Danish travellers do not normally need a vaccination certificate when arriving directly from Denmark, but Eswatini requires yellow fever proof for travellers aged 9 months or older arriving from yellow-fever-risk countries or relevant transit routes. Routine vaccines, hepatitis A, typhoid and malaria precautions may be recommended according to your itinerary and health circumstances.

Botswana safari cost ranges from about $150 to more than $4,000 per person per day in 2026. Budget overland trips cost about $150-$300 per night, while typical budget, mid-range, and luxury rates sit at $250-$350, $350-$550, and $700 or more per day. Seasonal rates, flights, camps, and safari style shape the final price.
Botswana safari cost is one of the highest in southern Africa, but the price reflects a remote, low-volume wildlife model. A 2026 Botswana safari can suit a careful budget traveler, a couple seeking comfort, or a guest wanting a private luxury camp. The right choice depends on transport, accommodation, group size, and season.
Botswana is known for the Okavango Delta, Chobe, Moremi, and Savuti. These areas offer very different safari settings. Some trips use road transfers and mobile camps. Others use light aircraft and permanent lodges. Therefore, two seven-day trips can have very different prices.
Quick answer: A Botswana safari costs about $150-$300 per person per night for group overland travel. Standard budget rates reach $250-$350 daily, mid-range trips cost $350-$550, and luxury safaris start around $700. Peak-season all-inclusive camps can reach $2,250 or more per night in 2026.
SafariFind helps travelers compare verified tour operators, safari packages, and authentic traveler reviews. Use this guide to set a clear budget before you request quotes. Then compare what each package includes, rather than comparing price alone.

Botswana safari cost in 2026 ranges from $150 to more than $4,000 per person per day. Group overland trips provide the lowest entry price. Mid-range camps add more comfort and guided activities. Luxury camps charge the most because they combine remote locations, small guest numbers, premium service, and often included flights.
Budget Botswana safaris cost about $250-$350 per person per day in standard pricing guides [4]. Group overland trips can cost $150-$300 per person per night. A typical seven-night overland trip therefore costs about $1,100-$2,100 before international flights and bush flights between camps [5].
Mid-range Botswana safaris cost about $350-$550 per person per day [4]. These trips often use better camps, more planned activities, and stronger comfort than basic overland travel. However, the label “mid-range” does not always mean the same thing. Ask whether the rate covers transfers, meals, park fees, and activities.
Luxury Botswana safaris cost $700 or more per person per day [4]. A seven-day itinerary can reach $5,000-$25,000, depending on the route, camp level, and travel style [6]. Some luxury camps charge $3,100 per person per night at the top end [8].
Botswana follows a “high-value, low-volume” tourism model. The model limits visitor numbers in many areas and supports a more exclusive safari experience [2]. Fewer guests can mean better space at wildlife sightings, but it also means camps must charge more to cover their costs.
Remote access adds another major cost. Parts of the Okavango Delta and other wildlife areas are accessible only by light aircraft. These bush flights connect guests with remote camps, but they increase the total trip price [2]. Road-based routes usually cost less when they avoid several air transfers.
A low daily rate may exclude flights or park costs. A high daily rate may include meals, drinks, game drives, boat trips, and transfers. Read the inclusions before you decide. The cheapest quote is not always the lowest final cost.

Compare Botswana safari packages by budget, duration, and included activities to see how different trip styles affect the final price.
Budget, mid-range, and luxury Botswana safaris differ most in transport, camp location, service, and group size. Budget trips favor road travel and shared camps. Mid-range trips add comfort and flexible activities. Luxury trips use remote camps, air transfers, and all-inclusive service.
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Group overland safari | $150-$300 per person per night [5] | About 7 nights | Compare operator reviews | Strict budgets and social travel |
| Budget safari | $250-$350 per person per day [4] | 5-10 days | Compare operator reviews | First-time safari travelers |
| Mid-range safari | $350-$550 per person per day [4] | 5-10 days | Compare operator reviews | Comfort-focused couples and families |
| Luxury safari | $700-$2,250+ per person per day [4][8] | 5-10 days | Compare operator reviews | Private service and remote camps |
Budget Botswana safaris usually focus on value and access. You may travel by shared vehicle, sleep in a basic camp, and follow a fixed route. Group overland packages can reduce the cost because guests share transport and guide services.
International flights and inter-camp bush flights are excluded from the quoted overland range [5]. You should also check whether the package includes meals, camping equipment, park fees, and transfers. A clear list prevents surprise costs after booking.
Mid-range trips offer a useful balance. You may stay in a comfortable tented camp or lodge and join scheduled game drives. Some packages include boat activities, guided walks, or upgraded transfers. These trips suit travelers who want comfort without paying top luxury rates.
Standard mid-range pricing sits at $350-$550 daily [4]. Seasonal camp rates can be higher. Moderate all-inclusive camps range from $600-$800 in the green season, $725-$1,050 in the shoulder season, and $850-$1,200 in peak season [8].
Luxury Botswana safaris focus on privacy, service, and location. Guests often fly between remote camps and spend more time in private or small-group settings. Rates may include meals, drinks, guided activities, park fees, and internal transfers, but every operator sets different terms.
Luxury-camp prices range from $1,000-$1,300 in the green season. They rise to $1,350-$1,850 in the shoulder season and $1,700-$2,250 in peak season [8]. Some premium options reach $3,100 per person per night [8].
Price does not show guide quality or service reliability. Read authentic reviews before you book. SafariFind connects you with verified operators and lets you compare traveler feedback beside package details.
Request a quote from verified Botswana safari operators and compare what each rate includes before paying a deposit.
Season, accommodation, transport, and itinerary length create the largest changes in Botswana safari cost. The same camp can charge very different rates across green, shoulder, and peak seasons. Bush flights and remote locations also add a major line to the final bill.
Botswana safari prices vary by season, accommodation type, and safari style [1]. All-inclusive moderate camps cost $600-$800 in the green season. The same camp category can cost $850-$1,200 during peak season [8]. Therefore, flexible travel dates can reduce the nightly rate.
Luxury camps show the same pattern. Green-season rates sit around $1,000-$1,300. Shoulder-season rates rise to $1,350-$1,850. Peak-season rates reach $1,700-$2,250, with selected camps charging more [8]. Ask for exact dates when requesting a quote.
Light aircraft transfers are often essential for remote Botswana camps. These flights save time and place guests close to areas that roads cannot reach. They also increase the cost of a fly-in safari [2]. A road-based trip can lower the price, especially when guests share a vehicle.
Ask every operator whether the quote includes international flights, regional flights, airport transfers, and bush flights. The group overland estimate of $1,100-$2,100 for seven nights excludes international and inter-camp bush flights [5].
Mobile camps can offer a lower-cost way to explore several areas. Permanent lodges often provide more service, private space, and stronger facilities. Remote camps usually cost more because supplies, staff, and guests must travel farther.
The Okavango Delta, Moremi, Chobe, and Savuti each create different route costs. A trip with several camps may include more flights. A single-area stay may reduce transfers but limit the range of activities.
A longer safari increases the total spend, even when the daily rate stays stable. A seven-day trip may cost $5,000-$25,000 across all travel styles [6]. Shared travel spreads vehicle and guide costs across more guests. Private departures offer control but raise the price.
Use SafariFind to compare packages with matching durations. Check the per-person price, then review the group size and transport plan. This approach gives you a fairer comparison than looking at the headline price alone.
Read the guide to choosing the right Botswana safari camp before you compare accommodation quotes.
You can plan a Botswana safari on almost any travel budget by choosing the right route and transport. Start with a daily limit, then decide whether you prefer road travel, shared camping, comfortable camps, or fly-in lodges. Compare inclusions before choosing the cheapest offer.
Start with one of three clear ranges. Budget travelers should plan around $150-$350 per person per day. Mid-range travelers should plan around $350-$550. Luxury travelers should plan at least $700, with premium camps reaching $2,250 or more [4][8].
These figures describe safari costs. They may not include international flights, visas, travel insurance, or personal spending. Add those items separately when you build your trip budget.
Build a short checklist for every quote. Look for accommodation, meals, game drives, boat trips, guide services, park fees, airport transfers, and bush flights. Ask if drinks, laundry, staff tips, and emergency support cost extra.
All-inclusive wording does not remove the need to read the details. A moderate camp may quote $600-$800 in green season, while another package may use a lower rate but exclude transfers [8]. Compare the full value.
Choose one or two regions if you want to control transfers. Adding more camps can increase flights and travel time. A seven-day Okavango-to-Chobe route can offer variety, but the transport plan deserves close review.
For route planning, read the seven-day Okavango to Chobe route guide. You can also review five Botswana safari budgets per person for more planning context.
Choose an operator with clear terms, current availability, and verified reviews. Ask for a written quote with currency, dates, room type, group size, and cancellation terms. SafariFind helps you compare tour operators before you request a quote.
Save every quote and compare the same details. This simple step makes a large difference when prices vary by season and flight plan.
A Botswana safari costs about $150 to more than $4,000 per person per day in 2026. Group overland trips start around $150-$300 per night. Standard budget, mid-range, and luxury rates are about $250-$350, $350-$550, and $700 or more daily [4][5][6].
Group overland travel is the cheapest listed Botswana safari option, at about $150-$300 per person per night [5]. These trips share transport and guide costs. International flights and bush flights between camps are excluded, so add those costs separately.
A seven-day Botswana safari costs about $1,100-$2,100 for a typical group overland trip. A wider seven-day estimate reaches $5,000-$25,000 when it includes different routes, camp levels, and travel styles [5][6]. The final price depends on flights, season, and accommodation.
Botswana uses a high-value, low-volume tourism model, which supports fewer visitors and more exclusive wildlife experiences [2]. Remote areas also require light-aircraft transfers. These flights and higher operating costs raise the price of many Botswana safari packages.
Flights are not always included in a Botswana safari package. Group overland estimates exclude international flights and inter-camp bush flights [5]. Ask each operator for a written list of included flights, airport transfers, road transfers, and activities before booking.
Compare verified Botswana safari packages on SafariFind and review each operator’s inclusions, dates, group size, and traveler feedback. Request a quote from verified operators, then compare the full trip cost rather than the daily headline rate.
Botswana safari cost in 2026 ranges from $150 per person per night for group overland travel to more than $4,000 daily for premium experiences. Budget travelers should focus on shared road trips. Mid-range travelers can target $350-$550 daily. Luxury guests should expect $700 or more, with peak camps reaching $2,250 and selected options reaching $3,100 [4][5][8].
Start with your daily limit, then compare routes, camp types, seasons, and flights. A seven-night overland trip may cost $1,100-$2,100, while a broader seven-day safari range reaches $5,000-$25,000 [5][6]. Always check exclusions before paying.

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"I spent a week in Botswana with cultural vibes, travels & tours and had not a single dull moment. The hotels/lodges we stayed at were very clean and service was professional. On the drives I had good conversations with the tour operator as he taught me a lot about the culture and about all the different animals (which we saw a lot of). Overall I had a great experience and would definitely book again."

"Tongesai was awesome from the start. I knew he was a good tour operator because he answered all of my questions in a timely manner and no question was ever stupid. Everything was just as he said once we arrived and really it was better. We prepared for about a year in advance for this trip and the tour operator was instrumental and making this trip a success. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Give Tongesai a call or email, and you will 100% not be disappointed. I have a very deep understanding of border crossing and transportation challenges in many African countries at this point because of the efforts of the tour operator. This makes my wife and I have very comfortable to approach another visit or look at visiting a different African country."

"We went on a 3 day safari, and even though Tongesai did not lead it himself, I want to highly recommend his services. Our group consisted of just my family; my wife, children (9, 13, 14), and me. Tongesai acted as the agent, coordinating with the organization in Botswana that ran the actual tour. He met us several days in advance, and had informed us of some critical information (like make sure to bring birth certificates for the kids) well in advance. On the first day of the Safari, he came to pick us up, and drove us to the border, where he coordinated a smooth hand over to the Botswana organization. The guide from our safari was so good! ‘Cobra’ grew up in the bush, and if shows. He was frequently coordinating with, and showing other tour guides where to find the best big game sightings. We saw so many animals, including lions, hippos, tons of elephants and giraffes, and too many other animals to name. The meals were also great! Cobra and Tongesai had contracted with ‘chef K’ for catered breakfast, lunch and dinner at the camp. All meals were great. And the camp itself was organized above my expectations. Very nice tents, raised cots, plenty warm, tables, chairs and napkins at every meal! All in all, the experience was pretty unforgettable. It’s not a cheap experience, but based on our trip I can highly recommend Tongesai’s services!"
