Beira Safari Packages 2027: Gorongosa Trips and Costs range from $650 per person sharing for a Gorongosa Wild Camp package to $9,450 for a 2027 photo safari. Beira connects to Gorongosa by a 35-minute Air Gorongosa charter after a flight from Johannesburg. Compare verified packages, dates, and reviews before booking your 2027 trip.
Gorongosa National Park sits inland from Beira, yet the journey can be surprisingly simple. A short flight links Beira with the park, while safari prices cover a wide range. That makes Beira a useful starting point for travelers who want a Mozambique wildlife trip in 2027.
Beira Safari Packages 2027: Gorongosa Trips and Costs cover basic all-inclusive camp stays, full-board restoration safaris, and high-end photo departures. The right choice depends on your budget, trip length, accommodation style, and interest in photography or conservation.
Quick answer: A Gorongosa trip from Beira costs $650 per person sharing for selected Wild Camp packages. A six-day full-board safari costs $5,245 to $6,245 per person sharing. A 2027 photo safari costs $9,450 per person at the listed early-bird rate. Flight plans usually route through Beira [1][2][3][4].

Beira Safari Packages 2027: Gorongosa Trips and Costs are travel plans that use Beira as the gateway to Gorongosa National Park. The packages can include park accommodation, meals, scheduled safari activities, flights, or a private charter. Prices differ because the travel styles differ.
Go2Africa lists a six-day Gorongosa Restoration Project safari with full board. The price is $5,245 to $6,245 per person sharing, depending on the travel period [1]. Full board means breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the listed package details.
Accommodationmozambique.co.za lists Gorongosa Wild Camp packages from $650 per person sharing. The offer includes accommodation, all meals, and scheduled safari activities [4]. This is the clearest low-cost reference in the research data, but you should confirm the 2027 rate before paying a deposit.
Wild Eye lists a 2027 Gorongosa Photo Safari at an early-bird price of $9,450 per person. The special ends on September 6, 2026, so travelers reading this in October 2026 should confirm whether that rate remains available [3].
Gorongosa is a strong choice for travelers who want wildlife viewing with a clear conservation focus. The trip also works well for people who prefer a less crowded route than a standard beach holiday. Still, the price gap between $650 and $9,450 is large. Read the inclusions line by line.
Explore Mozambique safari packages to compare destinations, operators, and trip styles before choosing a Gorongosa route.
Beira is the main arrival point used in the listed Gorongosa flight plan. Airlink operates daily flights from Johannesburg to Beira in about 1 hour 40 minutes. An Air Gorongosa charter then flies from Beira to the park's Chitengo airstrip in about 35 minutes [2].
Ethiopian Airlines also operates flights to Beira five times each week, according to the Gorongosa Safaris fact sheet [2]. Your operator should confirm the connection, baggage rules, and transfer timing before you book international flights.
Gorongosa safari packages cost $650 to $9,450 per person in the listed 2027 research data. The lowest figure applies to selected Wild Camp packages, while the highest figure applies to a specialist photo safari. A six-day full-board trip sits between those two options at $5,245 to $6,245 [1][3][4].
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gorongosa Wild Camp | From $650 per person sharing | Not stated | Not stated | Lower-cost all-inclusive camp stay |
| Go2Africa Gorongosa Restoration Project | $5,245 to $6,245 per person sharing | 6 days | Not stated | Full-board wildlife and conservation trip |
| Wild Eye Gorongosa Photo Safari | $9,450 per person early-bird rate | Not stated | Not stated | Dedicated wildlife photographers |
| Mozambique Experience by Across Africa Tours | From $4,615 per person | 12 days, 11 nights | 3 tour reviews listed | Longer countrywide itinerary |
The Across Africa Tours Mozambique Experience is listed from $4,615 per person for 12 days and 11 nights. The booking requires at least two travelers [7]. This itinerary is longer than a direct Gorongosa trip, so compare the total route before treating it as a cheaper safari alternative.
Price labels can hide major differences. One package may include meals and game drives but exclude flights. Another may include transfers, accommodation, and a specialist guide. Ask for a written list of inclusions before comparing two prices.
Muzimu Lodge is described as having six luxury tents and three island tents. The island tents are scheduled from April 2027 [2]. Chicari Camp is described as having eight safari tents and one two-bedroom treehide unit [2]. These details matter if you want a small camp or need a larger family unit.
SafariFind can help you compare tour operators and read authentic reviews before you commit. Compare Gorongosa safari packages by price and trip length, then request quotes for your preferred 2027 dates.
The $650 Wild Camp price is the best starting point for a budget check. The $5,245 to $6,245 Go2Africa option costs more, but it offers six days and full board. The $9,450 Wild Eye option targets photographers who want a specialist trip rather than a simple park visit.
My view is simple. Do not compare these offers as if they are the same product. Compare the time in the park, the guide service, the camp, the flight plan, and the number of included meals. A low headline price can rise after transfers and activities are added.
Plan a Beira to Gorongosa safari by confirming flights, charter transfers, accommodation, meals, and 2027 availability in that order. The listed route uses Johannesburg to Beira on Airlink, then a 35-minute Air Gorongosa charter to Chitengo airstrip [2]. Build your booking around that connection.
Start with your reason for going. A Wild Camp package suits travelers who want a simple all-inclusive stay at the lowest listed price. A restoration project safari suits travelers who want a longer, full-board plan. A photo safari suits people who care about photography time and specialist guidance.
Known for: Gorongosa trips are known in the supplied package data for wildlife activities, conservation travel, tented accommodation, and access through Beira. The sources do not give one universal list of included activities for every operator, so request the final itinerary before booking.
Best for: Gorongosa is best for travelers who want a park-based trip, photographers who need a dedicated departure, and visitors who prefer a structured safari plan. Families should ask about the two-bedroom treehide unit at Chicari Camp [2].
Getting there: Airlink flights connect Johannesburg and Beira in about 1 hour 40 minutes. An Air Gorongosa charter then connects Beira with Gorongosa in about 35 minutes [2]. Ethiopian Airlines serves Beira five times per week, according to the same fact sheet [2].
Ask the operator whether your international arrival connects on the same day. Also ask about luggage limits and what happens if a flight arrives late. These questions are plain, but they can prevent an expensive missed charter.
Gorongosa accommodation ranges from Wild Camp stays to luxury tented lodge options in the listed data. Muzimu Lodge has six luxury tents and three island tents planned from April 2027. Chicari Camp has eight safari tents and one two-bedroom treehide unit [2].
Ask whether the quoted room is private or shared. The $650 price is listed per person sharing. The same room may cost more for a solo traveler or a private booking.
Travelers who want more than Gorongosa can compare a wider Mozambique safari tour guide for 2027. A combined route may include coast time, but it can also add transfers and extra nights.
Beira can work as a gateway rather than the main beach stop. Travelers adding coast time can review Bazaruto Archipelago packages, or compare the seven-day Gorongosa and Bazaruto itinerary. Keep the safari and beach budgets separate so the total remains clear.
For a longer coastal stay, the 2027 Bazaruto lodge rate guide gives you another price check. SafariFind also lets you read reviews and compare operators before asking for a final quote.
Beira safari packages to Gorongosa cost $650 to $9,450 per person in the listed research data. Wild Camp packages start at $650 per person sharing, while a six-day full-board safari costs $5,245 to $6,245. A specialist 2027 photo safari is listed at $9,450 per person [1][3][4].
You can fly from Beira to Gorongosa on an Air Gorongosa charter. The listed flight takes about 35 minutes and arrives at Chitengo airstrip. Travelers usually reach Beira from Johannesburg on an Airlink flight that takes about 1 hour 40 minutes [2].
The Gorongosa Wild Camp package is advertised from $650 per person sharing. The listed inclusions are accommodation, all meals, and scheduled safari activities. Confirm the 2027 price, transport, room type, and park fees with the operator before booking [4].
Wild Eye listed an early-bird price of $9,450 per person for a 2027 Gorongosa Photo Safari. The special ended on September 6, 2026, so travelers booking in October 2026 should ask Wild Eye to confirm the current price [3].
Muzimu Lodge has six luxury tents and three island tents planned from April 2027. Chicari Camp has eight safari tents and one two-bedroom treehide unit. Ask the operator about room sharing, child policies, and availability for your exact dates [2].

Beira also makes the trip practical. Airlink connects Johannesburg to Beira in about 1 hour 40 minutes, followed by a 35-minute charter to Gorongosa [2]. Confirm the 2027 travel period, room type, meal plan, and flight inclusions before paying.
For a wider Mozambique trip, compare Gorongosa with Tofo, Pemba, or the 2027 Bazaruto beach package guide. Compare verified safari packages on SafariFind, read authentic reviews, and request a quote from a verified operator for your 2027 trip.
Planning early gives you more time to match flights, camps, and budgets. In 2027, a careful comparison should matter as much as the destination itself.

"This is the second time I am writing a review of my experience of traveling with Kikwetu Cultural Adventures. Last year, Ken Benson and his team organized an 80 day custom made safari through 7 African countries for me with such outstanding logistics and customer service throughout the safari, that this year I decided to turn again to Ken and his team to ask for his professional assistance in organizing a half-around-the-world tour for me. I am 71 years old and decided that it was now or never for me to travel to some parts of the world which always have exerted a lot of attraction over me. I communicated to Ken via e-mail my ideas of where I wanted to go and how long I wanted to stay in each place and asked him to arrange flight connection, ground transportation, accommodation, sightseeing, etc. It turned out to be the safari of a lifetime: 31 days and 7500 km by road through rural and religious Ethiopia. One week in Nairobi with visits to museums and galleries, the Sheldrick’s elephant orphanage, a hike through Hell’s Gate close to Naivasha, Kibera slum and a very enjoyable walking tour through down town Nairobi which is especially recommendable on a Sunday. Flight from Nairobi to Nampula and ground transportation to Nacala, Mozambique. From Nacala, I had arranged for a freighter travel to Singapore with a stop over in Mauritius Island, but with three weeks on my hands while waiting for another freighter to come along and take me back home to Mexico across the Indian and the Pacific Ocean, Ken arranged for a 12 day safari in Indonesia, visiting Central and East Java, Sulawesi and Bali, and one week in Malaysia with highlights in Georgetown, Ipoh and Malacca. My journey lasted 122 days and whenever network connections were available, Ken kept track of my travels and was in contact with me and/or the subcontracted provider to make sure, that everything went according to program and schedule. It was a most gratifying experience and I want to thank Ken, Livingstone, Paul and the rest of Kikwetu Cultural Adventures for having made one more of my dreams come true. There is no doubt in my mind that, if you are interested in a truly custom made safari inside Africa and in neighboring countries, Kikwetu Cultural Adventures is the best choice for getting what you are looking for with regard to advice, support, customer service and price."
