Epupa Falls Namibia 2027 tours range from a N$465 guided Kunene River walk to luxury fly-in safaris from US$26,505 per person. The best planning window for a listed flying safari is June to October. You can reach Epupa by road from Opuwo, join a guided route from Ruacana, or book a lodge-based stay.
Epupa Falls Namibia 2027: Tour Packages, Routes & Prices guide travelers to one of northern Namibia's most remote river destinations. The falls sit along the Kunene River, close to the Angolan border. The area combines river views, walking routes, camps, lodges, and cultural travel.
Epupa Falls is not a single fixed safari product. You can choose a short activity, a road journey, a multi-day walking route, or a high-end flying safari. This guide explains the known 2027 prices, travel routes, accommodation choices, and planning points using current listed information.
Quick answer: Epupa Falls is best reached from Opuwo by road, with the drive taking about 3 hours. A guided Kunene River walk costs N$465 per person and lasts about 2 hours. A 2027 luxury fly-in option lasts 10 days and starts at US$26,505 per person.
Epupa Falls Namibia 2027 travel includes river walks, hiking, camping, lodge stays, and guided road or air-based tours. Prices depend on the service you choose. A short guided walk costs N$465 per person, while listed accommodation begins at N$2,600 for a single chalet and luxury air travel starts at US$26,505.
Epupa Falls is known for its setting on the Kunene River. Omarunga Epupa-Falls Camp lists a guided walk upstream along the river. The walk lasts about 2 hours and costs N$465 per person, although the same listing also displays N$445. The listed validity period runs from 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2027. [1]
Omarunga Epupa-Falls Camp also highlights vervet monkeys and birdwatching along the route. This makes the activity a simple choice for visitors who want a guided experience without committing to a full multi-day safari. Departure is listed as on request. [1]
Epupa Falls is best for travelers who enjoy walking, river scenery, and remote road travel. The wider route also suits visitors who want to combine nature with time in traditional Himba territory. However, the destination needs careful planning because the available experiences range from a two-hour walk to a 10-day flying safari.
The Kunene Camino runs from below Ruacana Falls to Epupa Falls. The route combines formal campsites with wild camping, creating a more immersive wilderness journey. [2] This option suits hikers who want the journey itself to be the main experience, rather than a short visit to the falls.
Epupa Falls matters because it offers several travel styles in one remote area. You can drive, walk, camp, stay in a raised river-view room, or fly between highlights. The range gives couples, families, hikers, and luxury travelers different ways to build a northern Namibia itinerary.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic traveler reviews. Compare Epupa Falls tour packages and Namibia safari routes before choosing your travel style, budget, and level of support.

The main Epupa Falls routes are the Opuwo road transfer, the Ruacana-to-Epupa walking route, and a luxury flying safari. Current listed prices run from N$465 for a guided river walk to US$26,505 for a 10-day flying adventure. Accommodation adds separate costs, with 2027 rates starting at N$2,600.
Opuwo to Epupa is the key road approach described in the supplied tour information. The drive takes about 3 hours because the route includes river crossings or dips and winding roads. [6] Travelers should therefore allow extra time for road conditions, stops, and changes in speed.
Road travel works well for a Namibia self drive safari. It gives you more control over stops and route timing. A guided vehicle offers more support, while a self-drive plan requires you to manage fuel, navigation, road conditions, and accommodation bookings yourself.
Ruacana to Epupa is a longer route that follows the Kunene River westward. Bluerhino Safaris schedules the section for 24–25 March 2027. The route passes through traditional Himba territory, where the Himba have lived as a semi-nomadic culture. [3]
The Kunene Camino offers a related walking concept. It starts below Ruacana Falls and ends at Epupa Falls. Formal campsites and wild camping form part of the route. [2] Ask an operator about walking distance, porter support, meals, water, and camp equipment before booking.
A listed flying safari includes Epupa Falls, lasts 10 days, and is marketed for June to October. Its price guide starts at US$26,505 per person. [7] This is the clearest match for travelers searching for “safari namibia luxus” and wanting a high-end trip with less time spent on remote roads.
Responsible Travel lists a Namibia departure on 4 July 2027 at US$7,797 per person, excluding flights. The supplied listing marks the departure as available. [8] The itinerary details and Epupa Falls inclusions should be confirmed before payment.

Plan an Epupa Falls trip by choosing your route first, then checking road support, accommodation, dates, and included services. The best plan depends on whether you want a Namibia self drive safari, a guided walking journey, a lodge stay, or a luxury air-based itinerary.
Epupa Falls Lodge is a lodge option with five raised river-view rooms. Each room sleeps two people, and the 2027 single chalet rate starts at N$2,600. [4] This setup suits travelers who want a private room and a river setting after a long road day.
Epupa Camp is a tented accommodation choice. Its listed single-tent price is N$3,580 per person for the 2027 rate period. [5] Confirm the sharing rate, meal plan, room setup, and activity schedule before booking because these details affect your final cost.
March 24–25, 2027 is the scheduled date for Bluerhino Safaris’ Ruacana-to-Epupa section. [3] June to October is the stated ideal period for the listed flying safari. [7] These dates do not guarantee availability for every operator, so request written confirmation before arranging flights.
Opuwo to Epupa is a three-hour drive under the listed route description. [6] Build your day around daylight, road conditions, and planned stops. A self-drive safari should also include a clear return plan and confirmed accommodation.
SafariFind helps you compare verified tour operators, package details, and authentic reviews in one marketplace. Request a quote from verified Namibia safari operators after you shortlist your preferred route and accommodation.
Travelers planning a wider route can review the 6-day Namibia self-drive itinerary under $2,000 for a budget framework. The 10-day Namibia self-drive safari itinerary and cost guide can help travelers add more stops before or after Epupa Falls.

Book Epupa Falls with clear expectations about remote travel, price units, and route time. The area offers basic activity pricing and high-end safari pricing, but each quote may cover different services. Compare what is included, not only the headline amount.
A Namibia self drive safari gives you freedom, but Epupa requires careful route planning. The listed Opuwo drive includes river crossings or dips and winding roads. [6] Therefore, confirm the road route, vehicle type, fuel plan, and support contact before departure.
Self-drive visitors can build a longer Namibia journey around desert, wildlife, and coastal stops. For example, SafariFind guides cover Kamanjab self-drive safari costs and a self-drive route to Deadvlei. These resources help separate a northern river trip from a longer national itinerary.
“Safari namibia luxus” travelers should compare private air travel, room type, guide service, and included meals. The listed flying safari costs from US$26,505 per person for 10 days. [7] A separate 4 July 2027 Namibia departure is listed at US$7,797 excluding flights. [8]
These prices are not interchangeable. They describe different products, dates, and inclusions. Ask each operator for a day-by-day itinerary and a full cost sheet. This step prevents confusion between a land tour, a lodge package, and a fly-in journey.
The Ruacana-to-Epupa route passes through traditional Himba territory. [3] Treat community visits as cultural exchanges, not staged photo stops. Ask your guide about permission, photography, dress, gifts, and local customs before meeting residents.
River walks also need care. Stay with your guide, follow the marked route, and protect the river environment. Omarunga highlights birdwatching and vervet monkeys, so quiet walking can improve the experience. [1]

"Tongesai was recommended to me by a friend who also booked his amazing safari through Cultural Vibes; I am glad we took his recommendation. Our safari across Victoria Falls and Botswana was top notch. Tongesai booked us in all of the best camps and with the best safari outfitters. Our excursions were extremely well planned and full of excitement. The restaurants were fantastic as well. Personally, I love planning my own vacations but honestly don't think there is an easy and reliable way to plan an African safari without using a travel agent very familiar with the region. Located in Zimbabwe and with a travel and tourism background, Tongesai was able to coordinate our stays between 5 safari camps which included private charter flights across the regions. He also personally escorted us into Botswana and helped with border crossing which was very helpful as well. Compared to larger companies, Tongesai's package rates were more reasonable and came with a customized touch. I highly recommend Cultural Vibes to anyone looking to go on safari in Zimbabwe and its bordering countries (Botswana, Zambia & Namibia). Thanks, T!"

"We were amazing group of 4 adults from Atlanta USA. Upon arrival we found our guide Stuart Muronga already waiting for us. He picked us up in a well air-conditioned vehicle and offered us water at soft drinks. Before going to check in we drove around the beautiful city . After checking in he dropped us off at the famous Boma restaurant..we had an amazing experience there over delicious meals and drums and dance. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. The next morning he picked us up for out safari experience in Chobe which is in Botswana just an hour drive from Vic Falls. We spent 6 hrs there then drove another 40 or so minutes to some island in Namibia. Stuart was so knowledgeable with great communication skills which made the whole experience so smooth and fun."

"I would like to note an excellent organisation of this tour. In advance Kubwa Five Safaris created whats app groupe for me so I had contacts of people who assisted me during my travel. I was picked up at the airport. My guide was waiting for me. The accommodations chosen for this trip were correct, clean with good service. The choice of restaurants corresponded the rate of this tour. We visited wonderfull places with beautiful landscapes, I enjoyed game drive and visit of Etosha parc. My driver was a professional guide, so I had explanations on historical events, culture, geology, flore and faune of the sites that we visited. Kubwa Five Safaris chose reliable partners in Namibia, that made my trip safe and I would like to thank them for that."

"Our trip around Namibia was booked through Kubwa Five Safaris, main contact was Sylvia (from their sister company Ompo Travel). Everything was organised perfectly, Sylvia listened to our needs and constantly adapted the trip according to our (many) changes of mind, to ensure we could get the best out of it, both in terms of things to do and accommodations where to stay; but she also added her local know-how to advise our decisions on what really worth seeing and what to skip (given the limited time of two weeks). She was also very responsive, both prior the trip as well as during the trip, taking immediate action if needed (only once, due to a misunderstanding on the check-out from a lodge). Namibia is an amazing place with plenty of wilderness and photo opportunities, and we have enjoyed it fully!"
