The best beaches in Zambia 2027 include Ndole Bay Beach, Lake Tanganyika, and Lake Kariba. Lake getaways suit travelers who want boating, fishing, and time beside the water. A listed 20-day regional itinerary costs $2,890 per person, while lake-only prices remain unconfirmed. May 2027 has a listed safari-and-beach price from $19,300 for two people sharing.
A listed 20-day Zambia regional itinerary costs $2,890 per person, yet the lake-only price is still unknown. [2]
Best beaches in Zambia 2027: Lake getaway package prices is a useful search topic for travelers who want water time without giving up safari. Zambia is better known for rivers, wetlands, and wildlife than for classic ocean beaches. Still, its large lakes offer quiet shores, boat trips, fishing, and simple waterfront stays.
This guide focuses on what travelers can confirm now for 2027. It separates real package prices from prices that still need a quote. That difference matters. A regional trip and a lake-only break are not the same product, even when both include time near the water.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, package details, and authentic reviews. You can use the catalog to compare what each operator includes before paying a deposit.
Quick answer: Ndole Bay Beach, Lake Tanganyika, and Lake Kariba are the leading Zambia lake-getaway choices for 2027. Lake Kariba suits boat trips, fishing, and waterfront wildlife viewing. Confirm lake-only prices directly, because the published $2,890 rate covers a 20-day regional itinerary, not a standalone beach holiday.
The best beaches in Zambia for 2027 are Ndole Bay Beach, Lake Tanganyika, and Lake Kariba. Ndole Bay Beach and Lake Tanganyika suit travelers seeking a dedicated lake escape. Lake Kariba suits visitors who want boating, fishing, and wildlife viewing beside the water. [2]
Ndole Bay Beach is one of the main lake-getaway names identified for 2027. Lake Tanganyika gives this type of trip a clear focus. Travelers can plan around shore time, water views, and a slower pace rather than moving between several safari camps.
The available research does not give a confirmed nightly rate or lake-only package price for Ndole Bay Beach. Therefore, treat any exact quote as a request item. Ask the operator about room type, meals, transfers, boat use, fishing, and the number of nights included.
Lake Kariba is presented as a strong choice for boat trips, fishing, and waterfront wildlife viewing. [2] That mix makes it different from a simple beach stay. You can spend part of the day on the water, then return to a lodge or inn near the shore.
Lake Kariba also gives travelers a useful price reference. Lake Kariba Inns in Siavonga is listed at $153 per night. A May 26 to May 27 stay is listed at $177 total per night. [4] This is a lodging rate, not a complete safari package.
Kariba Dam and Lake Kariba work well for travelers who want water-based activities after wildlife drives. A lake break can also follow time in Victoria Falls, where visitors often build a wider Zambia itinerary.
Lake travel has one clear advantage. You can choose a slower schedule. The trade-off is that fewer published prices exist, so you need to check the details before booking. That is especially true for transfers and boat activities.
Compare 2027 Zambia lake getaway packages and request verified quotes
Zambia lake getaway package prices are not available as one fixed 2027 rate. The clearest published figures are $2,890 per person for a 20-day regional itinerary, $19,300 for a May 2027 safari-and-beach trip, and $153 per night for Lake Kariba Inns. [2] [3] [4]
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 20-day regional itinerary | $2,890 per person | 20 days | Not stated | Travelers combining several regional stops [2] |
| Ultimate Zambia safari and beach | From $19,300 | Not stated | Not stated | Two people sharing a high-end combined trip [3] |
| Ultimate Zambia deposit | From $3,200 | Not stated | Not stated | Travelers securing a May 2027 booking [3] |
| Lake Kariba Inns, Siavonga | $153 nightly | One night reference | 3.5 out of 5 | Independent lake stays [4] |
| Zambia and Malawi family itinerary | $10,167 per person | 12 days | Not stated | Families combining safari and Lake Malawi [7] |
The $2,890 figure is useful for budget planning, but it does not answer the cost of a lake-only holiday. The source describes a 20-day regional itinerary and does not state a standalone Ndole Bay Beach or Lake Kariba package rate. [2]
The $19,300 figure needs careful reading. Scott Dunn lists a May 2027 safari-and-beach trip with a deposit from $3,200 and a price from $19,300. The company says its pricing is a guideline for two people sharing and excludes special offers. [3]
Peak periods can affect prices in a major way. Scott Dunn names Christmas, New Year, festivals, and public holidays as periods that can change the cost. [3] May therefore gives you a published planning point, but it does not guarantee the lowest available rate.
SafariFind lets you compare tour operators and read authentic traveler reviews before you choose. Find verified operators for a Zambia lake trip with clear package prices.
Start by deciding whether you want a lake-only break or a wider safari itinerary. A lake-only trip needs confirmed lodging and water activities. A combined trip may include wildlife areas, transfers, and several internal flights or road legs, so the total price can rise quickly.
Lake-only escape: Choose this plan if you want quiet shore time, fishing, and boat activities. Lake Kariba gives you the clearest published accommodation reference, while Ndole Bay Beach and Lake Tanganyika need direct price checks.
Safari plus lake: Choose this plan if you want game viewing before relaxing beside the water. A published 12-day family itinerary covers Victoria Falls, South Luangwa, and Lake Malawi at $10,167 per person. [7] Lake Malawi is outside Zambia, so check border travel and the full route.
Regional circuit: Choose this plan if the journey matters as much as the lake. The listed 20-day itinerary costs $2,890 per person, but its research summary does not give a full route or lake-only breakdown. [2]
Lusaka can serve as a planning point for a wider Zambia trip. Travelers who begin near Livingstone can compare the guide to Livingstone safari package prices before adding lake time.
Some travelers may also pair water travel with a safari in the Lower Zambezi. The Lower Zambezi package cost guide can help you compare a river-focused stay with a lake-focused stay.
SafariFind helps you request quotes from verified operators instead of comparing vague headline prices. Use the same questions for every quote. That makes the cheapest option easier to judge.
Do not assume a lake package works like an ocean beach holiday. Ask about swimming rules, water conditions, shore access, and boat safety. The right details can change your choice more than a small price difference.
Comparing Zambia lake packages protects your budget because published prices cover different products. A room-only rate cannot match a guided safari. A 20-day regional itinerary cannot match a two-night lake stay. Compare the same inclusions, dates, room level, and activities before you judge value.
Lake Kariba Inns gives a simple lodging benchmark at $153 nightly, with a May 26 to May 27 total listed at $177 per night. [4] A package with meals, transfers, and a boat trip should cost more than a room-only stay. That higher price may still offer better value.
Luxury packages need even closer checks. The May 2027 Scott Dunn trip starts at $19,300 and requires a deposit from $3,200. Its pricing is a guideline for two people sharing, and special offers are excluded. [3] Ask whether the figure includes international flights, internal transport, and activities.
Travelers who want wetlands can read about Blue Lagoon National Park package costs. Those who want a remote floodplain trip can compare the Bangweulu Wetlands access and package guide. These options are different from a beach stay, but they may fit travelers who care more about water landscapes than swimming.
SafariFind lists verified operators and authentic reviews in one place. That matters when a destination has few public lake-only prices. You can compare the operator's offer, then ask for a custom quote that matches your dates.
| Check | Question to ask | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Price unit | Is the rate per person, room, or night? | Prevents false comparisons |
| Activities | Are boats, fishing, and guides included? | Shows the real activity cost |
| Transport | Are airport and road transfers included? | Reveals hidden route costs |
| Dates | Does the quote cover May 2027 or peak holidays? | Prices can change by season [3] |
| Reviews | Do past guests mention the same lodge and guide? | Checks whether the offer matches reality |
Keep a copy of each quote. Record the date, currency, deposit, refund rules, and inclusions. Prices and availability can change before 2027, so confirm the final offer before you pay.
The best beaches in Zambia in 2027 are Ndole Bay Beach, Lake Tanganyika, and Lake Kariba. Ndole Bay Beach and Lake Tanganyika suit dedicated lake breaks. Lake Kariba suits boat trips, fishing, and waterfront wildlife viewing. [2]
A confirmed lake-only Zambia price is not stated in the available research. A 20-day regional itinerary costs $2,890 per person, while Lake Kariba Inns is listed at $153 nightly. These figures give planning benchmarks, but you need a custom lake quote. [2] [4]
A May 2027 Zambia safari-and-beach trip is listed from $19,300, with a deposit from $3,200. Scott Dunn says the price is a guideline for two people sharing and excludes special offers. [3]
Lake Kariba is a good choice for travelers who want boat trips, fishing, and waterfront wildlife viewing. [2] It suits a lake getaway more than a traditional ocean beach holiday, so confirm swimming access and included activities before booking.
Start comparing 2027 packages before your preferred dates fill. May has a published safari-and-beach option, but peak periods such as Christmas, New Year, festivals, and public holidays can affect prices. [3] Confirm availability and the deposit before making travel plans.
Use SafariFind to compare verified tour operators, package inclusions, prices, and authentic traveler reviews. Request a quote for your exact lake, dates, group size, and activities before you make a deposit.

"On 10.9. until 1.10. In 2023, I went on a trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe and a short visit to Zambia with my clients - friends. I carefully prepared the trip in cooperation with the manager of Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours, Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. After arriving in Gaborone we organized a short tour of the city ourselves and met Tongesai in Maun. Tongesai was our driver and guide practically the whole way. We visited the Okavango River Delta and its surroundings (Moremi Reserve, Mokoro boat cruise, flight over the Okavango Delta. This was followed by a visit to the Makgadikgadi Salt Flats, then the Elephant Sands area and in Botswana Chobe National Park with a cruise on the Chobe River. Then we crossed to Zimbabwe, which was the main part of our journey. In the Victoria Falls area, we visited the Monde settlement, took a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, followed by a cruise on the Zambezi River as part of a visit to the national park of the same name. We also walked past Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwean side and had a Boma dinner in the evening (too much of a "tourist thing"). On the Zambian side of the falls we saw white rhinos in Mosi - oa - Tunya National Park, then visited the museum in Livingstone and walked the Zambian side of the falls. From Victoria Falls, we headed to Hwange National Park, where we had a beautiful program - a safari, and after Hwange, there was also a very interesting program in Matobo National Park (there, among other things, white rhinos (a mother with her little daughter), beautiful rock formations and prehistoric cave drawings. The next place visited was Khami with very interesting buildings, and then we visited the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, which are among the most important world monuments. This was followed by a visit to the Chinhoya Karst and finally the gallery in Harare. I would also like to comment on the provision of services: Accommodation in the hotels was at the standard, expected level, only the service at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel was rather lazy. Accommodation in lodges - very good and the best accommodation was in Iganyana tented camp in Hwange National Park, mainly due to the extraordinary professionalism and very friendly attitude of the staff there towards us, the visitors. I must also highly praise all the local guides we met everywhere, e.g. in Chobe, Hwange and Matobo National Parks. I want to emphasize that this journey is one of the most interesting that I have made around the world. I believe that my clients - friends were also satisfied with the set. Thanks to the travel agency Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours and Mr. Tongesai Mutematsaka. I recommend Cultural Vibes Travel & Tours to anyone considering a trip to Zimbabwe."

"Tongesai was awesome from the start. I knew he was a good tour operator because he answered all of my questions in a timely manner and no question was ever stupid. Everything was just as he said once we arrived and really it was better. We prepared for about a year in advance for this trip and the tour operator was instrumental and making this trip a success. I highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who wants to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana. Give Tongesai a call or email, and you will 100% not be disappointed. I have a very deep understanding of border crossing and transportation challenges in many African countries at this point because of the efforts of the tour operator. This makes my wife and I have very comfortable to approach another visit or look at visiting a different African country."
