A 10-day South Africa vacation with Cape Town and a Kruger safari starts at $12,995 per person in 2027, while shorter safari-and-beach trips start near €2,979. [3][4]
Cape Town beach and safari packages 2027 combine time in Cape Town with wildlife viewing in South Africa or nearby Southern Africa. Prices range from about $3,705 to $12,995 per person, excluding flights on some trips. The best choices depend on trip length, lodge level, and whether you want a small-group or private safari.
Cape Town beach and safari packages 2027 are multi-stop holidays that pair South Africa’s city life and coast with guided wildlife viewing. Cape Town usually forms the urban base, while a later route adds a national park, private reserve, or a wider Southern Africa circuit.
Cape Town beach and safari packages 2027 are useful when you want more than a standard game drive. You can compare a shorter 10-day South Africa holiday, a 16-day Cape Town-to-Chobe journey, or a 20-day Southern Africa highlights tour. Prices also change sharply when flights, private vehicles, premium lodges, and beach stays enter the plan.
Quick answer: A Cape Town beach and safari holiday costs about $3,705-$4,320 for a 10-day small-group safari, $6,300-$6,900 for a 20-day Southern Africa tour, and up to $12,995 for a 10-day vacation. [3][6] A Cape Town-to-Chobe itinerary lasts 16 days and 15 nights. [1]
This guide compares the main price bands available for 2027. It also explains what the prices include, how to choose a route, and how to compare verified operators on SafariFind. Rates and space can change, so request a current quote before paying a deposit.
Cape Town beach and safari packages 2027 are combined itineraries with a Cape Town stay, coastal time, and a safari section. The safari may take place in South Africa, or the route may continue into Botswana, Zimbabwe, or another Southern African destination. The final price depends on the route and the level of lodging.
Cape Town is the usual city starting point for these trips. Tour providers then connect the city portion with game drives, safari lodges, and sometimes Victoria Falls or the Chobe Riverfront. Road Scholar lists several 2027 departures from Cape Town to Chobe, including May 14, June 4, June 25, July 9, July 16, August 6, and August 13. [1]
Southern Africa is best for travelers who want a varied route rather than one reserve. Road Scholar’s listed Cape Town-to-Chobe program runs for 16 days and 15 nights. [1] Webb Tours also lists a June 18-30, 2027 trip with Victoria Falls, Cape Town, and safaris. That trip limits group size to 40 participants. [2]
Known for: Cape Town beach and safari packages are known for combining urban sightseeing, coastal stays, and wildlife drives. Some programs use one country, while others cross several borders. Therefore, travelers should check transfer times, visa needs, internal flights, and the number of nights spent on safari.
South Africa is the main focus for travelers who want Cape Town and safari in one country. You can explore the South Africa safari catalog to see destination options, operator details, and available package styles.
Start your planning with Cape Town beach and safari packages for 2027 with current prices and compare trip length, inclusions, and traveler reviews.
A combined itinerary can reduce the need to plan separate holidays. It also gives you several experiences in one booking. However, a longer route does not always mean more safari time. Read the day-by-day plan and count the actual nights in a reserve before comparing headline prices.

Cape Town beach and safari packages cost between $3,705 and $12,995 per person in the published 2027 price examples. A budget-friendly small-group trip sits near the lower end, while a 10-day premium South Africa vacation reaches $12,995. Some advertised prices exclude flights, so compare inclusions carefully.
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Responsible Travel South Africa safari | $3,705-$4,320 | 10 days | Not listed | Lower-cost small-group safari |
| Trailfinders safari and beach package | €2,979 or £2,549 | Not listed | Not listed | Travelers seeking a multi-centre deal |
| Responsible Travel Southern Africa highlights | $6,300-$6,900 | 20 days | Not listed | Long regional route |
| Audley South Africa vacation | From $7,000 | 9 days | Not listed | Private or premium planning |
| Audley South Africa vacation | From $12,995 | 10 days | Not listed | High-end South Africa holiday |
| Road Scholar Cape Town to Chobe | Not stated | 16 days/15 nights | Not listed | Scheduled escorted travel |
Published prices are not perfectly like-for-like. Responsible Travel lists its 10-day South Africa safari at $3,705-$4,320 excluding flights, with January 10 and February 7, 2027 departures. [6] Audley lists a 10-day South Africa vacation from $12,995 and another nine-day option from $7,000 or more. [3]
Safari lodge level is one of the biggest cost drivers. African Safari Home states that luxury lodges start at $650 per person per night for a four-star experience. That rate includes accommodation, airport transfers, meals, local drinks, and two daily game drives. [5]
Trip length also affects the total. A 20-day tour costs more than a 10-day tour, but the daily average may differ. Responsible Travel lists a 20-day Cape Town-to-Victoria Falls Southern Africa highlights trip at $6,300-$6,900 excluding flights. [6]
Transport adds another layer. A package may include road transfers, internal flights, airport pickup, or cross-border travel. Ask whether the quoted price includes every transfer between Cape Town, the safari area, and the beach stay.
Beach nights can sit inside the package or act as an optional extension. The words “safari and beach” do not always show the number of beach nights. Check the itinerary, hotel name, meal plan, and transfer details before comparing two offers.
Need to keep your budget clear? Request quotes from verified safari operators for a 2027 trip within your price range and compare what each offer includes.
Kruger National Park is the best-known South Africa safari choice for travelers who want a large park and flexible route planning. Private reserves can suit visitors seeking smaller lodges, guided drives, and a more focused stay. The best area depends on your budget, transfer plan, and preferred level of privacy.
Kruger National Park is a strong fit for first-time visitors who want a classic South Africa safari. SafariFind’s guide to Kruger National Park safari costs in 2027 helps compare budgets by trip length. A separate seven-day Kruger itinerary guide can help travelers plan a longer wildlife stay.
Phinda Private Game Reserve is a private-reserve option in SafariFind’s South Africa catalog. Visitors considering walking activities can read the Phinda walking safari guide before requesting a quote.
Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve is another destination listed for South Africa safari planning. It can work well for travelers who want to add wildlife to a coastal route near KwaZulu-Natal. Tembe Elephant Park, uMkhuze Game Reserve, and iSimangaliso Wetland Park also appear in the SafariFind destination catalog.
Mapungubwe National Park suits travelers who want a different landscape from the Cape Town-to-Kruger route. Ai-Ais/Richtersveld Transfrontier Park offers another Southern Africa destination for travelers planning a wider road journey. These choices need careful routing because a package’s transfer time can affect the holiday experience.
Durban can form a useful beach and safari pairing for travelers who want coastal time near KwaZulu-Natal reserves. SafariFind’s guide to Durban beach holiday packages for 2027 covers the beach side of that style of trip.
Kosi Bay and iSimangaliso Wetland Park are useful names to compare when a traveler wants coast and nature in one region. The route is different from a Cape Town and Kruger holiday, so do not compare only the total price. Compare flight time, road time, beach nights, and safari nights.
The query “Diani Beach: The Best Coastline on the African Continent?” refers to Kenya, not a Cape Town package. “Hello good people Just booked a holiday staycation at Salt lick safari” also points to a different travel product. Chemka Hot Springs Day Tour and Moshi holiday packages, plus Lake Eyasi safari tours, belong to Tanzania planning rather than this South Africa route.
That distinction matters because flights, park fees, currencies, and entry rules differ by country. Keep your search focused on South Africa when your plan starts in Cape Town. Then compare cross-border options only when Victoria Falls or Chobe forms part of the stated itinerary.
Image suggestion: Use a game-drive photograph from a South Africa reserve. Suggested alt text: “Guided game drive in a South Africa private reserve during a 2027 safari holiday.”
Start by choosing your trip length, safari area, and spending limit. Then decide whether Cape Town comes before the safari, after it, or both. A clear route makes it easier to compare offers and prevents a low headline price from hiding extra flights or long transfers.
Choose between a 10-day South Africa holiday, a 16-day escorted route, and a 20-day regional tour. The 10-day format suits travelers with limited leave. The longer options suit people who want Victoria Falls, Chobe, or more than one Southern Africa destination.
Road Scholar’s 2027 Cape Town-to-Chobe departures include several dates from May through August. [1] Responsible Travel lists January 10 and February 7, 2027 departures for its 10-day South Africa safari. [6] These dates give travelers a starting point for leave planning.
Small-group travel can offer a set departure date and shared costs. Private travel can offer more control over pace, hotel choice, and beach nights. Luxury lodge travel adds comfort and more included services, but the nightly rate can rise quickly.
Webb Tours describes its June 18-30, 2027 Africa itinerary as a limited-space trip for 40 participants. [2] The company also says similar trips with similar lodging usually cost at least $7,000 and can reach $10,000 or more per person. [2] Use those figures as a comparison point, not as a promise for every package.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic reviews from past travelers. Review the operator profile, read recent feedback, and compare the written itinerary with the advertised price. A trusted operator should explain what is included before you pay.
Travelers who prefer a Cape Town-focused start can also review SafariFind’s guide to Cape Town safari day trips and prices for 2027. Those day trips may suit visitors who already booked accommodation and want a shorter wildlife experience.
Book early when your dates match a fixed departure. Webb Tours notes limited space on its June 2027 program. [2] Scheduled trips can fill sooner than flexible private itineraries, especially when a group size is capped.
As of August 2026, 2027 planning is already practical. Start with two or three quotes. Compare the same number of nights, the same lodge level, and the same transport plan. This method gives you a fairer price comparison.

A South Africa safari costs about $3,705-$4,320 for a published 10-day small-group trip excluding flights. Premium South Africa vacations reach $12,995 for 10 days, while a nine-day option starts at $7,000 or more. [3][6] Lodge level, transport, and included activities change the final price.
Kruger National Park is the best-known choice for a classic South Africa safari and flexible trip planning. Private reserves such as Phinda suit travelers who want lodge-based game drives and a more focused stay. Your best area depends on budget, route, privacy, and beach plans.
A 10-day trip suits travelers with limited leave, while 16- and 20-day itineraries allow more regional travel. Road Scholar lists a 16-day, 15-night Cape Town-to-Chobe itinerary. [1] Responsible Travel lists a 20-day Cape Town-to-Victoria Falls route. [6]
Flights are not always included in Cape Town safari package prices. Responsible Travel states that its listed 10-day and 20-day prices exclude flights. [6] Ask each operator about international flights, internal flights, airport transfers, and road transfers before comparing quotes.
A luxury safari lodge starts at about $650 per person per night for a four-star experience, according to African Safari Home. [5] The stated rate includes accommodation, airport transfers, meals, local drinks, and two daily game drives. Confirm the exact inclusions and season rate before booking.
You can book through SafariFind by comparing verified tour operators, reviewing authentic traveler feedback, and requesting quotes. SafariFind helps you compare Cape Town, South Africa, beach, and safari package options before choosing a 2027 itinerary.
Cape Town beach and safari packages 2027 range from about $3,705 for a 10-day safari excluding flights to $12,995 for a premium 10-day South Africa vacation. [3][6] Longer Southern Africa routes cost $6,300-$6,900 for 20 days in the published examples. [6] A four-star luxury lodge can start at $650 per person per night. [5]
Choose a 10-day plan if you want a focused Cape Town and safari holiday. Choose a 16- or 20-day route if you want Victoria Falls, Chobe, or more border crossings. For a beach-led trip, compare the coast, hotel nights, and transfer plan instead of relying on the package name alone.

"Communications with Mack via email were swift and comprehensible. We were picked up at the airport on arrival by our guide, Thomas, who would be with us for the whole week. We signed up for a budget camping safari, and we had a great time! The campsites were nicer than I thought they would be, and the Kiliholidays team did a great job of taking care of us the whole trip. Thomas was very accommodating, and our 'stomach engineer' did a fantastic job the whole trip. My partner and I were very impressed by the quality of the food. Thomas was an incredible driver; a few times we had to stop and help other drivers who were stuck! This was my second visit to East Africa, and I will definitely book with Kiliholidays for my third trip :) A few tips for other travelers: The sleeping mattress was a bit thin for me (my partner had no trouble!), but I found that sleeping on my back instead of my side helped. If you have sensitive hips, I'd recommend bringing something to use as a cushion, or possibly arranging for an extra mattress. The tent was high-quality and the sleeping bags were warm. We stayed in Mto wa Mbu a few nights and it was quite hot there. We brought sleeping sacks (very thin) and used those instead. Bring LOTS of insect repellent and use it often (biting flies in the daytime, mosquitoes at night). Same with hand sanitizer (public campsite toilets don't usually have soap). Granola bars are a good idea, too, if you like to snack between meals. There's not a lot of access to ice, so if you like an evening adult-beverage, just ask your guide to stop before you leave Arusha to pick up some wine. We picked up a 5-liter box of South African wine for about 25euros and it was very convenient (bring your own cups!)."
5★ - "This is the second time I have traveled with my family with GoExplore. The first time was an amazing Uganda experience (already reviewed) and this second experience with my husband to Kenya was equally amazing. Brian org" - Sarah • Verified review
"This is the second time I have traveled with my family with GoExplore. The first time was an amazing Uganda experience (already reviewed) and this second experience with my husband to Kenya was equally amazing. Brian organized organized both tours for me and tailored them according to my wishes. As this is still the time of unsure flights and Covid difficulties, he was easily able to adapt to some changes with travel that were beyond our control. GoExplore is a boutique business that is very personalized and offers you the equal and more than a large corporate operator. The price point is compatible with group tours but you will have your own personal driver and guide for yourself and there is nothing to compare with this luxury. Because of that, you will also be able to adapt your days schedule if you wish according what you want and not what is a groups plan. We were completely happy and satisfied with all aspects of our travel (on both trips). Brian knows the safari tour industry and is constantly working to improve the business, his knowledge about lodges, the parks, restaurants and all minute aspects of the tour. He will be able to personally attest to the quality of whatever product he is recommending to you. Sammi was our driver in Kenya and we can only say that he was amazing. He knew more about wildlife (and every birds name and details) than an encyclopedia, was an amazingly adept driver in sometimes rough conditions (traffic, rough park roads, etc.) and looked out for our interests. While respecting the animals, he went above and beyond trying to make sure we saw every different animal we could. We appreciated that he obviously respected and cared about the animals we were seeing. (Not all safari drivers do and will do anything to try to get to see something up close, even while encroaching too much on their space.) We had a minor vehicle difficulty and Sammi made sure that everything went smoothly and we didn't miss a minute of our trip or schedule. He is quite an asset to GoExplore. Sammi only drives on Kenya trips but if you go to Uganda, I highly recommend Moses who was equally great. Overall, the trip was an unforgettable trip of a lifetime. If you haven't gone on a safari before, you should trip to put this on your life plan. There is nothing like it and when you plan it, you want a safari operator that will listen to your needs, wants, and budget and tailor it to fit you. GoExplore will do that in a personal way. Our lodges that Brian picked were magical and the food was outstanding. There was nothing about our trip that we would have changed. I highly recommend GoExplore if you want to travel to any of the countries they operate in. If not those countries, then reconsider them over the more commercialized ones (such as South Africa) and you won't be disappointed."

"We just finished a 2-week tour of South Africa with extension to Victoria Falls and the Monde Village Cultural Experience was one of the highlights of the entire trip. It is a must-do for anyone in the area. Tongesai (our guide) was very personable and worked with us to customize the experience. He was flexible and took time to explain many things that aren't part of the "regular tour". We had great conversations throughout the tour. He ended up dropping us off so late (8:30pm), his wife had to call him twice. He took a few pictures with us so he had alibi. :) Mr Ncube (our village host) and his family were welcoming and excited to show us their way of life. Mr Ncube's explanations of his culture, family structure, farming struggles, and discussions on many topics showed us a simple way of life, much different than our modern American ways, but it made so much sense. People here fight hard to live but they do it with a smile. They may be poor, but not in spirit. We asked many questions and received questions ourselves. It was as if I was visiting an uncle living in a rural part of a third-world country. This family made us felt at home. We wish we had more time to sit under the summer kitchen during a raining day, sharing food and chatting with these folks. We wish we could sit in the winter kitchen to hear him teach his children and grandchildren. Needless to say, we spent 4+ hrs at this experience and wanted more. I am now back to "civilization" in a nice Qatari hotel, but I kept thinking about my time in the simple Monde Village. What a breath of fresh air that was. I brought some extra clothes to give, but ended up giving as much as I could live without for the rest of my trip. A pair of sandals doesn't mean much to me, but it means a lot to people in these villages. This is 30+ hrs flight from home so it is a one-time chance to help; I had to make the best of it. If I can come back to this area, I will definitely bring more people to share in this amazing experience. I encourage all who come to Victoria Falls to add this cultural experience to their itinerary."

"Cultural Vibes Travel and Tours has proved to be excellent yet again as this is now the third time, we have used them and a much-needed break after almost 3 years with the Covid pandemic. Tongesai is extremely reliable, professional, knowledgeable and does everything to make your trip a memorable experience. Compared to local larger companies, Tongesai’s individual package rates are more reasonable and come with a customized touch. We felt that our holiday with Tongesai was much better and suited us more so than if we had booked through a larger company. His individual tailoring, personal involvement and attention to detail pays off in the smooth running of your trip. Our visits to the Victoria Falls, both sides from Zimbabwe and Zambia were magnificent and never cease to amaze us. On this trip Tongesai arranged for a private sunset cruise on the Zambezi just for our family of four instead of on the larger vessels, which was a very pleasant alternative. The boat trip in Chobe is magical and a must if you venture into Botswana. Wildlife was in abundance, including lion, elephant, wildebeest, buffalo, puku, kudu, bushbuck, waterbuck, impala, gemsbok, steenbok, sable and roan antelope, etc. We even saw a relative of Cecil, the famous black-maned lion, ‘once a true king of Hwange National Park’. I have no hesitation in recommending the company for arranging tours in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana - we will definitely be seeing him again. He is currently setting up arrangements with colleagues in Kruger National Park to venture into South Africa and I wish him every success with that."

"We booked our Zimbabwe trip with Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours following a recommendation from Nhongo Safaris in South Africa. Tongesai is a great communicator, and the booking process was quick, easy, and well organized. We were happy with the quote provided and were able to easily pay online. Tongesai was waiting for us at Victoria Falls Airport to take us to our accommodation. He has arranged an amazing whirlwind 48 hour visit, that was packed with a sunset cruise on the Zambezi, Morning Game drive, he accompanied us on an amazing walk of the Victoria falls and arranged an African experience dinner in the evening. It was so memorable, and everything we wanted! Overall, it was an fantastic trip, with a great guide, and we would highly recommend it for anyone considering a trip to Victoria Falls. For our next visit, we will definitely be reaching out to Tongesai and thoroughly recommend to all our friends."
