Bwabwata National Park safari packages in 2027 cost about $180 to $250 per person per day. Mid-range lodge stays cost $200 to $350 per person per night, while camping costs $50 to $100 per night. The park sits between Namibia and Angola. The clearest listed 2027 departures run from May 1 to May 26.
One Namibia park sits between two countries and includes wildlife habitat alongside local communities. That mix makes Bwabwata National Park a very different safari choice.
Bwabwata National Park Safari Packages 2027: Prices depend on your travel style, length of stay, and accommodation. A simple daily budget sits near $180 to $250 per person. A mid-range lodge package costs about $200 to $350 per person per night. Camping lowers the nightly cost to about $50 to $100. [4]
This guide explains what the park offers, what 2027 prices mean, and how to plan a trip. It also separates local daily rates from high-cost, multi-country tours. That difference matters. A long luxury itinerary can cost more than $13,000, while a focused park visit may fit a much smaller budget.
Quick answer: Bwabwata National Park is a northern Namibia safari destination on the Angola border. In 2027, plan on $180 to $250 per person each day, plus accommodation choices and park fees. May has two listed departures, but travelers should confirm dates, transport, and available camps before paying a deposit.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic traveler reviews. You can use the SafariFind catalog to compare safari styles before choosing a lodge, camping trip, or longer Namibia route.
Bwabwata National Park safari packages are guided or self-drive trips into a protected area on the Namibia and Angola border. The park includes wildlife habitat and areas where people live. That human-wildlife setting shapes the travel experience and calls for careful planning. [1]
Bwabwata National Park is in northeastern Namibia. Its border position gives the park a clear regional identity. The park is part of a wider travel route that can include other northern Namibia stops, rather than a stand-alone city attraction. [1]
Known for: a border location, wildlife areas, and human settlement within the wider park setting. This combination means you should ask an operator how the itinerary enters the park and which areas the guide plans to visit.
Best for: travelers who want a quieter northern Namibia route, people who enjoy guided wildlife drives, and visitors who want a less standard safari plan. It also suits travelers who already plan to visit Namibia and want to add another park.
Getting there: use the transport stated by your operator. A package may include road transfers, a guided vehicle, or a self-drive rental. Ask for the exact route, road conditions, fuel plan, and pickup point before booking. The supplied park sources do not provide one fixed travel time or one official transfer route.
A daily safari estimate of $180 to $250 per person generally includes game drives, guide services, and basic accommodation. SafariFind lists this range as an estimated daily cost for Bwabwata trips in 2027. [4]
The park entry estimate is about $55 per vehicle. This is a vehicle fee, so the cost per person changes with group size. Four guests sharing one vehicle would divide that fee. A solo traveler would carry the full amount unless the operator uses a shared vehicle. [4]
Compare Bwabwata safari packages and 2027 trip details on SafariFind before you request quotes. Review the inclusions line by line, not only the headline price.
Bwabwata National Park matters because it is not a simple empty-wilderness model. People and wildlife share the wider park area. Responsible operators should explain how their trips support local access, follow park rules, and reduce disruption around community areas. [1]
This detail affects your expectations. A safari here may feel less staged than a tightly managed lodge circuit. You may also need more precise information about roads, accommodation, and daily movements. Ask direct questions. Good planning prevents an expensive surprise once you arrive.
Bwabwata safari packages cost about $180 to $250 per person per day in 2027, based on SafariFind estimates. Mid-range lodge packages cost $200 to $350 per person per night, while budget camping costs $50 to $100 per night. These figures are planning ranges, not guaranteed quotes. [4]
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Budget camping | $50 to $100 per night | Flexible | Not listed | Independent travelers and low-cost trips |
| Standard daily safari | $180 to $250 per person per day | Flexible | Not listed | Guided game drives with basic accommodation |
| Mid-range lodge | $200 to $350 per person per night | Flexible | Not listed | Travelers who want more comfort |
| Wilderness Travel itinerary | From $13,895 or $16,395 | 13 days | Not listed | Long, high-end Namibia itineraries |
| Eclipse Travel Namibia tour | From $14,000 per person | 8 days | Not listed | Special-interest and premium group travel |
The table shows why package comparisons need context. The daily estimate covers a focused safari plan. The Wilderness Travel prices cover longer itineraries with Bwabwata as one highlight. Eclipse Travel lists an 8-day Namibia tour from more than $14,000 per person, while it also lists Bwabwata tours from $4,113 per person. [2] [3]
Wilderness Travel lists a Bwabwata-highlighted Namibia itinerary with departures from May 1 to May 13, 2027. That trip starts at $13,895. The same comparison page lists another departure from May 14 to May 26, 2027, starting at $16,395. [2]
These two prices are useful benchmarks for premium touring. They do not represent the cost of every Bwabwata visit. They show what a longer, planned itinerary can cost when the park forms one part of a broader Namibia trip.
May is the clearest published travel window in the supplied 2027 data. However, operators may offer other dates. Ask whether the quoted price changes by month, group size, vehicle type, or room category.
Accommodation is usually the largest choice. Camping can lower nightly costs, but you may need to manage equipment, meals, and transport. A lodge package costs more, yet it may simplify daily travel and provide a more comfortable base.
For wider Namibia planning, compare the costs in this guide with a 6-day Namibia self-drive safari under $2,000. The two trips serve different budgets and travel styles.
Request a quote for a 2027 Namibia safari with your price limit. Ask verified operators to show transport, park fees, meals, and accommodation as separate lines.
Buffalo Core Area is a relevant SafariFind destination page for travelers comparing northern Namibia wildlife areas. Link this stop to your research list if an operator includes it. Do not assume that a Bwabwata quote includes every nearby park or reserve.
Etosha National Park is another common Namibia planning reference, but it is not the same destination. Read the guide to Etosha National Park entry fees in 2027 if you plan to combine both parks. Separate fees and driving costs can change the total.
Start a Bwabwata safari plan by choosing your travel style, dates, and transport. Then ask operators for a complete quote. The most useful quote lists accommodation, game drives, meals, transfers, park fees, and exclusions in plain language.
Set your daily target before contacting operators. A practical 2027 estimate is $180 to $250 per person per day. Add the accommodation level you want, then check if the operator includes the vehicle fee of about $55. [4]
Two travelers sharing a vehicle may pay less per person than one traveler. Ask how the operator groups guests. A private vehicle can raise the cost, while a shared drive may lower it. The quote should state this choice clearly.
Camping costs about $50 to $100 per night. This option fits travelers who want a lower room cost and accept basic facilities. Confirm whether tents, bedding, meals, camp staff, and transfers are included.
Mid-range lodge packages cost about $200 to $350 per person per night. This option suits travelers who want a bed and simpler logistics. Confirm the room type, meal plan, drive schedule, and distance between the lodge and wildlife areas.
May 1 to May 13 and May 14 to May 26, 2027 are published Wilderness Travel departure windows. These dates provide a useful starting point for planning. They do not prove that every operator runs a May trip. [2]
Ask each operator these questions:
SafariFind helps you compare verified tour operators and read authentic reviews from past travelers. Look for reviews that mention guides, vehicle comfort, timing, food, and communication. A high rating means more when the review gives useful details.
Look beyond the cheapest number. A low quote may exclude transfers or meals. A higher quote may include a private vehicle or lodge nights. Compare the full trip total, then compare what each traveler receives.
Pack clothing for warm days and cooler mornings. Bring sun protection, sturdy shoes, a refillable water bottle, and a camera with spare power. Your operator should provide a detailed packing list before departure.
Keep local communities in mind. Bwabwata includes areas inhabited by people alongside wildlife habitat. Follow guide instructions, avoid entering community areas without permission, and do not leave waste behind. [1]
Travelers adding other Namibia stops can review Kamanjab self-drive safari costs for 2027. That route may suit a different part of your trip, so check the driving plan before combining destinations.
Book after you receive a written itinerary. The itinerary should show dates, nights, room type, activities, transfers, and payment terms. Keep every promise in writing.
Check cancellation rules before sending money. Ask who handles emergencies, vehicle faults, and missed connections. These questions feel practical because they are practical. Safari travel happens far from home, and a clear plan is worth paying for.
Before booking Bwabwata safari packages, confirm the full price, exact route, and accommodation. The advertised daily rate is only a starting point. A complete quote makes it easier to compare trips and avoid costs that appear later.
Check whether the quote uses a daily rate or a per-night rate. These figures are not always the same. Also check whether the $55 vehicle fee applies to your group and whether the operator has already included it. [4]
Use the published high-end prices as a warning against simple comparisons. Wilderness Travel lists trips starting at $13,895 and $16,395 for May 2027. Eclipse Travel lists an 8-day Namibia tour from $14,000 or more and separate Bwabwata tours from $4,113 per person. [2] [3]
Ask if the lodge has private rooms, shared rooms, power, showers, and meals. Ask how long each game drive lasts. Ask whether the vehicle has window seats for every guest.
Ask how much time the itinerary spends inside Bwabwata. A tour can mention the park in its highlights while spending only a short period there. The number of nights gives you a better measure of the experience.
SafariFind gives travelers a place to compare packages, operator details, and authentic reviews. Use the catalog to find your preferred budget and travel style. Then request quotes from verified operators and compare the answers.
SafariFind is also useful when you want a wider route. You can compare a Bwabwata plan with Etosha, desert stops, or coastal travel. For example, a traveler adding the coast can read about Namibia beach packages and prices for 2027 before building a longer itinerary.

"Tongesai was recommended to me by a friend who also booked his amazing safari through Cultural Vibes; I am glad we took his recommendation. Our safari across Victoria Falls and Botswana was top notch. Tongesai booked us in all of the best camps and with the best safari outfitters. Our excursions were extremely well planned and full of excitement. The restaurants were fantastic as well. Personally, I love planning my own vacations but honestly don't think there is an easy and reliable way to plan an African safari without using a travel agent very familiar with the region. Located in Zimbabwe and with a travel and tourism background, Tongesai was able to coordinate our stays between 5 safari camps which included private charter flights across the regions. He also personally escorted us into Botswana and helped with border crossing which was very helpful as well. Compared to larger companies, Tongesai's package rates were more reasonable and came with a customized touch. I highly recommend Cultural Vibes to anyone looking to go on safari in Zimbabwe and its bordering countries (Botswana, Zambia & Namibia). Thanks, T!"

"We were amazing group of 4 adults from Atlanta USA. Upon arrival we found our guide Stuart Muronga already waiting for us. He picked us up in a well air-conditioned vehicle and offered us water at soft drinks. Before going to check in we drove around the beautiful city . After checking in he dropped us off at the famous Boma restaurant..we had an amazing experience there over delicious meals and drums and dance. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. The next morning he picked us up for out safari experience in Chobe which is in Botswana just an hour drive from Vic Falls. We spent 6 hrs there then drove another 40 or so minutes to some island in Namibia. Stuart was so knowledgeable with great communication skills which made the whole experience so smooth and fun."

"I would like to note an excellent organisation of this tour. In advance Kubwa Five Safaris created whats app groupe for me so I had contacts of people who assisted me during my travel. I was picked up at the airport. My guide was waiting for me. The accommodations chosen for this trip were correct, clean with good service. The choice of restaurants corresponded the rate of this tour. We visited wonderfull places with beautiful landscapes, I enjoyed game drive and visit of Etosha parc. My driver was a professional guide, so I had explanations on historical events, culture, geology, flore and faune of the sites that we visited. Kubwa Five Safaris chose reliable partners in Namibia, that made my trip safe and I would like to thank them for that."

"Our trip around Namibia was booked through Kubwa Five Safaris, main contact was Sylvia (from their sister company Ompo Travel). Everything was organised perfectly, Sylvia listened to our needs and constantly adapted the trip according to our (many) changes of mind, to ensure we could get the best out of it, both in terms of things to do and accommodations where to stay; but she also added her local know-how to advise our decisions on what really worth seeing and what to skip (given the limited time of two weeks). She was also very responsive, both prior the trip as well as during the trip, taking immediate action if needed (only once, due to a misunderstanding on the check-out from a lodge). Namibia is an amazing place with plenty of wilderness and photo opportunities, and we have enjoyed it fully!"
