Ifaty appears in Madagascar itineraries priced from $914 for four days and $2,471 for 14 days. The bigger surprise is how much package prices change when beach time joins wildlife, rainforest, and road travel.
Ifaty snorkeling packages in 2027 cost about $20 for extra activities, while longer Madagascar tours range from $2,471 to $9,000 per person. Ifaty is best for travelers who want a turquoise lagoon, beach time, and easy access to southern Madagascar. July is a useful planning reference because published travel listings include Ifaty routes for that month. Compare verified options before you book.
Ifaty Snorkeling Packages 2027: Prices and Booking is a guide to costs, routes, activities, and smart booking steps for southern Madagascar. It focuses on what current listings show as of September 2026. Prices are not all for an Ifaty-only stay. Some include long road routes, hotels, guides, meals, and several regions.
Ifaty is a coastal stop near Toliara. Published itineraries place it beside a turquoise lagoon and combine it with Madagascar's highlands, rainforests, bays, and baobab country. [1][3] That mix explains why one package may cost under $1,000 for four days, while another costs several thousand dollars.
The key question is simple. Do you want a short beach add-on, or a full Madagascar journey with Ifaty included? Your answer changes the price more than the snorkeling itself.
Quick answer: Ifaty snorkeling packages in 2027 start at about $20 for extra activities, while published full tours range from $2,471 to $9,000 per person. A four-day Southern Flamingo Package starts at $914. Longer routes include Ifaty with Morondava, Ranomafana, Antananarivo, or other regions. [3][4][6]
SafariFind helps travelers compare verified tour operators, read authentic traveler reviews, and request quotes before paying. Use the figures below as planning markers, then confirm what each package includes.
Ifaty snorkeling packages in 2027 are beach or Madagascar tour itineraries that include time around Ifaty's lagoon, with snorkeling, diving, lodging, transport, or other activities added to the route. Some packages focus on the coast. Others use Ifaty as one stop in a much longer journey across Madagascar.
Ifaty is known for its turquoise lagoon and beach setting. A 16-day Madagascar itinerary combines Ifaty with the highlands, Ranomafana rainforest, Diego Suarez bays, and the Tsingy of Ankarana. The route starts and ends in Antananarivo or Nosy Be, according to the published listing. [1]
Ifaty snorkeling is therefore not always sold as a stand-alone trip. Many travelers reach the coast after visiting inland parks or towns. That arrangement suits people who want wildlife and culture before several slower beach days.
Madagascar's beach-and-diving listings show two days in Ifaty. Each day can include two dives or a night dive, but the listing says travelers pay for those activities themselves. [7] This detail matters. A low headline price can rise once you add gear, guides, boats, and optional dives.
Full itineraries can give you more than beach time, but they also add transfers and planning limits. A shorter stay gives you more control and less time on the road. Neither choice is automatically better. It depends on whether your priority is snorkeling, wildlife, or seeing several parts of Madagascar.
Travelers who want a wider route can compare an 5-day Madagascar safari itinerary for 2027 before adding beach days.
Compare Ifaty beach packages and resort options for 2027 before choosing a snorkeling add-on.
Ifaty snorkeling packages cost about $20 for an extra activity at the low end, while full Madagascar tours with Ifaty range from $2,471 to $9,000 per person in current listings. A four-day Southern Flamingo Package starts at $914. These prices are useful guides, but they do not describe the same trip type. [1][4][6]
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Southern Flamingo Package | From $914 | 4 days | Not stated | Short southern Madagascar trips |
| Madagascar itinerary with Ifaty | From $2,471 | 14 days | Not stated | Travelers wanting several inland stops |
| Land of Baobabs Tour | From £2,900 per person | 13 days | Not stated | Southwestern road routes and beaches |
| Madagascar beach tour listing | US$4,453 | Not stated | Not stated | Beach-focused multi-stop travel |
| Ifaty listing | From $4,019 | Not stated | Not stated | Higher-priced arranged travel |
| Long Madagascar tours | Up to $9,000 | Not stated | Not stated | Private or extended routes |
The Southern Flamingo Package is listed from $914 for four days. [4] A separate 14-day itinerary that includes Antananarivo, Ifaty, Ranohira, Ranomafana, and Antsirabe starts at $2,471. [6] These examples show why duration and route matter more than the word "snorkeling" in the package title.
The Land of Baobabs Tour starts at £2,900 per person for 13 days, based on two people sharing a double room. Its route covers Morondava, Belo sur Mer, Toliara, Ifaty, Ankasy, Andravona, Andavadoaka, and Morombe. [3] It suits travelers who want a broad southwest route rather than a single beach base.
A Madagascar beach-tour listing shows US$4,453, but the result does not identify that price as an Ifaty-only package. [2] Treat it as a wider comparison point, not a guaranteed Ifaty rate. A separate Ifaty page lists a starting price of $4,019. [4]
One vacation listing offers a Flex add-on for $99 per person with cancellation for any reason. The listing does not confirm whether that offer applies to 2027 bookings, so ask for written confirmation. [8]
SafariFind can help you compare operators, prices, and traveler feedback before you choose. Request a quote for an Ifaty beach package with your budget and activity list.
Start by choosing the trip shape, then check activities, transport, and cancellation terms. A short four-day package works for a focused southern visit. A 13-day, 14-day, 16-day, or 18-day route fits travelers who want Ifaty within a larger Madagascar holiday. [1][3][4][6]
A short route gives you less time in transit and a simpler budget. A longer route can join Ifaty with rainforest, highland towns, baobabs, and other coastal areas. For example, one listed 18-day itinerary includes Ifaty and the Avenue of the Baobabs. [6]
Travelers who want rainforest before the beach can review an Andasibe-Mantadia itinerary for 2027. Those who want a dry-country extension can compare lodges near Isalo National Park.
Ask four direct questions before booking. Is the boat included? Is equipment included? Is a guide included? Can you choose snorkeling instead of diving? The beach-and-diving itinerary lists optional two-dive and night-dive activities at the traveler's own expense. [7]
Do not assume a package includes every water activity. Some listings use snorkeling as one part of a coastal route. Others may sell it as an optional add-on after you arrive.
July appears in a published Ifaty travel listing, including a 14-day route priced from $2,471 and an 18-day route featuring the Avenue of the Baobabs. [6] Use July as a clear comparison point, then ask operators for their 2027 operating dates and water conditions.
Book early if your dates are fixed. This matters most when you need a certain hotel, private vehicle, or room type. Early quotes also give you time to compare what the price includes.
You can also compare nearby beach and wildlife stops. SafariFind lists destinations such as Nosy Tanikely Marine Reserve, Nosy Iranja, and Nosy Komba. These places are not substitutes for Ifaty, but they can help you compare island and lagoon travel styles.
Book by comparing the exact itinerary, asking for a written 2027 quote, and checking the operator's reviews. SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, so you can compare packages and read authentic feedback before making a decision.
The £2,900 Land of Baobabs rate is based on two people sharing a double room. [3] That wording can change the cost for solo travelers. The $99 Flex option also needs a 2027 confirmation before you count it as protection. [8]
Ask where the tour starts and ends. Ask how much road travel comes before Ifaty. Ask whether the itinerary can add one or two free beach days. Then ask for the total cost with every optional water activity shown as a separate line.
SafariFind pages can also help you compare wider Madagascar plans. You can read about five-day Madagascar safari costs or review Lokobe National Park packages for 2027 if you want wildlife before or after Ifaty.
Keep your first quote simple. Request one price for a short Ifaty stay and one price for a longer Madagascar route. This makes the trade-off clear. You may prefer a lower-cost beach plan, or decide that the extra regions justify a larger budget.
Read reviews for comments about guides, transfers, hotel standards, and communication. A good snorkeling plan still needs reliable land travel. Madagascar routes can cover long distances, so the road plan deserves as much attention as the lagoon.
Ifaty snorkeling packages cost about $20 for extra activities, while full Madagascar tours with Ifaty range from $2,471 to $9,000 per person in current listings. A four-day Southern Flamingo Package starts at $914. Confirm inclusions because these prices cover different trip lengths and routes. [1][4][6]
An Ifaty snorkeling package may include accommodation, transfers, meals, lagoon time, and guided activities. Snorkeling gear, boat trips, and diving are not always included. One Madagascar beach-and-diving itinerary lists two dives or a night dive as activities paid by the traveler. [7]
Plan at least four days for a short southern Madagascar package, or choose 13 to 18 days if you want Ifaty within a wider route. Published examples include four-day, 13-day, 14-day, 16-day, and 18-day itineraries. [1][3][4][6]
July is a listed planning period for Ifaty travel, with published itineraries that include Ifaty and other Madagascar stops. Ask the operator about 2027 dates, water conditions, hotel space, and activity schedules before you pay. [6]
You can combine Ifaty with Madagascar's highlands, Ranomafana rainforest, Diego Suarez bays, Ankarana Tsingy, Morondava, Belo sur Mer, and the Avenue of the Baobabs. Published itineraries show that Ifaty often works as one stop in a longer route. [1][3][6]
You can compare Ifaty packages on SafariFind, review verified operators, and request quotes for your dates. Give the operator your budget, preferred number of beach nights, and water activities so the quote matches your real plan.
Ifaty snorkeling packages in 2027 range from low-cost activity add-ons to full Madagascar journeys priced at several thousand dollars. The clearest published markers are $914 for four days, $2,471 for a 14-day itinerary, £2,900 for a 13-day southwest route, and up to $9,000 for longer arranged tours. [3][4][6]
Ifaty suits travelers who want lagoon time without giving up inland Madagascar. Choose a short package if snorkeling is your main goal. Choose a longer route if you want rainforest, baobabs, highlands, or wildlife in the same holiday.
Check every activity fee, transfer, room rule, and cancellation term before booking. A written quote prevents small extras from changing your budget. Compare verified Ifaty beach packages for your 2027 dates through SafariFind, then read authentic reviews and request a tailored quote from a verified operator. As 2027 planning grows, early comparison gives you more control over price and availability.

"From start to finish, this tour was an unforgettable experience. When enquiring about planning this trip ,Tony was very responsive, informative and. answered all our questions as we went along .When my suitcase didn't arrive in Madagascar Tony sorted it for me and negotiated with the airline on my behalf, going above and beyond and was very much appreciated Our guides were all knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual and clearly passionate about what they do, which made the whole trip both fun and informative. The itinerary was perfectly balanced — we saw all the major highlights without ever feeling rushed, and there were plenty of opportunities to take photos, ask questions, and just soak up the atmosphere. The transportation was comfortable, everything ran smoothly and on time, and as it was a private tour we were able to spend as little or as much time at each place as we chose. Every stop had something unique to offer, and the insider stories and local tips really brought the culture to life. It’s rare to find a tour that gets every detail right, but this one truly did, guides were on time , transfers were smooth, everything was flexible to our wishes. Hugh thanks to Tony, Sidney, Princee and Nico. The drivers were all awesome and we always felt safe despite some roads been very African massage- bumpy ! We left with amazing memories, beautiful photos, and a much deeper appreciation for the country. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat!"

"We have recently finished a 10 day tour of Madagascar in April 2025 using the operator “Madagascar Natural Tours” from start to finish it almost felt too good to be true, I have never met any one else from Australia who has been to Madagascar so we were very hesitant in whether it would be safe and had no idea how to organise a holiday there or what to expect. Harilala was extremely professional and communicative the entire way and answered every single (too many) questions of ours and made us feel comfortable and excited. He planned our itinerary just perfectly we listed a couple of things we had wanted to see - baobab avenue, lemurs and Nosy Be. He organised our whole itinerary, accomodation and flights for us so that it flowed seamlessly. He provided options in accomodation as we were seeking honeymoon style resorts. The hotels that he booked were beautiful, clean, great food and lovely staff! We had a few internal flights in our itinerary and it was so nice stepping off the plane and trusting that there would be a guide there waiting for us to get us to our hotel. The few times during our stay we had a question regarding our tour, Harilala would reply to our messages almost immediately and paid very careful attention to ensure we were happy and getting the most out of our tour. Using Madagascar Natural Tours took all stress out of the holiday / planning and allowed us to just show up and make memories of a lifetime! I would highly recommend this company to anybody curious to explore Madagascar! Particularly if you do not speak French, we struggled with the language barrier however all guides had amazing English which was such a relief. We can’t wait to come back in a few years time!!"

Besides the wonderful tour, Solo and Fidele, our tour leaders, made the difference. We spent 20 days in Madagascar, and they flew by; everything was fantastic. We'll definitely be back to see the southernmost part of the country."
