A 7-day Lake Kariba safari can cost as much as US$8,023 per person, while shorter package listings start near US$1,546. This guide explains Lake Kariba beach packages for 2027, what the prices include, how land and water activities fit together, and how to plan a smooth trip through Zimbabwe and Zambia.
Lake Kariba beach packages for 7-day trips in 2027 start from US$8,023 per person for an active safari that combines Lake Kariba, Mana Pools National Park, wildlife viewing, water activities, and Victoria Falls. A complete Lake Kariba package is also listed from US$3,160 per person. The clearest supplied travel window is 1 January to 31 March 2027, but availability and prices require confirmation before booking.
Lake Kariba beach packages for 2027 combine lakeside time with a safari in southern Africa. The strongest 7-day listing includes the shores of Lake Kariba, game drives in Mana Pools National Park, water activities, wildlife viewing, and a beach fire experience [1]. This is more than a hotel stay beside the water.
Lake Kariba is a large travel base for Zimbabwe-focused safari holidays. Trips may connect the lake with Mana Pools, Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park, or nearby airports. The right choice depends on your budget, activity level, accommodation style, and need for private transport.
Quick answer: A 7-day Lake Kariba safari package costs from US$8,023 per person in the supplied 2027-ready listing. A complete Lake Kariba package starts from US$3,160 per person, excluding international flights. The supplied travel period beginning 1 January and ending 31 March 2027 gives planners a clear starting point [1][3][8].
Prices are not fixed across every operator. One accommodation listing shows US$204 nightly, with a displayed total of US$236 per night. Another Kariba and Matusadona National Park package shows US$1,546 per adult [2]. These figures may represent different trip lengths and inclusions, so compare the full itinerary rather than the headline price.

Lake Kariba beach packages for 2027 are multi-day trips that use the lakeshore as a base for relaxation, wildlife viewing, and outdoor activities. The main 7-day active itinerary combines Lake Kariba with Mana Pools National Park and Victoria Falls. It includes both land and water activities, plus a beach fire experience [1].
Lake Kariba packages are built around two travel styles. The first is a complete safari journey, with transfers, guided wildlife activities, and several destinations. The second is a lakeside stay, where you book accommodation and add selected activities or a nearby national park visit.
Mana Pools National Park gives the 7-day itinerary its main land-safari focus. The supplied listing specifically describes game drives in the park and travel along the Zambezi River. Lake Kariba then adds a slower water setting, which creates a useful contrast with daily game drives [1].
Lake Kariba matters because it lets you combine a beach-style break with a classic African safari. You can spend part of the trip on the water, then switch to a game drive or guided wildlife activity. This format suits travelers who want variety without booking separate holidays.
The package also matters for planning. A seven-day trip gives you enough time to connect Lake Kariba with another major stop. However, the more places you add, the more you need to check charter flights, road transfers, luggage limits, and overnight stays.
Compare Lake Kariba beach packages for 7-day trips and review the destination details before requesting an itinerary.
Lake Kariba packages are best for couples, families with older children, photographers, and travelers who enjoy both wildlife and water. They also suit repeat safari visitors who want a less traditional trip than a park-only route.
These packages are less suitable for travelers who want a very low-cost beach holiday. The highest-priced 7-day active listing includes several experiences and destinations. It is not a simple room-and-breakfast stay beside the lake.
A 7-day Lake Kariba trip costs from US$3,160 per person for a complete package listing and from US$8,023 per person for an active itinerary including Mana Pools and Victoria Falls. These prices are reference points from current listings, not guaranteed 2027 quotes. International flights are excluded from the US$3,160 package [1][8].
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Active Lake Kariba, Mana Pools and Victoria Falls safari | From US$8,023 per person [1] | 7 days | Not supplied | Land and water activities |
| Complete Lake Kariba package | From US$3,160 per person [8] | Not supplied | Not supplied | Travelers seeking a complete lake package |
| Kariba and Matusadona National Park package | US$1,546 per adult [2] | Not supplied | Not supplied | Park and lake combination |
| Lake Kariba accommodation listing | US$204 nightly; US$236 displayed total [2] | Nightly stay | Not supplied | Flexible self-planned stays |
| Lake Kariba and Mana Pools small-group safari | US$10,829–US$17,134 per person [5] | 10 days | Not supplied | Longer small-group safari |
The itinerary length is the first major cost driver. A 10-day small-group safari covering Lake Kariba and Mana Pools costs US$10,829 to US$17,134 per person in the supplied listing [5]. An eight-day Changa Safari Camp itinerary covering Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park, and Lake Kariba starts from £4,895 [6].
Accommodation also changes the total. A nightly lake listing may look cheaper than a guided safari, but it may not include park fees, transfers, meals, guides, activities, or flights. Ask each operator for an itemized quote before comparing two prices.
Destination combinations create another difference. A Lake Kariba-only stay may cost less than a route that adds Mana Pools and Victoria Falls. Extra destinations bring more transport, nights, activities, and planning time.
Request a quote for a Lake Kariba safari within your budget from a verified SafariFind operator and compare inclusions, prices, and traveler reviews.
SafariFind gives you a practical way to compare operators before paying a deposit. Read authentic reviews, check the listed package scope, and ask whether the quoted rate applies to January–March 2027 or another travel period.
The clearest supplied booking window for a Lake Kariba and Mana Pools trip begins on 1 January 2027 and ends on 31 March 2027. The source confirms the travel period but does not provide a price. Therefore, treat these dates as an available planning reference, then confirm the exact 2027 rate and room supply with an operator [3].
Lake Kariba trips may connect with Victoria Falls or a regional airport, depending on the itinerary. The supplied Mana Pools and Lake Kariba information describes a transfer to Bumi Hills Airport, followed by a charter flight to Victoria Falls International Airport after breakfast at Lake Kariba [3].
Victoria Falls is a common add-on in wider Zimbabwe safari routes. Changa Safari Camp lists an eight-day itinerary covering Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park, and Lake Kariba from £4,895 [6]. Goway also lists a 10-day small-group route that includes Victoria Falls, Hwange, Lake Kariba, and Mana Pools [5].
If your route starts in Lusaka, ask whether the operator includes the transfer to the lake or requires a separate booking. If you fly through Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, confirm the onward connection before booking an international flight.
Book early for the January–March window if your dates are fixed. The supplied Go2Africa itinerary gives this period as a travel reference, but it does not show a price. Early planning gives you more time to compare flights, accommodation, and charter connections [3].
Keep a flexible date range when possible. A flexible plan may help you compare different room types and package lengths. It also makes it easier to replace a costly private itinerary with a small-group option.
Pack for both water and land activities. Bring light layers, sun protection, closed walking shoes, and a dry bag for boat-based outings. Ask your operator about luggage limits when the route includes a charter flight.

Lake Kariba packages stand out because they combine water-based travel with wildlife viewing and beach-style relaxation. A standard safari may focus on game drives, while a Lake Kariba route adds lake activities and a beach fire. A wider Zimbabwe circuit can add Victoria Falls and Hwange National Park, but it also increases the trip length and price.
Lake Kariba is best for travelers who want a slower lake setting and a flexible mix of activities. The active seven-day listing includes the lake, Mana Pools, Victoria Falls, game drives, water activities, and a beach fire [1]. This makes it a strong choice for travelers who want more than daily vehicle safaris.
Victoria Falls is best for travelers who want a major waterfall experience within a larger route. The Changa Safari Camp itinerary includes Victoria Falls, Hwange, and Lake Kariba over eight days from £4,895 [6]. The added park and waterfall stops create a fuller schedule.
Mana Pools National Park is best for travelers who place wildlife viewing at the center of the trip. The active Lake Kariba listing includes game drives in Mana Pools, while the Go2Africa itinerary connects the park and lake with regional air transfers [1][3].
| Trip style | Typical listed price | Duration | Included focus | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lake Kariba complete package | US$3,160 per person [8] | Not supplied | Lake-based travel | Flexible lake stays |
| Active Lake Kariba safari | From US$8,023 [1] | 7 days | Lake, Mana Pools, Victoria Falls | Varied active trips |
| Changa Zimbabwe circuit | From £4,895 [6] | 8 days | Victoria Falls, Hwange, Lake Kariba | First-time Zimbabwe visitors |
| Small-group Lake Kariba safari | US$10,829–US$17,134 [5] | 10 days | Lake Kariba, Mana Pools, wider safari route | Longer guided journeys |
Compare the full value, not only the daily rate. A cheaper listing may exclude flights, park fees, meals, or activities. A higher rate may cover more transfers and guided experiences. SafariFind can help you compare tour operators and read authentic reviews before you decide.
Before booking Lake Kariba beach packages for 2027, confirm the itinerary, price basis, travel dates, and included services in writing. The supplied listings show wide price differences, from US$1,546 per adult for a Kariba and Matusadona package to US$8,023 per person for an active seven-day safari [1][2].
Keep your booking confirmation, payment record, insurance details, and flight information together. Give the operator your arrival and departure details early. This matters when the itinerary uses a charter flight or a remote transfer.
Review your daily schedule before paying. A seven-day package may include several travel days. Ask how much time you spend at Lake Kariba, how many game drives you receive, and whether the route includes Victoria Falls or only the lake and park.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and package listings. The marketplace lets you compare prices, read authentic reviews, and ask questions before you commit. This makes it easier to separate a simple accommodation deal from a fully guided safari package.

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"Tongesai was awesome from the start. I knew he was a good tour operator because he answered all of my questions in a timely manner and no question was ever stupid. Everything was just as he said once we arrived and really it was better. We prepared for about a year in advance for this trip and the tour operator was instrumental and making this trip a success. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Give Tongesai a call or email, and you will 100% not be disappointed. I have a very deep understanding of border crossing and transportation challenges in many African countries at this point because of the efforts of the tour operator. This makes my wife and I have very comfortable to approach another visit or look at visiting a different African country."
