
Livingstone safari packages in 2027 give travelers a simple way to pair Victoria Falls with wildlife and river trips.
Livingstone is in southern Zambia, close to the Zambezi River and Victoria Falls. The town works well as a short stop or as the start of a longer route. You can book a one-day experience, add a canoe trip, or spend several nights before continuing into a national park.
Quick answer: Livingstone safari packages cost $50 to $200 per person for selected short tours in 2027. Longer options include a $435 Zambezi Canoe Safari and a six-day Delta and Falls itinerary from $2,880 [2]. Private one-day memorial tours cost an estimated $150 to $300 per person [6].
This guide explains the main package types, current price examples, travel dates, and booking points. It also shows where Livingstone fits into a wider Zambia safari. Prices are planning figures, not fixed quotes, so check the final inclusions before you pay.
Livingstone safari packages in 2027 are tours based in or around Livingstone, Zambia. They range from short day trips to multi-day journeys that connect Victoria Falls with the Zambezi, the Okavango region, and other safari areas. The best choice depends on your time, budget, and interest in wildlife or culture.
Livingstone is known for easy access to Victoria Falls, river cruises, canoe trips, and short cultural tours. It is also a useful starting point for travelers who want to combine a waterfall visit with a wider southern Africa itinerary.
Victoria Falls is the main draw for many visitors. The town lets you plan a focused two or three-night stop, then continue to another destination. Travelers who want more wildlife can use Livingstone as the first or last part of a longer Zambia or regional safari.
Known for: Victoria Falls access, Zambezi River activities, short guided tours, and links to longer safari routes.
Livingstone safari packages vary in length and comfort. Short tours may include transport, a guide, and entrance fees. Longer packages can add lodging, meals, internal transfers, game drives, and activities in several regions.
Livingstone matters because it gives you several trip styles in one place. You can keep the plan short and active, or use the town as part of a much longer safari. Travelers who want a different Zambia route can compare the Kafue National Park five-day itinerary before deciding.
Compare 2027 Livingstone safari packages and prices on SafariFind before choosing a route, operator, or room type.
Best for: travelers who want Victoria Falls without committing to a long safari. Families can choose a longer package with planned transfers. Couples may prefer a private river or Falls itinerary. First-time visitors can start with a day trip and add more activities later.
Livingstone is also useful for travelers with limited vacation time. A one-day tour can fit into a larger Zambia trip. A six-day itinerary gives you more time for river travel, wildlife, and lodge stays. The right length depends on how much time you want away from the town.
Livingstone safari packages cost $50 to $200 per person for selected day trips, wildlife safaris, and cultural tours in 2027 [2]. Longer trips start at $435 for a Zambezi Canoe Safari and reach $2,880 for a six-day Delta and Falls itinerary [2]. Luxury packages can cost $24,542 for 12 days [2].
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Selected Livingstone day trips | $50 to $200 per person | One day | Not listed | Short visits and budget planning |
| Private Livingstone Memorial Experience | $150 to $300 per person | One day | Not listed | History and private guiding |
| Zambezi Canoe Safari | From $435 | Multi-day | Not listed | River travel and active trips |
| Delta and Falls itinerary | From $2,880 | Six days | Not listed | Combined safari and Victoria Falls trips |
| Luxury Livingstone safari | Up to $24,542 | 12 days | Not listed | Private luxury journeys |
Package price depends on the number of nights, room type, transport, meals, and activities. A private vehicle usually costs more than a shared trip. Entrance fees and transfers also matter, especially when the package covers more than one destination.
The private Livingstone Memorial Experience is estimated at $150 to $300 per person. That estimate includes transport, a guide, and entrance fees, but the final figure can change with meals, vehicle choice, and extra activities [6].
Go2Africa states that its displayed rates are generally per person sharing unless noted. Its rates are guide prices, depend on availability, may change without notice, and may include a single supplement [3]. Read the terms carefully when comparing a shared rate with a private quote.
These figures help you set a starting budget, but they do not replace a quote. SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, so you can compare inclusions and read authentic reviews before booking.
Compare Victoria Falls activity costs, including Devil's Pool packages when you build a Livingstone budget around waterfall experiences.
Adding Victoria Falls to an East Africa safari can add $2,500 to $4,500 per person and at least two extra travel days, according to one travel-planning source [5]. That cost comes from extra flights, transfers, nights, and time between regions.
Go2Africa lists a 10-day Family Livingstone, Linyanti and Delta itinerary for October 1 to November 30, 2027, and December 1 to 31, 2027 [3]. This option shows how quickly costs and planning needs grow when you add several regions.
A Livingstone day trip needs a clear meeting point, transport plan, guide, activity list, and return time. Start by choosing one main goal. A Falls visit, memorial tour, river activity, and wildlife drive may not fit well into one short day.
Getting there: Most visitors should plan their arrival around Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport. Confirm the transfer distance and pick-up time with the operator. Ask whether airport transport, hotel transfers, and entrance fees appear in the quoted price.
Livingstone is also a good place to begin a wider route through Zambia. Travelers who want a national park focus can compare Luambe National Park safari packages or plan a longer Kafue trip after visiting the Falls.
A memorial tour suits travelers interested in history and local context. The private one-day Livingstone Memorial Experience includes transport, a guide, and entrance fees in its estimated price [6]. A river or canoe activity suits travelers who want time outdoors and a more active day.
Victoria Falls suits travelers who want the classic Livingstone experience. Check the season, water levels, walking time, and weather before you book. The exact activity plan should match your fitness level and available daylight.
Ask whether the operator uses a private or shared vehicle. Confirm the group size and guide language. Ask about meals, drinking water, travel insurance, and cancellation terms. These details can change the value of a low headline price.
Request the exact 2027 date in writing. Go2Africa warns that guide rates depend on availability and may change without notice [3]. The same rule makes early quote requests useful for popular dates and private rooms.
One day works for a focused tour. Two or three nights give you more room for Victoria Falls, a river activity, and a slower travel pace. Six days suits travelers who want a combined Delta and Falls itinerary from $2,880 [2].
Roads Scholar lists a Livingstone stop on July 27, 2027, with accommodation at David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa [1]. Go2Africa lists October, November, and December 2027 dates for its 10-day family itinerary [3]. These examples show why you should match dates before choosing a package.
Check the full itinerary, operator details, payment terms, and included fees before booking. A low starting price may cover only the activity, while a higher quote may include transport, meals, lodging, and park access.
Travelers should compare like with like. Ask each operator for the same trip length, room level, vehicle type, and meal plan. Then compare the total price, not only the advertised starting rate.
SafariFind listings help you compare verified operators and traveler feedback in one place. Read authentic reviews, request a quote, and check the package page before making a decision.
Livingstone works best when Victoria Falls is central to your trip. Other Zambia destinations suit travelers who want more time in remote wildlife areas or wetlands. For example, you can compare a Busanga Plains balloon safari with a Livingstone river tour.
Travelers focused on remote wetlands can also review Bangweulu Wetlands safari costs. A Livingstone trip usually offers easier access and more short-tour choices. A remote park needs more travel time and careful route planning.
Livingstone safari packages cost $50 to $200 per person for selected day trips, wildlife safaris, and cultural tours in 2027 [2]. Longer trips start at $435, while a six-day Delta and Falls itinerary starts at $2,880 [2].
Selected Livingstone day trips start at about $50 per person in 2027 [2]. The final price depends on the activity, transport, guide, entrance fees, meals, and group size. Ask for a full quote before booking.
A private one-day Livingstone Memorial Experience costs an estimated $150 to $300 per person [6]. The estimate includes transport, a guide, and entrance fees. Meals and extra activities may change the final price.
A Livingstone safari can take one day for a focused tour, or six to 12 days for a wider itinerary. A listed Delta and Falls example lasts six days, while premium packages can last 12 days [2].
Listed 2027 travel dates include July 27, October 1 to November 30, and December 1 to 31 [1][3]. Confirm availability with the operator because guide rates and space can change.

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"Tongesai was awesome from the start. I knew he was a good tour operator because he answered all of my questions in a timely manner and no question was ever stupid. Everything was just as he said once we arrived and really it was better. We prepared for about a year in advance for this trip and the tour operator was instrumental and making this trip a success. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Give Tongesai a call or email, and you will 100% not be disappointed. I have a very deep understanding of border crossing and transportation challenges in many African countries at this point because of the efforts of the tour operator. This makes my wife and I have very comfortable to approach another visit or look at visiting a different African country."
