A five-day Hwange safari can cost $2,630 per person sharing in 2027, before international flights. That price includes a stay at Nehimba Safari Lodge, scenic flights, transfers, and safari activities. [5]
A 5-day Hwange safari in 2027 costs from $2,630 per person sharing for the listed Nehimba Safari Lodge experience. Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe's largest national park. The itinerary suits travelers who want several game drives, lodge time, and scenic air transfers without committing to a full week.
How Much Is a 5-Day Hwange Safari in 2027? Itinerary planning starts with one clear figure. The listed five-day Hwange Safari Experience costs $2,630 per person sharing. It uses Nehimba Safari Lodge in Hwange National Park and includes scenic flights, transfers, and safari activities. [5]
Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe's largest national park. [2] That scale gives a five-day trip room for several wildlife outings without making the schedule feel rushed. Still, the final cost depends on what the package includes. International flights sit outside the listed price, and night drives need careful checking before you book.
A five-day Hwange safari is a good middle ground. Three or four days can feel short once travel takes time. Seven days give you more space, but the price can rise sharply. SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, package details, and authentic reviews. Use those details to compare the real value behind each 2027 rate.
Quick answer: A five-day Hwange safari costs $2,630 per person sharing in the listed 2027 Nehimba Safari Lodge package. Scenic flights, transfers, and safari activities are included. International flights are extra. Check night-drive access, lodge services, and the full transfer plan before paying a deposit. [5]
A 5-day Hwange safari itinerary is a short wildlife trip based in Hwange National Park. The listed experience places guests at Nehimba Safari Lodge and combines scenic flights with safari activities. The plan is designed for travelers who want a complete park visit in less than one week. [5]
Hwange National Park is the core destination. Zimbabwe's largest national park gives the itinerary its wildlife focus. [2] A lodge-based plan also keeps the trip simple. You unpack once, follow the lodge schedule, and spend the main part of each day on safari activities.
Nehimba Safari Lodge is the named base for the $2,630 package. The listed rate is per person sharing. That wording usually means two guests share accommodation, so solo travelers should check the single-room price before booking. The package page should also confirm meal plans and any park charges.
The flight element matters because it can reduce long road transfers. It also adds a different view of the park. However, you should ask which flight legs the package covers. “Scenic flights” can mean a short sightseeing flight, an air transfer, or both. The written itinerary should make that clear before you commit.
Night drives need the same care. A SafariFind listing puts 2027 Hwange night-drive packages at about $1,585 per person per night. [4] That figure is much higher than a simple add-on may be, so ask whether it covers a private vehicle, guide, lodge stay, or a wider package.
Five days gives you time to settle in and take more than one safari outing. It also leaves room for weather delays and transfer changes. That balance matters in a large park, where a rushed trip can turn into a long transport day with little time outside the vehicle.
For a longer stay, compare the Hwange safari packages 2027 first-timer guide. It helps place the five-day price beside longer trip plans and common booking questions.
Explore verified Zimbabwe safari packages for a five-day Hwange trip and compare operators before you request a quote.
A 5-day Hwange safari costs from $2,630 per person sharing for the listed Nehimba Safari Lodge experience in 2027. The rate includes scenic flights, transfers, and safari activities, but it excludes international flights. Treat $2,630 as a clear planning benchmark, not a complete door-to-door holiday cost. [5]
Hwange prices cover a wide spread. A six-day Victoria Falls and Hwange tour is listed from $2,444 per person. [6] That longer trip costs less than the five-day Nehimba experience in the listed examples, which shows why you must compare inclusions rather than count days alone.
A seven-day Hwange safari estimate ranges from $2,444 to $8,793 per person. Private six-guest houses can reach $20,020. [4] These figures show how lodge level, privacy, vehicle type, and added services can change the total. A lower price may include fewer premium services or a different travel plan.
| Package or benchmark | Price per person | Duration | Useful planning point |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5-Day Hwange Safari Experience | From $2,630 | 5 days | Nehimba Safari Lodge, scenic flights, transfers, and safari activities [5] |
| Victoria Falls and Hwange | From $2,444 | 6 days | Combines Zimbabwe's two named attractions in one tour [6] |
| Hwange safari estimate | $2,444 to $8,793 | 7 days | Useful range for comparing lodge and trip styles [4] |
| Southern Africa safari, May 22 to June 4, 2027 | $4,499 | 14 days | Includes Hwange, Victoria Falls, Kruger, and Chobe [8] |
| Southern Africa safari, June 5 to June 18, 2027 | $4,699 | 14 days | Includes Hwange, Victoria Falls, Kruger, and Chobe [8] |
Package inclusions drive the real value. Compare these items line by line:
Night drives deserve special attention. They are not always part of Hwange safari packages. [4] Ask for the exact schedule and cost. A package that lists evening activity may offer a lodge drive rather than a dedicated night drive. That difference affects both wildlife viewing and your budget.
Use SafariFind to compare packages that match your budget, duration, and preferred lodge style. Compare Hwange lodge rates for 2027, then request quotes from verified operators with the same trip length.
The five-day itinerary centers on a lodge stay, scenic flights, transfers, and safari activities. The listed package does not provide a full day-by-day schedule in the supplied details, so the safest plan is to confirm each travel day, game-drive period, and flight segment in writing before booking. [5]
Day one should cover your arrival into the Hwange travel plan and transfer to Nehimba Safari Lodge. Confirm the meeting point, baggage rules, and flight timing. If the scenic flight forms part of the arrival transfer, ask how long the flight lasts and where the aircraft lands.
Your first day may feel busy after international travel. Keep your luggage light and pack binoculars, sun protection, and a refillable water bottle in your day bag. Ask the operator when the first safari activity begins, so you can plan rest without missing the main outing.
Day two is the first full day to settle into the park rhythm. Ask whether the package offers a morning drive, an afternoon drive, or another lodge activity. The exact timing affects what you pack and how much time you spend in the vehicle.
Hwange National Park is the main wildlife setting for the trip. [2] A full day can also help your guide respond to recent sightings. Wildlife movement changes each day, so a flexible schedule often works better than a fixed list of sightings.
Day three is a useful place to schedule a scenic flight if it does not form part of your transfer. The package lists scenic flights and safari activities as included. [5] Ask whether the flight is shared or private, and confirm the aircraft baggage limit before departure.
Combine the flight with another safari activity when timing allows. That gives you a ground view and an aerial view of the park. It also breaks up the trip, which helps if you prefer more variety than repeated vehicle drives.
Day four should remain flexible. You can use it for another game drive, a lodge activity, or a night-drive option if the operator confirms availability. Night drives are not automatic in every package, so do not assume the evening plan is included. [4]
Ask three direct questions. Is the night drive included? Is it shared or private? What time does it leave and return? Clear answers protect your budget and prevent a late change to the itinerary.
Day five normally combines a final safari activity with the transfer out. Confirm the departure time before your last evening. If a scenic flight covers the exit, ask when the aircraft leaves and where you connect to onward travel.
The five-day format works best when you treat the final day as a travel day. Avoid booking a tight international connection after the lodge transfer. Build time for weather, aircraft changes, and road delays, even when transfers are included.
For a longer daily plan, read the seven-day Zimbabwe safari itinerary for 2027. It offers a useful contrast with the shorter five-day format.
Book a 5-day Hwange safari by checking the price, inclusions, lodge, flights, transfers, and night-drive terms together. Start with the $2,630 per person sharing benchmark, then ask what changes for your travel dates, room type, and arrival route. [5]
A lodge-based five-day safari suits travelers who want a focused Hwange stay. A Victoria Falls and Hwange trip suits travelers who want two Zimbabwe highlights in one booking. The six-day combined tour starts at $2,444 per person in the listed example. [6]
A multi-country trip suits travelers who want broader coverage. The 14-day Southern Africa itinerary includes Hwange, Victoria Falls, Kruger, and Chobe. It is priced at $4,499 for May 22 to June 4, 2027, and $4,699 for June 5 to June 18, 2027. [8]
The cheapest daily rate is not always the best fit. A package with flights and transfers included may save planning time. A cheaper road-based trip may work better if you want to control transport costs. Compare the same details across each quote before choosing.
SafariFind lets you compare verified operators, package details, and authentic traveler reviews in one place. Review first-timer Hwange costs and tips before you request a quote. Then ask each operator the same questions, so the answers are easy to compare.
A 5-day Hwange safari costs from $2,630 per person sharing in the listed 2027 Nehimba Safari Lodge experience. Scenic flights, transfers, and safari activities are included. International flights are excluded, so add those costs to your total holiday budget. [5]
What is included in the 5-day Hwange Safari Experience? The listed five-day Hwange Safari Experience includes accommodation at Nehimba Safari Lodge, scenic flights, transfers, and safari activities. The package price is quoted per person sharing. Confirm meals, park fees, drinks, and any night-drive costs before booking. [5]
Is Hwange National Park worth five days?Five days gives you a focused stay in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe's largest national park. [2] The length allows time for several safari activities, lodge time, and included transfers or scenic flights. It suits travelers who want more depth than a short stop.
Are night drives included in Hwange safari packages?Night drives are not included in every Hwange safari package. One 2027 SafariFind listing puts night-drive packages at about $1,585 per person per night. Ask whether the activity is shared, private, lodge-based, or part of the main itinerary. [4]
Is a Victoria Falls and Hwange safari cheaper than five days?A listed six-day Victoria Falls and Hwange tour starts at $2,444 per person. [6] That price is lower than the $2,630 five-day Nehimba experience, but the inclusions may differ. Compare lodging, flights, transfers, meals, and safari activities before deciding.

[5] That makes it a clear starting point for a focused Zimbabwe wildlife trip.
Compare it with the six-day Victoria Falls and Hwange tour from $2,444 per person. [6] Consider the 14-day Southern Africa option if you want Hwange, Victoria Falls, Kruger, and Chobe in one journey. Its listed 2027 prices are $4,499 and $4,699 for two June departure windows. [8]

"Booking the safari at Miombo Safari Camp with Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours was easy and they answer all our questions thoroughly and in a timely fashion. We communicated through email, payment was easy too through email. There was no availability for the Hwange safari camp on the dates we requested but Mr. Tongesai managed to find us another safari camp, Miombo, which was a delightful place whilst honoring the rates offered at their website. Mr. Tongesai made sure we were picked up and driven to the camp, accompanying us on the 2-hour trip and later receiving us back at our hotel. Miombo's accommodations, the tent, was like camping with glamour. It was spacious with 2 comfortable single beds and charming decoration. The ensuite bathroom felt like we were in the woods but protected and with the comforts of a good hotel. The hot water in the shower was not working but Mr. Bernard, Miombo's host, made sure it was fixed by the time we came back from the afternoon game drive. The tent was right in front of a water hole, which depending on the season, would have received the visit of elephants. We didn't see any animals there but one night a leopard came to our camp. Unfortunately, we didn't see it as we slept safely under the watch of night guards. They also made sure we were escorted back and forth during the night between our tent and the common area. Mr. Bernard served delicious meals in the beautiful open common area viewing the forest and sometimes with a visit of monkeys. The dessert was always delicious! At night we had a bonfire to huddle to, and one of the nights we were treated with local barbecue and a dance. Everything was a delight. The game drivers are also a delight with their stories, knowledge and funny jokes, Nigel and Mr. B are amazing hosts, making sure everyone is comfortable and going out there to find the great animals and birds for us. The game drives in Hwange were amazing! We saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeasts, buffalos, impalas, koudos, warthogs, crocodiles, hippos, amazing birds! We missed the lions and leopards by minutes but it was okay. Makes us want to come back again. The sunset drive was also a delight with Nigel, including a stop for a snack. Our driver back to the hotel was also a great delight with his incredible stories and knowledge. I learned so much about the animals in these 3 days. The tour has lived up to our expectations and more! Mr. Tongesai also took care of our requests for a Sunset Cruise and an Elephant Ride as soon as we reached the hotel. Less than half an hour, Mr. Tongesai arranged us to be picked up to go to a Sunset Cruise on the evening we arrived from the safari. The cruise was a delight, the sunset on the Zambezi river was amazing and the service on board was great, great food and beverages, Zambezi beer of course! The Elephant Ride arranged by Mr. Tongesai was also an amazing adventure I will never ever forget. Riding my elephant Detema with the driver Tunzi was amazing, against the sunrise backdrop, amazing colours in the sky. The lady that accompanied us taking pictures, she did such a great jobs, I love my pictures on the elephant! The feeding and petting the elephants after the ride was another amazing experience! These elephants are such a delight, sucking fiercely the food in our hands! I simply loved it! Then they served us a delicious breakfast while watching our beautiful pictures on the elephant. I learned so much about elephants with my driver. Everything in this place, this tour, the people and the animals, is amazing, unbelievable, unforgettable! I love Vic Falls, Hwange, Zimbabwe! I hope to come back and I will definitely tell all my friends that they have to have this experience in their bucket list. And it is easy, just reach out to Mr. Tongesai and Cultural Vibes, they will take great good care of you! You will love them! We thank Mr. Tongesai and everyone at Cultural Vibes, Miombo Safari Camp, Sunset Cruise, Elephant Ride, who made us have the time of our life!"

"Cultural Vibes Travel and Tours has proved to be excellent yet again as this is now the third time, we have used them and a much-needed break after almost 3 years with the Covid pandemic. Tongesai is extremely reliable, professional, knowledgeable and does everything to make your trip a memorable experience. Compared to local larger companies, Tongesai’s individual package rates are more reasonable and come with a customized touch. We felt that our holiday with Tongesai was much better and suited us more so than if we had booked through a larger company. His individual tailoring, personal involvement and attention to detail pays off in the smooth running of your trip. Our visits to the Victoria Falls, both sides from Zimbabwe and Zambia were magnificent and never cease to amaze us. On this trip Tongesai arranged for a private sunset cruise on the Zambezi just for our family of four instead of on the larger vessels, which was a very pleasant alternative. The boat trip in Chobe is magical and a must if you venture into Botswana. Wildlife was in abundance, including lion, elephant, wildebeest, buffalo, puku, kudu, bushbuck, waterbuck, impala, gemsbok, steenbok, sable and roan antelope, etc. We even saw a relative of Cecil, the famous black-maned lion, ‘once a true king of Hwange National Park’. I have no hesitation in recommending the company for arranging tours in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana - we will definitely be seeing him again. He is currently setting up arrangements with colleagues in Kruger National Park to venture into South Africa and I wish him every success with that."

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"My travel companions and I chose the 4 day experience. Technically it is really a 3 day experience, because the last day they provide airport transportation. I feel they go above and beyond in making sure they are providing their customers with a safe, exciting and exceptional experience. Gari was our driver/guide in Zimbabwe, and was friendly, helpful, and courteous. Gari either made sure we were where we needed to be or provided his own guide trip to the Victoria Falls. He even provided the rain gear, which is most necessary. Gari and his "boss" Mr T. went above and beyond when Delta postponed our flight by a day, by helping to make sure that the connecting airline would change our reservation. They then made sure we got to the airport on time, a day later. They are always willing to provide any additional things that you would like to see and do. If you looking for a guided tour company, this is the one to use, and one that I would have no hesitation in using again."
