Etosha National Park entry fees in 2027 are listed at N$280 per foreign adult per day, N$180 for SADC adults, and N$60 for Namibian adults. Children under 16 enter free, while vehicle fees start at N$60 per day. Add camping, lodging, and game drives to build your full Namibia safari budget.
Etosha National Park entry fees 2027: safari costs begin with the daily gate charge, not the full tour price. The park sits in northern Namibia and suits travelers who want wildlife, open roads, and flexible trip plans. You can drive your own rental vehicle, join a guided trip, or book a private tour.
Etosha National Park is known for its large salt pan, dry woodland, open grassland, and wildlife waterholes. The exact cost of your visit depends on nationality, vehicle size, nights inside or near the park, and the type of game drive you choose.
Quick answer: A foreign adult should budget N$280 per day for park entry in 2027, plus N$60 for a vehicle with 10 seats or fewer. Camping at Etosha Safari Camp is listed at N$360 per person from January through October 2027. Guided drives cost extra, so compare the full package rather than only the gate fee.
This guide separates park fees from accommodation and activity costs. It also explains how to plan a Namibia self drive safari without missing small charges. Rates can change, so confirm the final amount with the park, lodge, or operator before payment.
Etosha National Park entry fees are daily conservation and access charges paid at the gate. For 2027 planning, the published schedule lists N$280 per foreign adult per day, N$180 per SADC adult per day, and N$60 per Namibian adult per day. Children under 16 enter free of charge [1].
Foreign visitors pay the highest listed adult rate. SADC residents pay a lower regional rate, while Namibian citizens pay the local adult rate. These categories matter when you plan a group because the charge applies per adult, per day.
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Foreign adult park entry | N$280 | Per person, per day | Not applicable | International visitors |
| SADC adult park entry | N$180 | Per person, per day | Not applicable | SADC residents |
| Namibian adult park entry | N$60 | Per person, per day | Not applicable | Namibian citizens |
| Child park entry | Free | Under 16 | Not applicable | Families with children |
Vehicle charges are separate from personal entry fees. A vehicle with 10 seats or fewer costs N$60 per day. Vehicles with 11 to 25 seats cost N$150 per day, while vehicles with 26 to 50 seats cost N$600 per day [1].
These charges make group size important. A family in one small rental vehicle pays a different vehicle fee from a large coach group. Count both people and seats before you estimate your daily Etosha safari cost.
Known for: Etosha National Park is a self-drive friendly destination with waterholes and marked routes. Best for: independent travelers, families, photographers, and small groups who want control over their daily pace.
Compare Etosha safari packages for your 2027 travel dates and review what each operator includes before requesting a quote.
The gate fee is only one part of a safari budget. It does not automatically include accommodation, fuel, meals, rental insurance, guide services, or transfers. A low advertised package price may exclude some of these costs.
For a clear comparison, ask whether the quote includes park entry for every day. Also ask if it includes the vehicle fee, a driver-guide, lodge nights, and airport transfers. SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, so you can compare inclusions and read authentic traveler reviews.
The full Etosha safari cost includes entry, transport, accommodation, and activities. In 2027, a basic planning formula is: daily park entry plus vehicle charge, then camping or lodging, meals, fuel, and any guided drive. This method keeps the gate fee visible and prevents an incomplete budget.
Etosha Safari Camp lists January to October 2027 camping at N$360 per person. The same published rate sheet lists shared double, twin, triple, or family-room bed-and-breakfast accommodation at N$1,980 per person. A single-room bed-and-breakfast rate is N$2,475 per person [2].
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Etosha Safari Camp camping | N$360 | Per person, per night | Not provided | Budget and self-drive travelers |
| Shared bed and breakfast | N$1,980 | Per person, per night | Not provided | Couples, friends, and families |
| Single-room bed and breakfast | N$2,475 | Per person, per night | Not provided | Solo travelers |
Each campsite at Etosha Safari Camp accommodates a maximum of 8 people [2]. That limit helps groups plan tents, vehicles, and shared supplies. A larger party may need more than one campsite, so confirm space before you travel.
Etosha Village lists a 2026 morning game drive at N$1,390 per person sharing. Its full-day game drive is listed at N$1,650 per person sharing for 2026 [4]. These rates are useful planning benchmarks, but they are not confirmed 2027 prices.
A morning drive runs from sunrise until about 12:30. The listed full-day drive runs from sunrise until about 15:00 [4]. Ask the operator whether the drive includes park entry, refreshments, meals, and hotel transfers.
Price range: The verified figures in this guide range from N$60 for a Namibian adult entry fee to N$2,475 for a single-room bed-and-breakfast night. A complete 2027 safari total cannot be stated without your trip length, nationality, transport choice, and accommodation type.
Compare like with like. A self-drive package may show vehicle hire and lodging but leave out fuel and park fees. A private escorted tour may cost more, yet include a guide, transport, meals, and planned activities.
Compare 2027 Etosha safari prices with park fees included before you choose between camping, lodge stays, and guided drives.
For wider route planning, read the Etosha National Park safari packages guide. Travelers who want a longer route can also compare the 10-day Namibia self-drive itinerary and cost guide.
An Etosha self-drive safari starts with a route, a vehicle, and a daily fee check. Choose the number of park days first. Then match your entry fees, vehicle charge, campsites, fuel plan, and food supplies to that schedule.
Namibia self drive safari trips give you control over stops and viewing time. You can leave early, pause at waterholes, and return to camp when you choose. However, you must manage fuel, food, navigation, gate times, and vehicle safety yourself.
Start by listing every person in your group. Mark each traveler as foreign adult, SADC adult, Namibian adult, or child under 16. Next, identify the vehicle seat range. This simple step gives you a more accurate daily entry estimate.
Book accommodation early for your preferred 2027 dates. Published rates show that camping and bed-and-breakfast stays use very different price points. Therefore, your room choice can affect the total more than the daily foreign adult entry fee.
Keep a separate line for park entry. Do not assume a lodge rate includes the gate charge. Also keep a second line for vehicle fees. This makes it easier to compare a rental car plan with an escorted safari.
Getting there: Etosha itineraries can be arranged as self-drive safaris or private escorted tours [8]. Your operator can help link Etosha with other stops across Namibia, including Deadvlei, the Naukluft Mountains, or Brandberg.
Self-drive is best for confident drivers who enjoy flexible days. A private escorted tour is best for travelers who prefer a guide, planned transport, and less trip management. Both styles can support wildlife viewing, but the included services differ.
Safari luxus Namibia trips usually focus on premium rooms, private guiding, and a smooth route. Do not judge luxury by the word alone. Ask for the room type, number of private drives, park fees, meals, and transfers in writing.

Etosha National Park entry fees are listed at N$280 per foreign adult per day, N$180 per SADC adult, and N$60 per Namibian adult. Children under 16 enter free. These figures come from the published fee schedule and should be confirmed before travel [1].
The Etosha vehicle fee is N$60 per day for vehicles with 10 seats or fewer. Vehicles with 11 to 25 seats cost N$150, while vehicles with 26 to 50 seats cost N$600 per day [1].
Children under 16 enter Etosha National Park free of charge according to the published fee information [1]. Adults still pay the relevant foreign, SADC, or Namibian daily rate.
Camping at Etosha Safari Camp is listed at N$360 per person from January through October 2027 [2]. Each campsite accommodates a maximum of 8 people, so larger groups should confirm whether they need more than one site.
Guided game drives are separate from park entry fees unless a package clearly says otherwise. Etosha Village lists 2026 rates of N$1,390 per person sharing for a morning drive and N$1,650 for a full-day drive [4]. Request the 2027 rate in writing.

"Tongesai was recommended to me by a friend who also booked his amazing safari through Cultural Vibes; I am glad we took his recommendation. Our safari across Victoria Falls and Botswana was top notch. Tongesai booked us in all of the best camps and with the best safari outfitters. Our excursions were extremely well planned and full of excitement. The restaurants were fantastic as well. Personally, I love planning my own vacations but honestly don't think there is an easy and reliable way to plan an African safari without using a travel agent very familiar with the region. Located in Zimbabwe and with a travel and tourism background, Tongesai was able to coordinate our stays between 5 safari camps which included private charter flights across the regions. He also personally escorted us into Botswana and helped with border crossing which was very helpful as well. Compared to larger companies, Tongesai's package rates were more reasonable and came with a customized touch. I highly recommend Cultural Vibes to anyone looking to go on safari in Zimbabwe and its bordering countries (Botswana, Zambia & Namibia). Thanks, T!"

"We were amazing group of 4 adults from Atlanta USA. Upon arrival we found our guide Stuart Muronga already waiting for us. He picked us up in a well air-conditioned vehicle and offered us water at soft drinks. Before going to check in we drove around the beautiful city . After checking in he dropped us off at the famous Boma restaurant..we had an amazing experience there over delicious meals and drums and dance. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. The next morning he picked us up for out safari experience in Chobe which is in Botswana just an hour drive from Vic Falls. We spent 6 hrs there then drove another 40 or so minutes to some island in Namibia. Stuart was so knowledgeable with great communication skills which made the whole experience so smooth and fun."

"I would like to note an excellent organisation of this tour. In advance Kubwa Five Safaris created whats app groupe for me so I had contacts of people who assisted me during my travel. I was picked up at the airport. My guide was waiting for me. The accommodations chosen for this trip were correct, clean with good service. The choice of restaurants corresponded the rate of this tour. We visited wonderfull places with beautiful landscapes, I enjoyed game drive and visit of Etosha parc. My driver was a professional guide, so I had explanations on historical events, culture, geology, flore and faune of the sites that we visited. Kubwa Five Safaris chose reliable partners in Namibia, that made my trip safe and I would like to thank them for that."

"Our trip around Namibia was booked through Kubwa Five Safaris, main contact was Sylvia (from their sister company Ompo Travel). Everything was organised perfectly, Sylvia listened to our needs and constantly adapted the trip according to our (many) changes of mind, to ensure we could get the best out of it, both in terms of things to do and accommodations where to stay; but she also added her local know-how to advise our decisions on what really worth seeing and what to skip (given the limited time of two weeks). She was also very responsive, both prior the trip as well as during the trip, taking immediate action if needed (only once, due to a misunderstanding on the check-out from a lodge). Namibia is an amazing place with plenty of wilderness and photo opportunities, and we have enjoyed it fully!"
