Kafue National Park Safari Packages 2027: First-Timer Costs range from US$1,448 per person sharing for fully inclusive Busanga Bush Camp accommodation to US$5,680 for a 7-day Kafue and Lower Zambezi safari. June to October is the listed Busanga travel period. Compare verified SafariFind packages, check what each rate includes, and request quotes before booking.
One 11-day Zambia safari covering Kafue, Lower Zambezi, and South Luangwa is listed at US$4,960 per person for July 2027 [1].
Kafue National Park Safari Packages 2027: First-Timer Costs are best understood by comparing the stay, route, and inclusions. A camp-only rate is not the same as a multi-park tour. This guide explains the listed prices, the travel window, and the choices that matter before you pay a deposit.
Quick answer: A first Kafue trip in 2027 has no single fixed total price. Busanga Bush Camp lists fully inclusive rates at US$1,448 per person sharing from June through October. A 7-day Kafue and Lower Zambezi safari starts at US$5,680, while an 11-day multi-park tour costs US$4,960 plus a US$520 local payment [1][2][3].
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic traveler reviews. Use the figures below as a starting point, then compare the exact package inclusions. A lower headline price may cover a camp stay, while a larger figure may cover several parks and transport between them.
Kafue National Park Safari Packages 2027: First-Timer Costs describe the prices listed for stays and tours in Zambia's Kafue National Park during 2027. The clearest single-camp rate is US$1,448 per person sharing at Busanga Bush Camp. The wider tour examples cost US$4,960 or US$5,680 because they cover longer routes and more than one park [1][2][3].
Busanga Bush Camp lists a 2027 rate of US$1,448 per person sharing for fully inclusive accommodation from 1 June to 31 October 2027 [3]. The same camp lists US$1,366 per person sharing for the same period in 2026 [3]. The 2027 rate is therefore US$82 higher than the listed 2026 rate.
The 2027 Busanga rate gives first-time visitors a clear camp benchmark. It does not create a fixed total for every Kafue holiday. Flights, transfers, extra nights, route changes, and personal spending can affect the final amount, so read the full booking terms before choosing a package.
Busanga Bush Camp is the simplest price example because the listed rate is fully inclusive accommodation. The operating and pricing period runs from June through October, which gives travelers a defined high-season planning window [3]. This timing is useful for visitors who want to build a 2027 trip around a known camp opening period.
Anantara Tented Camp Kafue River is another accommodation option inside Kafue National Park. The property is described as having ten villas and three Horizon Terrace Suites [5]. Its room count gives travelers a sense of scale, though the supplied information does not provide a 2027 room rate.
A camp rate and a touring rate answer different travel needs. A camp rate helps you plan time inside Kafue. A touring rate helps you plan a route that joins Kafue with other parks. Mixing the two figures can make a safari look cheaper or more expensive than it really is.
SafariFind helps you compare packages by destination, duration, operator, and traveler feedback. Compare Kafue safari packages and request a quote when you know whether you want a camp stay or a multi-park route.
Kafue safari packages in 2027 range across separate price types rather than one standard total. The listed examples are US$1,448 per person sharing for Busanga Bush Camp, US$5,680 for a 7-day Kafue and Lower Zambezi safari, and US$4,960 for an 11-day multi-park trip, with a US$520 local payment attached to that itinerary [1][2][3].
| Package or stay | Price | Duration | Route or setting |
|---|---|---|---|
| Busanga Bush Camp | US$1,448 per person sharing | Camp stay | Kafue National Park |
| Kafue and Lower Zambezi safari | From US$5,680 | 7 days | Kafue and Lower Zambezi |
| Best of Zambia safari | US$4,960 per person, discounted from US$6,200 | 11 days | Lower Zambezi, Kafue's Busanga Plains, and South Luangwa |
The 7-day Kafue and Lower Zambezi offer is listed from US$5,680 [2]. The 11-day Best of Zambia itinerary is listed at US$4,960 per person, reduced from US$6,200, for a 6 to 16 July 2027 departure [1]. These offers show why duration alone does not explain price. Route design, camp level, and included services matter too.
Lochinvar Safaris lists the 11-day itinerary as an instant-confirmation, guaranteed-departure trip. The itinerary has a US$520 local payment, and the listed departure runs from 6 July to 16 July 2027 [1]. Those details matter because the displayed tour price is not the only payment figure.
The route covers Lower Zambezi, Kafue's Busanga Plains, and South Luangwa National Parks [1]. A traveler choosing this option gets a wider Zambia route than a Kafue-only stay. The trade-off is a longer travel plan with more transfers and more decisions before departure.
Start with four questions. Does the rate cover accommodation? Does it cover meals and drinks? Does it cover activities? Does it include transport between parks? The Busanga listing describes fully inclusive accommodation, while the multi-park listings present route prices and payment details [1][2][3].
Use SafariFind when your budget has a firm limit. Compare verified tour operators for a 2027 Kafue safari and ask each operator to state the final price, local payments, travel dates, and included services in writing.
For wider planning, the guide to Zambia safari costs for a 10-day trip can help you compare a Kafue route with a longer national itinerary. The 2027 Zambia lodge rate guide is also useful when accommodation style drives your budget.
First-time visitors should choose the route before choosing the lodge. Pick a Kafue-only camp stay if you want a clear, focused plan. Pick a multi-park tour if you want Lower Zambezi or South Luangwa included. Then match the dates, payments, and inclusions to your available budget.
Start by choosing your travel month. Busanga Bush Camp lists its 2027 operating and pricing period from June through October [3]. Travelers who want that camp should plan within those months. A July departure also appears in the 11-day Best of Zambia itinerary, which runs from 6 July to 16 July 2027 [1].
Next, decide how much time you have. The listed Kafue and Lower Zambezi option runs for seven days [2]. The Best of Zambia route runs for 11 days and adds South Luangwa [1]. A longer itinerary can cover more parks, but it also asks you to manage more travel days.
Plan your arrival point with care. Lusaka is a useful place to research when your operator routes you through Zambia's capital. Travelers adding a waterfall stop can also review Victoria Falls travel options. Confirm every transfer with the operator before booking.
SafariFind makes this check easier by bringing verified operators and authentic reviews into one marketplace. A review can tell you how the trip felt in practice, while the package page should tell you what the price covers.
Ask for the full day-by-day plan. Ask where the Kafue nights take place. Ask whether the route includes Busanga Plains, Lower Zambezi, or South Luangwa. Ask when the local payment is due. These questions protect you from comparing a camp price with a complete touring price.
First-timers should also compare cancellation terms, room sharing, and departure confirmation. The 11-day itinerary is advertised as guaranteed departure and instant confirmation [1]. That wording gives it a different booking profile from a standalone camp rate.
Travelers considering other Zambia parks can read the Lower Zambezi six-day itinerary guide and the 2027 Luangwa Valley walking safari price guide. These comparisons help you decide whether Kafue should be your main destination or one stop on a wider trip.
First-time visitors should treat the listed 2027 rates as planning benchmarks, not identical products. Busanga Bush Camp lists a fully inclusive camp price. The other examples combine several parks, longer routes, and separate payment details. A fair comparison starts with the same duration, room basis, and inclusions.
Kafue National Park is represented in the listed offers through Busanga Bush Camp, Busanga Plains, and Anantara Tented Camp Kafue River. The Anantara property has ten villas and three Horizon Terrace Suites inside the park [5]. These details suit travelers who want to compare a small camp setting with a larger multi-park itinerary.
The listed price range runs from US$1,448 per person sharing for the Busanga camp rate to US$5,680 for the seven-day Kafue and Lower Zambezi offer [2][3]. The 11-day route sits at US$4,960 per person, with a US$520 local payment [1]. These figures describe different products, so the cheapest headline number is not automatically the best value.
Getting there depends on the operator's route and the package you select. The listed offers do not provide one shared arrival plan for every traveler. Ask for the airport, ground transfer, and final camp connection before you pay. If your trip begins in Lusaka, link the arrival day to the safari start date with enough time for changes.
Some travelers combine Kafue with other Zambia stops. Lake Itezhi Tezhi may appear in wider regional planning, but a destination mention alone does not confirm that it belongs in a specific Kafue package. Keep the confirmed itinerary as your guide.
Kafue safari packages listed for 2027 range from US$1,448 per person sharing at Busanga Bush Camp to US$5,680 for a seven-day Kafue and Lower Zambezi safari [2][3]. An 11-day Zambia itinerary costs US$4,960 per person and has a US$520 local payment [1].
What is the best time for a first Kafue safari? The listed Busanga Bush Camp season runs from June through October 2027 [3]. First-time visitors who want this camp should plan within that period. A July departure is also listed for the 11-day Best of Zambia itinerary, from 6 to 16 July 2027 [1].
Is Busanga Bush Camp fully inclusive?Busanga Bush Camp lists fully inclusive accommodation at US$1,448 per person sharing from 1 June to 31 October 2027 [3]. Confirm the exact meal, drink, activity, transfer, and room-sharing terms with the operator before payment.
How long should a first Kafue safari be?A first Kafue safari can use a focused camp stay or a wider route. The listed combination safari lasts seven days, while the Best of Zambia itinerary lasts 11 days and covers Lower Zambezi, Kafue, and South Luangwa [1][2]. Choose the length that matches your route and budget.
Does the 11-day Zambia safari have a local payment?Yes. The listed 11-day Best of Zambia itinerary has a US$520 local payment [1]. It is advertised as an instant-confirmation, guaranteed-departure trip for 6 to 16 July 2027. Include this payment when you compare the total cost.

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"Tongesai was awesome from the start. I knew he was a good tour operator because he answered all of my questions in a timely manner and no question was ever stupid. Everything was just as he said once we arrived and really it was better. We prepared for about a year in advance for this trip and the tour operator was instrumental and making this trip a success. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Give Tongesai a call or email, and you will 100% not be disappointed. I have a very deep understanding of border crossing and transportation challenges in many African countries at this point because of the efforts of the tour operator. This makes my wife and I have very comfortable to approach another visit or look at visiting a different African country."
