Isalo National Park can cost only about $20 to enter based on a historical 2018 rate, yet a full Madagascar tour can cost more than $5,000 per person.
Isalo National Park Fees 2027: Tours, Costs and Booking depend on whether you choose a park visit or a longer Madagascar itinerary. Listed multiday packages start at $2,039 per person, while an 11-day package including Isalo starts at $5,199. The park sits between Ilakaka and Ranohira, and current entrance fees must be confirmed before travel.
Isalo National Park Fees 2027: Tours, Costs and Booking require two separate budgets. The first covers park access. The second covers transport, guiding, hotels, meals, and other stops across Madagascar. Mixing these costs creates confusion when you compare tour prices.
Isalo National Park is in southern Madagascar, between Ilakaka and Ranohira. The park is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. [4] Its dry sandstone scenery includes canyons, natural pools, and high viewpoints. Those features make Isalo a strong choice for walking trips and road-based Madagascar safaris.
Quick answer: A listed multiday Isalo package starts at $2,039 per person in the available 2027 pricing data. An 11-day Madagascar tour that includes Isalo starts at $5,199. The old park fee was about $20 in 2018, but you should ask your operator for the current 2027 entrance charge.
This guide separates the entrance fee from the full tour price. It also explains what packages include, how long tours last, and how to check a quote before paying. Prices are planning figures, not a promise of future availability.
Isalo National Park tour pricing usually combines park access with travel services across Madagascar. A package can include accommodation, selected meals, road transfers, and guided visits. The listed starting price of $2,039 per person applies to a multiday package, not to a park ticket alone [2].
Isalo National Park has a separate entrance charge from the cost of reaching Ranohira. The historical entrance fee was about $20 in 2018 [2]. No confirmed 2027 fee appears in the supplied research, so treat that figure as a past reference only.
Tour prices rise when the route includes several parks or coast stops. For example, one 11-day Madagascar package with Isalo was listed from $5,199 per person [2]. Another 15-day tour including Isalo was listed from £3,495 [6]. These prices show why duration matters more than the entrance ticket.
Accommodation is another major cost line. Some listed multiday packages include accommodation and selected meals [2]. They may not include every meal, drink, tip, domestic flight, travel insurance, or personal expense. Ask for an itemized quote before you compare two offers.
Isalo National Park is known for sandstone formations, deep canyons, natural pools, and scenic viewpoints [3]. These features shape the tour. A walking-focused itinerary may need more time than a short road stop.
Isalo National Park tours are often part of longer trips lasting about 10 to 16 days [3]. This format suits travelers who want to combine the park with other parts of Madagascar. A shorter stay may work for visitors already traveling through the southern route.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and listed packages. Compare Madagascar safari packages with Isalo tours to check current prices, inclusions, and traveler feedback before you request a quote.
The park fee matters because it confirms whether your quote includes official access. Some itineraries show one total price, while others list park charges separately. A low headline price may leave you paying for transport, guiding, meals, or entry after booking.
Read the payment terms closely. Ask whether the operator pays the park fee in advance. Also ask whether the guide cost covers the full walking route or only the transfer into the park.
Isalo National Park tours listed for 2027 start at $2,039 per person for multiday packages. Longer routes cost more because they add nights, transport, meals, and other destinations. A clear quote should show the number of days, accommodation level, and services included.
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Listed multiday Isalo package | From $2,039 per person | Multiday | Not provided | Travelers seeking a standard Isalo package |
| Madagascar package including Isalo | From $5,199 per person | 11 days | Not provided | Travelers wanting a longer island route |
| Madagascar tour including Isalo | From £3,495 per person | 15 days | Not provided | Travelers combining parks and coastlines |
The $2,039 price is the clearest starting point for a multiday Isalo trip [2]. The $5,199 figure covers a longer 11-day package that includes the park [2]. The £3,495 figure applies to a 15-day itinerary listed by another operator [6]. These offers use different currencies and durations, so do not compare them as equal products.
Prices also depend on route design. A tour focused on Isalo can cost less than a route that adds Ranomafana, Andasibe, or beach stays. For a wider plan, compare this guide with the 5-day Madagascar safari itinerary and cost guide.
SafariFind lets you compare operator offers before you commit. Request quotes for Isalo National Park packages around your budget and check which costs each verified operator includes.
Start an Isalo National Park visit by choosing the trip length, route, and walking level. Then confirm the park fee, opening hours, transport, and guide services in writing. This simple order helps you avoid paying for a package that does not match your plans.
Isalo National Park is located between Ilakaka and Ranohira in southern Madagascar [4]. Getting there requires a road transfer or an organized tour. Ask your operator how long the road journey takes from your previous stop and where you will sleep before entering the park.
Park access is listed daily from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. [4]. Build your schedule around those hours. A late arrival can reduce walking time, especially when your itinerary includes a viewpoint or natural pool.
Choose a package based on your interests. Hikers may want a route with more time inside the park. Travelers on a tight schedule may prefer a short visit linked to a wider southern Madagascar route.
SafariFind helps you compare verified operators and package details in one place. You can also compare nearby travel ideas, such as Anja Community Reserve tours and fees, before building a longer route.
Pack closed walking shoes, a refillable water bottle, sun protection, and light layers. The park has walks across uneven ground, so comfort matters more than fashion. Confirm the route difficulty with your guide before the tour starts.
Ask whether the operator supplies drinking water during drives. Also check if luggage transfers are included. These small details affect both comfort and the final cost.
Many travelers build a wider Madagascar trip around Isalo. A route may also include the Ranomafana National Park or the Andasibe-Mantadia National Park. Check each transfer time before adding another stop.
If you want a beach finish, compare Isalo with Ifaty beach packages for 2027. A park and coast combination can be appealing, but extra road days may raise the price.
An Isalo tour combines sandstone scenery with guided walks through canyons, pools, and viewpoints. The park suits travelers who want active days and clear landscape changes. Longer Madagascar tours often place Isalo within a 10 to 16-day route [3].
Isalo National Park is known for sandstone formations, deep canyons, natural pools, and scenic viewpoints [3]. These are the park's main reasons to visit. The scenery also creates a strong contrast with rainforest and coastal stops elsewhere in Madagascar.
Isalo is best for travelers who enjoy walking, road trips, and varied landscapes. It also suits visitors who want a structured tour with a local guide. People seeking only a short wildlife stop should ask how much time the itinerary gives to the park itself.
The right stay depends on the larger itinerary. A short Isalo visit can fit a southern road route. A longer package allows more time for walks and viewpoints. Tours featuring Isalo are described as lasting about 10 to 16 days [3], but that total includes travel beyond the park.
Do not confuse total tour duration with time inside Isalo. Ask for the exact number of park visits and the planned start time each day. This question often reveals the difference between two packages with similar prices.
Compare operators by checking their stated inclusions, route details, reviews, and response to fee questions. A good quote should explain what happens if the park changes its entry charge. It should also show who provides the guide and transport.
SafariFind lists verified tour operators and authentic traveler reviews. Use those details to compare service quality, not only the lowest price. A slightly higher quote may include better transfers or more suitable accommodation.
The confirmed 2027 entrance fee is not provided in the available research. A historical fee of about $20 was reported for 2018, so ask your operator to confirm the current charge before booking [2].
Listed multiday Isalo National Park tours start at $2,039 per person. This figure may include accommodation and selected meals, but you should confirm transport, guiding, park entry, and other inclusions in writing [2].
Some listed packages include accommodation and selected meals. Other costs may sit outside the headline price, including park entry, extra meals, drinks, tips, and personal expenses. Request an itemized quote before you pay.
Tours featuring Isalo are described as lasting about 10 to 16 days. That figure usually covers a wider Madagascar route, not days spent inside Isalo alone [3]. Ask for the exact number of park visits.
Isalo National Park is listed as open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Plan your walks and viewpoints within those hours, and confirm the schedule with your operator before departure [4].
You can book by comparing verified operators, checking package inclusions, reading authentic reviews, and requesting a written quote. SafariFind helps travelers compare Madagascar packages and contact operators for current 2027 availability.
Isalo National Park Fees 2027: Tours, Costs and Booking depend on the difference between entry and a complete Madagascar journey. The historical park fee was about $20, while listed multiday packages start at $2,039 per person [2]. Longer options include an 11-day package from $5,199 and a 15-day tour from £3,495 [2][6].
Choose Isalo if you want sandstone scenery, canyon walks, natural pools, and viewpoints. Confirm the current park fee, opening hours, guide service, accommodation, and meals before you pay. Then compare the full cost, not only the advertised starting figure.

"From start to finish, this tour was an unforgettable experience. When enquiring about planning this trip ,Tony was very responsive, informative and. answered all our questions as we went along .When my suitcase didn't arrive in Madagascar Tony sorted it for me and negotiated with the airline on my behalf, going above and beyond and was very much appreciated Our guides were all knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual and clearly passionate about what they do, which made the whole trip both fun and informative. The itinerary was perfectly balanced — we saw all the major highlights without ever feeling rushed, and there were plenty of opportunities to take photos, ask questions, and just soak up the atmosphere. The transportation was comfortable, everything ran smoothly and on time, and as it was a private tour we were able to spend as little or as much time at each place as we chose. Every stop had something unique to offer, and the insider stories and local tips really brought the culture to life. It’s rare to find a tour that gets every detail right, but this one truly did, guides were on time , transfers were smooth, everything was flexible to our wishes. Hugh thanks to Tony, Sidney, Princee and Nico. The drivers were all awesome and we always felt safe despite some roads been very African massage- bumpy ! We left with amazing memories, beautiful photos, and a much deeper appreciation for the country. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat!"

"We have recently finished a 10 day tour of Madagascar in April 2025 using the operator “Madagascar Natural Tours” from start to finish it almost felt too good to be true, I have never met any one else from Australia who has been to Madagascar so we were very hesitant in whether it would be safe and had no idea how to organise a holiday there or what to expect. Harilala was extremely professional and communicative the entire way and answered every single (too many) questions of ours and made us feel comfortable and excited. He planned our itinerary just perfectly we listed a couple of things we had wanted to see - baobab avenue, lemurs and Nosy Be. He organised our whole itinerary, accomodation and flights for us so that it flowed seamlessly. He provided options in accomodation as we were seeking honeymoon style resorts. The hotels that he booked were beautiful, clean, great food and lovely staff! We had a few internal flights in our itinerary and it was so nice stepping off the plane and trusting that there would be a guide there waiting for us to get us to our hotel. The few times during our stay we had a question regarding our tour, Harilala would reply to our messages almost immediately and paid very careful attention to ensure we were happy and getting the most out of our tour. Using Madagascar Natural Tours took all stress out of the holiday / planning and allowed us to just show up and make memories of a lifetime! I would highly recommend this company to anybody curious to explore Madagascar! Particularly if you do not speak French, we struggled with the language barrier however all guides had amazing English which was such a relief. We can’t wait to come back in a few years time!!"

"We entrusted Harilala with our Madagascar tour, explaining what we wanted to see and visit. What can I say? He exceeded our expectations! Besides the wonderful tour, Solo and Fidele, our tour leaders, made the difference. We spent 20 days in Madagascar, and they flew by; everything was fantastic. We'll definitely be back to see the southernmost part of the country."
