Hwange National Park lodges in 2027 list nightly rates from US$565 per person at Nehimba Lodge to US$1,313 at Verney's Camp during high season. The best value periods are January to March and May to October, depending on the lodge. Use SafariFind to compare verified operators, packages, and traveler reviews.
Hwange National Park lodges can cost more than US$1,300 per person each night during the 2027 high season. That wide gap makes season dates matter as much as the lodge itself.
Hwange National Park lodges 2027: nightly rates compared is a useful search for one simple reason. Published prices differ sharply by lodge and season. Nehimba Lodge lists a 2027 standard rate of US$565 per person per night for May to October. Verney's Camp lists US$1,313 for high season from 1 June to 31 October 2027. [1][3]
Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe's largest wildlife area and sits close to Victoria Falls. A published 2027 itinerary describes the park as about 2 hours from Victoria Falls. It also lists more than 100 mammal species and almost 400 bird species. [5]
Quick answer: The cheapest published 2027 rate in this guide is US$565 per person per night at Nehimba Lodge for May to October. Verney's Camp costs US$718 in its secret season and US$1,313 in high season. Compare dates first, then compare rooms, meals, transfers, and reviews.
Rates are not the whole trip cost. You may also need transfers, park fees, flights, and time at Victoria Falls. Therefore, a lodge with a higher nightly rate may still fit better when it includes more services.
Hwange National Park lodges 2027: nightly rates compared means checking published prices against travel dates, room type, and season. The clearest figures available for 2027 come from Nehimba Lodge and Verney's Camp. Their rates show why the same park can suit both value-focused and luxury travelers.
Nehimba Lodge lists a standard 2027 rate of US$565 per person per night for May to October. The same published rate table also shows a standard sharing rate of US$825 per person per night for one later-year period. [1]
Verney's Camp lists three 2027 seasonal sharing rates. The secret season runs from 11 January to 31 March at US$718 per person per night. The shoulder season runs from 1 April to 31 May at US$880. High season runs from 1 June to 31 October at US$1,313. [3]
| Lodge | 2027 season | Dates | Rate per person per night |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nehimba Lodge | Standard | May to October | US$565 |
| Nehimba Lodge | Standard sharing | Later-year period shown in rate table | US$825 |
| Verney's Camp | Secret season sharing | 11 January to 31 March | US$718 |
| Verney's Camp | Shoulder season sharing | 1 April to 31 May | US$880 |
| Verney's Camp | High season sharing | 1 June to 31 October | US$1,313 |
The table shows a difference of US$595 between Verney's Camp secret season and high season. That is a major saving for travelers who can visit before June. It also shows that lodge choice matters. Nehimba Lodge's published May to October standard rate is US$748 below Verney's high-season sharing rate.
Known for: Hwange offers a mix of wildlife viewing, guided lodge stays, and access from Victoria Falls. Best for: travelers who want a Zimbabwe safari without building a long multi-country route.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic reviews. Compare Hwange safari packages and lodge stays for 2027 before choosing your dates.
The best lodge rate depends on what the price includes and when you travel. A nightly figure alone does not tell you the final cost. Check the rate basis, season dates, room type, transfers, and planned activities before you compare two Hwange lodges.
Verney's Camp gives a clear example. Its 2027 sharing rate rises from US$718 in January to March, to US$880 in April and May, then to US$1,313 from June to October. The high-season price is about 83 percent above the secret-season price. [3]
May deserves close attention. Nehimba Lodge lists US$565 for May to October, while Verney's Camp lists US$880 for May. These are different lodges and rate types, but the comparison still shows how much the property can affect the budget.
Nehimba Lodge's published table uses labels such as “PP single” and “PP sharing.” Those terms describe how the lodge applies the rate to occupancy. Read the exact room and occupancy line before booking. A sharing rate may suit two travelers, while a single rate may apply when one person uses a room.
Hwange Safari Lodge also appears in current accommodation listings, including a 2027 updated-price page with 107 guest reviews on Booking.com. [2] Treat that page as a separate property listing. Do not compare its room price with an all-inclusive safari lodge rate unless the inclusions match.
A 2027 Victoria Falls and Hwange itinerary is advertised at 5 nights and 6 days, running from 2 to 7 July. [5] Another advertised trip combines Victoria Falls and Hwange in 4 days and 3 nights. [6] These formats suit different travelers. The shorter plan works for a quick add-on, while five nights gives more time for game drives and rest.
Hwange also connects well with other Zimbabwe travel plans. You can read the Hwange safari packages 2027 guide before comparing a lodge-only stay with a full package.
SafariFind lets you compare package prices and request quotes from verified operators. Compare verified Hwange tour operators for your 2027 travel dates when inclusions matter as much as the nightly rate.
Start a Hwange lodge booking by choosing your season, trip length, and arrival point. Then compare the same rate basis across lodges. This order prevents a low nightly price from hiding a short stay, a different room type, or extra transfer costs.
January to March gives Verney's Camp's published secret-season rate of US$718 per person per night. April and May move into the US$880 shoulder-season rate. June to October brings the US$1,313 high-season rate. [3]
May to October gives Nehimba Lodge's published standard rate of US$565 per person per night. [1] That makes Nehimba worth checking for travelers who want a dry-season trip but need a lower lodge rate.
A 4-day, 3-night Victoria Falls and Hwange package is advertised for March 2027. [6] A separate 5-night, 6-day itinerary runs from 2 to 7 July 2027. [5] Ask which nights take place inside Hwange. Some combined trips include Victoria Falls nights, so the total trip length is not the same as the lodge stay.
For a first visit, a three-night stay gives you a short but clear taste of the park. A five-night plan gives more space for travel days and repeated game drives. Your choice should follow the wildlife focus, not only the headline price.
Ask for a written breakdown before you pay. Confirm these points:
These questions keep the comparison fair. They also help you spot the difference between a lodge-only booking and a complete safari package.
Hwange is often paired with Victoria Falls, but Zimbabwe offers other stops too. SafariFind pages cover Kazuma Pan National Park, Ngamo Plains, and Mavuradonha Wilderness. These pages help you decide whether Hwange should be the full trip or one stop on a longer route.
The 7-day Zimbabwe safari itinerary guide is useful when you want to add more than one park. Keep the plan simple. Too many transfers can reduce the time you spend inside Hwange.
SafariFind can help you review operators, compare inclusions, and find a lodge that fits your route. Use the published rate figures as a starting point, then confirm the final quote for your dates.
SafariFind helps travelers compare verified tour operators, safari packages, prices, and authentic reviews in one place. That matters in Hwange because two nightly rates may use different seasons, room types, and inclusions. A clear comparison protects your budget and gives you a better view of the whole trip.
SafariFind also helps you look beyond a single lodge. You can compare a Victoria Falls combination with a lodge-only stay, then request a quote that matches your arrival date and trip length. The platform is useful when you want practical details rather than a long list of properties.

"Booking the safari at Miombo Safari Camp with Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours was easy and they answer all our questions thoroughly and in a timely fashion. We communicated through email, payment was easy too through email. There was no availability for the Hwange safari camp on the dates we requested but Mr. Tongesai managed to find us another safari camp, Miombo, which was a delightful place whilst honoring the rates offered at their website. Mr. Tongesai made sure we were picked up and driven to the camp, accompanying us on the 2-hour trip and later receiving us back at our hotel. Miombo's accommodations, the tent, was like camping with glamour. It was spacious with 2 comfortable single beds and charming decoration. The ensuite bathroom felt like we were in the woods but protected and with the comforts of a good hotel. The hot water in the shower was not working but Mr. Bernard, Miombo's host, made sure it was fixed by the time we came back from the afternoon game drive. The tent was right in front of a water hole, which depending on the season, would have received the visit of elephants. We didn't see any animals there but one night a leopard came to our camp. Unfortunately, we didn't see it as we slept safely under the watch of night guards. They also made sure we were escorted back and forth during the night between our tent and the common area. Mr. Bernard served delicious meals in the beautiful open common area viewing the forest and sometimes with a visit of monkeys. The dessert was always delicious! At night we had a bonfire to huddle to, and one of the nights we were treated with local barbecue and a dance. Everything was a delight. The game drivers are also a delight with their stories, knowledge and funny jokes, Nigel and Mr. B are amazing hosts, making sure everyone is comfortable and going out there to find the great animals and birds for us. The game drives in Hwange were amazing! We saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeasts, buffalos, impalas, koudos, warthogs, crocodiles, hippos, amazing birds! We missed the lions and leopards by minutes but it was okay. Makes us want to come back again. The sunset drive was also a delight with Nigel, including a stop for a snack. Our driver back to the hotel was also a great delight with his incredible stories and knowledge. I learned so much about the animals in these 3 days. The tour has lived up to our expectations and more! Mr. Tongesai also took care of our requests for a Sunset Cruise and an Elephant Ride as soon as we reached the hotel. Less than half an hour, Mr. Tongesai arranged us to be picked up to go to a Sunset Cruise on the evening we arrived from the safari. The cruise was a delight, the sunset on the Zambezi river was amazing and the service on board was great, great food and beverages, Zambezi beer of course! The Elephant Ride arranged by Mr. Tongesai was also an amazing adventure I will never ever forget. Riding my elephant Detema with the driver Tunzi was amazing, against the sunrise backdrop, amazing colours in the sky. The lady that accompanied us taking pictures, she did such a great jobs, I love my pictures on the elephant! The feeding and petting the elephants after the ride was another amazing experience! These elephants are such a delight, sucking fiercely the food in our hands! I simply loved it! Then they served us a delicious breakfast while watching our beautiful pictures on the elephant. I learned so much about elephants with my driver. Everything in this place, this tour, the people and the animals, is amazing, unbelievable, unforgettable! I love Vic Falls, Hwange, Zimbabwe! I hope to come back and I will definitely tell all my friends that they have to have this experience in their bucket list. And it is easy, just reach out to Mr. Tongesai and Cultural Vibes, they will take great good care of you! You will love them! We thank Mr. Tongesai and everyone at Cultural Vibes, Miombo Safari Camp, Sunset Cruise, Elephant Ride, who made us have the time of our life!"

"Cultural Vibes Travel and Tours has proved to be excellent yet again as this is now the third time, we have used them and a much-needed break after almost 3 years with the Covid pandemic. Tongesai is extremely reliable, professional, knowledgeable and does everything to make your trip a memorable experience. Compared to local larger companies, Tongesai’s individual package rates are more reasonable and come with a customized touch. We felt that our holiday with Tongesai was much better and suited us more so than if we had booked through a larger company. His individual tailoring, personal involvement and attention to detail pays off in the smooth running of your trip. Our visits to the Victoria Falls, both sides from Zimbabwe and Zambia were magnificent and never cease to amaze us. On this trip Tongesai arranged for a private sunset cruise on the Zambezi just for our family of four instead of on the larger vessels, which was a very pleasant alternative. The boat trip in Chobe is magical and a must if you venture into Botswana. Wildlife was in abundance, including lion, elephant, wildebeest, buffalo, puku, kudu, bushbuck, waterbuck, impala, gemsbok, steenbok, sable and roan antelope, etc. We even saw a relative of Cecil, the famous black-maned lion, ‘once a true king of Hwange National Park’. I have no hesitation in recommending the company for arranging tours in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana - we will definitely be seeing him again. He is currently setting up arrangements with colleagues in Kruger National Park to venture into South Africa and I wish him every success with that."

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"My travel companions and I chose the 4 day experience. Technically it is really a 3 day experience, because the last day they provide airport transportation. I feel they go above and beyond in making sure they are providing their customers with a safe, exciting and exceptional experience. Gari was our driver/guide in Zimbabwe, and was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Gari either made sure we were where we needed to be or provided his own guide trip to the Victoria Falls. He even provided the rain gear, which is most necessary. Gari and his "boss" Mr T. went above and beyond when Delta postponed our flight by a day, by helping to make sure that the connecting airline would change our reservation. They then made sure we got to the airport on time, a day later. They are always willing to provide any additional things that you would like to see and do. If you looking for a guided tour company, this is the one to use, and one that I would have no hesitation in using again."
