Etosha night drive prices in 2027 start with a reported N$1,520 per person sharing for a full-day game drive, while a Sundowner Drive is listed at N$485 per person sharing. A 13-day Namibia overland tour includes an Etosha National Park night game drive and starts at R76,000. Compare package details before booking, because a night drive may sit inside a larger safari price.
Etosha night drive prices 2027: What Packages Include is a planning question with two parts. You need the activity rate. You also need the full package cost. A drive can appear as a separate add-on, or it can sit inside a multi-day Namibia itinerary.
Etosha National Park is one of the main wildlife stops in Namibia. Travelers often compare short guided drives with longer tours that include transport, rooms, meals, and several activities. That comparison matters because the cheapest listed drive does not always represent the final trip cost.
The reported 2027 full-day game-drive price is N$1,520 per person sharing [5]. The reported Sundowner Drive price is N$485 per person sharing [5]. These figures give you useful benchmarks, but they describe different activities. A full-day drive covers a longer outing. A sundowner drive is a shorter evening experience.
Etosha Village lists a 2026 morning game drive from sunrise until about 12:30 at N$1,390 per person sharing [5]. Its 2026 full-day drive runs from sunrise until about 15:00 and costs N$1,650 per person sharing [5]. These 2026 rates help show how guided drives can differ by length, but they are not 2027 prices.
Etosha is known for guided wildlife viewing, long road-based game drives, and evening activities sold through lodges or tour companies. The package structure matters as much as the activity name. A quote may include one drive, several drives, park entry, and accommodation. Another may list only the vehicle activity.
Foreign adults pay NAD 280 per person per day for park entry. SADC adults pay NAD 180, and Namibian adults pay NAD 60 [1]. Children under 16 are listed as free for park entry [1]. A vehicle with up to 10 seats costs NAD 60 per day, while a vehicle with 11 to 25 seats costs NAD 150 [1].
These fees create a second cost layer. If your package lists a drive price but excludes park entry, you need to add the correct daily fee. The vehicle charge may also appear separately. Read the wording closely before comparing two offers.
Compare Etosha safari packages with night-drive options and check each inclusion before requesting a quote.
Etosha night drive packages include different items depending on the operator and trip length. The clearest way to compare them is to separate the guided activity from the costs around it. Look for the drive itself, park entry, transport, accommodation, meals, guide service, and any extra activity.
Etosha night drive packages are often easier to understand when you use a simple checklist. Start with the activity name. Then check its time, group basis, and price. “Per person sharing” usually means two people share the booking basis or room arrangement, so solo travelers should ask how the rate applies to them.
The listed N$485 Sundowner Drive is a useful example of a shorter activity price [5]. The listed N$1,520 full-day game-drive figure gives a higher comparison point [5]. Neither number should automatically be treated as the full price of a complete Namibia holiday.
A longer safari package may include rooms, meals, transfers, park entry, and more than one game drive. A 13-day Namibia overland tour includes an Etosha National Park night game drive and starts from R76,000 [6]. That package places the night drive inside a wider itinerary rather than selling it as a stand-alone activity.
The same tour also shows why duration changes the price. A 13-day trip can include road transport, several destinations, guides, accommodation, and activities beyond Etosha. You should compare the full itinerary, not divide the total by one activity and call that the night-drive cost.
| Product or fee | Price | What it represents |
|---|---|---|
| Sundowner Drive | N$485 per person sharing | Shorter evening activity [5] |
| 2027 full-day game drive | N$1,520 per person sharing | Reported full-day activity figure [5] |
| 2026 morning game drive | N$1,390 per person sharing | Sunrise to about 12:30 [5] |
| 2026 full-day game drive | N$1,650 per person sharing | Sunrise to about 15:00 [5] |
| 13-day Namibia overland tour | From R76,000 | Includes an Etosha night game drive [6] |
The table shows why labels matter. The N$485 figure is an evening activity. The N$1,520 figure is a reported full-day rate. The R76,000 figure covers a long tour. These products should not compete in the same price column without their duration and inclusions.
For a closer match, read the Etosha National Park packages guide for 2027. It can help you place a night drive inside a wider first-time itinerary.
Request quotes from verified safari operators for Etosha packages with clear inclusions before choosing the lowest headline rate.
Compare Etosha night drive prices by checking the same cost items in every quote. Use the activity rate, park entry, vehicle fee, lodging, meals, transfers, and trip length. A fair comparison keeps the same currency, traveler count, room type, and number of drives.
A “night game drive” and a “Sundowner Drive” may describe different products. The Sundowner Drive price is listed at N$485 per person sharing [5]. The full-day game-drive figure is reported at N$1,520 per person sharing for 2027 [5]. Ask the operator to state the exact activity in the quote.
Drive length affects value. Etosha Village lists its morning drive from sunrise until about 12:30 [5]. Its full-day drive runs from sunrise until about 15:00 [5]. A night drive needs its own start and finish times, plus a clear meeting point and return plan.
Foreign adults pay NAD 280 per person per day for Etosha entry [1]. SADC adults pay NAD 180, while Namibian adults pay NAD 60 [1]. Children under 16 are listed as free for park entry [1]. These rates apply per person per day, so the number of park days matters.
The vehicle fee is separate in the published fee list. Vehicles with up to 10 seats cost NAD 60 per day. Vehicles with 11 to 25 seats cost NAD 150 per day [1]. A quote that includes transport may already absorb this cost, so check the line items.
Accommodation can change the total more than one short drive. Ask whether the package includes a lodge, campsite, breakfast, dinner, drinks, and transfers. A four-day Etosha package listing includes accommodation, breakfast, and dinner, while flights, pre-trip lodging, drinks, and gratuities are excluded [8].
This example shows why “package included” needs a careful reading. Meals may cover breakfast and dinner but not lunch. Drinks may cost extra. Flights may sit outside the safari price. A clear quote saves you from adding surprise costs later.
Several Namibia products use date bands for 2027. One self-drive itinerary lists periods from July through December 2027 [7]. Use the exact travel dates when you compare prices. A quote for one month may not apply to another month.
Travelers planning 2027 should ask for current availability and written inclusions. The clearest rate today is the reported N$1,520 full-day figure [5]. The final package cost depends on what the operator places around that activity.
The Namibia safari lodge rate guide for 2027 is useful when accommodation is the largest part of your budget.
Plan an Etosha night drive by choosing the trip length first, then matching the activity to your budget. A short activity suits travelers already staying near Etosha. A longer tour suits travelers who want transport, lodging, meals, and several Namibia stops in one booking.
A short drive works well when your route already includes Etosha. You can compare the N$485 Sundowner Drive with the reported N$1,520 full-day figure [5]. The difference reflects the activity type and length. Keep park entry and vehicle fees in the same budget sheet.
A 13-day Namibia overland tour starts from R76,000 and includes an Etosha National Park night game drive [6]. This format suits travelers who want one booking for a wider route. It can also reduce the work of arranging each hotel, transfer, and activity separately.
The trade-off is flexibility. A long group itinerary sets the route and schedule. A short drive gives you more control over lodging and travel dates. Neither format is automatically better. Your choice depends on how much planning you want to do yourself.
Getting there depends on the wider Namibia itinerary. Travelers may reach Etosha as part of a self-drive trip, a guided safari, or an overland tour. A self-drive product covering Etosha and Damaraland lists 2027 travel periods from July through December [7].
Do not treat a night drive as a simple add-on until you confirm the meeting point. The package should state where the activity starts, how you reach it, and whether transfers are included. This detail matters when your lodge sits outside the park area.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic reviews. Use those details to compare the promise in a package with the experience described by past travelers. A clear booking is worth more than a low number that leaves out park fees or meals.
For wider route planning, the 5-day Namibia safari itinerary and cost guide can help you decide whether Etosha belongs in a short trip or a longer circuit.
The reported 2027 full-day game-drive price is N$1,520 per person sharing [5]. A Sundowner Drive is listed at N$485 per person sharing [5]. These figures describe separate activities, so check whether park entry, transport, meals, and accommodation are included.
Etosha park entry may appear as a separate package cost. Foreign adults pay NAD 280 per person per day, SADC adults pay NAD 180, and Namibian adults pay NAD 60 [1]. Check the quote for entry fees and vehicle charges before booking.
An Etosha night drive package can include the guided activity, vehicle, guide, park entry, accommodation, meals, and transfers. The exact inclusions depend on the product. A 13-day Namibia overland tour includes an Etosha night game drive and starts from R76,000 [6].
The supplied 2027 figure of N$1,520 per person sharing is reported as a full-day game-drive price [5]. It should not be treated as a confirmed stand-alone night-drive rate. Ask for the activity name, start time, finish time, and inclusions in writing.
Children under 16 are listed as free of charge for Etosha park entry [1]. The activity operator may apply separate rules for seats, meals, accommodation, or guided drives. Check the full family package rather than applying the park entry rule to every cost.
You can compare Etosha packages on SafariFind, read authentic traveler reviews, and request a quote from verified operators. Compare the activity price with park entry, lodging, meals, transport, and trip length before choosing a 2027 package.
Etosha night drive prices in 2027 need a package-by-package comparison. The clearest reported activity figures are N$485 per person sharing for a Sundowner Drive and N$1,520 per person sharing for a full-day game drive [5]. A 13-day Namibia overland tour offers a wider option from R76,000 and includes an Etosha National Park night game drive [6].
Use the N$1,520 figure as a starting benchmark, not a complete holiday price. Add foreign adult park entry at NAD 280 per day [1]. Then check vehicle fees, lodging, meals, transfers, drinks, and gratuities. A short drive may suit an existing Etosha route. A longer tour may suit travelers who want one planned itinerary.

"Tongesai was recommended to me by a friend who also booked his amazing safari through Cultural Vibes; I am glad we took his recommendation. Our safari across Victoria Falls and Botswana was top notch. Tongesai booked us in all of the best camps and with the best safari outfitters. Our excursions were extremely well planned and full of excitement. The restaurants were fantastic as well. Personally, I love planning my own vacations but honestly don't think there is an easy and reliable way to plan an African safari without using a travel agent very familiar with the region. Located in Zimbabwe and with a travel and tourism background, Tongesai was able to coordinate our stays between 5 safari camps which included private charter flights across the regions. He also personally escorted us into Botswana and helped with border crossing which was very helpful as well. Compared to larger companies, Tongesai's package rates were more reasonable and came with a customized touch. I highly recommend Cultural Vibes to anyone looking to go on safari in Zimbabwe and its bordering countries (Botswana, Zambia & Namibia). Thanks, T!"
"We were amazing group of 4 adults from Atlanta USA. Upon arrival we found our guide Stuart Muronga already waiting for us. He picked us up in a well air-conditioned vehicle and offered us water at soft drinks. Before going to check in we drove around the beautiful city . After checking in he dropped us off at the famous Boma restaurant..we had an amazing experience there over delicious meals and drums and dance. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. The next morning he picked us up for out safari experience in Chobe which is in Botswana just an hour drive from Vic Falls. We spent 6 hrs there then drove another 40 or so minutes to some island in Namibia. Stuart was so knowledgeable with great communication skills which made the whole experience so smooth and fun."
"I would like to note an excellent organisation of this tour. In advance Kubwa Five Safaris created whats app groupe for me so I had contacts of people who assisted me during my travel. I was picked up at the airport. My guide was waiting for me. The accommodations chosen for this trip were correct, clean with good service. The choice of restaurants corresponded the rate of this tour. We visited wonderfull places with beautiful landscapes, I enjoyed game drive and visit of Etosha parc. My driver was a professional guide, so I had explanations on historical events, culture, geology, flore and faune of the sites that we visited. Kubwa Five Safaris chose reliable partners in Namibia, that made my trip safe and I would like to thank them for that."
"We planned a 10 day tour to see the best of namibia we personalised the tour to what we wanted to see.we had an issue with our flight but Sylvia replanned the tour on 9 days so we missed nothing very very appreciated since it wasn't their responsibility and could have simply made us skip the first day.the tour was fantastic we got to see everything we wanted to see. Wildlife and the landscape that are something of incredible. Our guide John was excellent 👏 really very prepared giving al the info of the diffrent places people, Wildlife towns...."
"Our trip around Namibia was booked through Kubwa Five Safaris, main contact was Sylvia (from their sister company Ompo Travel). Everything was organised perfectly, Sylvia listened to our needs and constantly adapted the trip according to our (many) changes of mind, to ensure we could get the best out of it, both in terms of things to do and accommodations where to stay; but she also added her local know-how to advise our decisions on what really worth seeing and what to skip (given the limited time of two weeks). She was also very responsive, both prior the trip as well as during the trip, taking immediate action if needed (only once, due to a misunderstanding on the check-out from a lodge). Namibia is an amazing place with plenty of wilderness and photo opportunities, and we have enjoyed it fully!"
