"Our 2026 trip to Ethiopia was a memorable adventure through some of the country’s most distinctive destinations: Chebera Churchura National Park, the Bale Mountains, the Danakil Depression, and the Omo Valley. The Danakil Depression was completely different, with its unusual landscapes, striking colours, and fascinating volcanic environment. It was a challenging but worthwhile part of our adventure and a reminder of how diverse Ethiopia’s geography can be. In the Omo Valley, we enjoyed discovering the region’s cultural diversity and learning about the traditions and everyday lives of its different communities. The experience gave us a greater appreciation of the people and cultures that make this part of Ethiopia so distinctive.
