Bazaruto Islands Tour Cost 2027: Packages for First-Timers range from about $1,800 to $16,235 per person for a five-day itinerary, depending on the lodge, transfers, and activities. First-time visitors should compare five-day and eight-day options, check what the price includes, and confirm 2027 availability before booking.
One five-day Bazaruto itinerary reaches $16,235 per person in 2027, while another listed option starts near $1,800 [1]. That wide gap shows why careful package comparison matters before you pay a deposit.
Bazaruto Islands Tour Cost 2027: Packages for First-Timers depend on more than the number of nights. Lodge style, charter flights, helicopter transfers, meals, and group size all affect the final bill. Some offers also reduce the room cost through promotions.
Quick answer: A five-day Bazaruto Islands tour costs about $1,800-$16,235 per person in 2027. An eight-day small-group tour is listed from $2,046 per person. Luxury island stays cost more, while special offers such as “stay 6, pay 5” can lower accommodation costs [1][3][5].
This guide explains the main price bands, package types, and transfer costs. It also shows how first-time travelers can compare operators and avoid unclear inclusions. SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, package details, and authentic traveler reviews.
Bazaruto Islands tour cost in 2027 is the total amount charged for an island holiday package, usually covering accommodation and selected travel services. A five-day itinerary is listed from about $1,800 to $16,235 per person. The difference reflects the package level and its included services [1].
The Bazaruto Archipelago is a group of island destinations in Mozambique’s Bazaruto Archipelago. First-time packages often combine island accommodation with flights or boat transfers. However, each operator sets its own inclusions, so two packages with the same duration may have very different prices.
Most Mozambique holidays are estimated at about $5,000-$10,000 per person, excluding international flights [1]. This wider holiday estimate helps place a Bazaruto trip in context. A lower-cost package may focus on shared travel and a shorter stay. A luxury package may include a private lodge, premium meals, and faster transfers.
Bazaruto packages are built around an island stay rather than a long overland safari. A five-day plan gives travelers a clear introduction without requiring a long time away. An eight-day small-group option is listed from $2,046 per person, giving travelers a longer schedule at a published starting price [3].
Price alone does not show value. A $1,800 package may not include the same transfers, meals, or activities as a $16,235 package. Therefore, first-timers should ask for a full list of inclusions, exclusions, taxes, transfer times, and cancellation rules.
Package names also need close attention. A five-day Bazaruto plan may include three nights on Benguerra Island and a scheduled group charter flight back to Johannesburg [7]. That structure differs from a private resort stay with a helicopter transfer.
Compare the first-timer five-day Bazaruto itinerary to understand how nights, transfers, and package costs fit together.
A Bazaruto tour costs about $1,800-$16,235 per person for five days in 2027, based on the listed package range. An eight-day small-group package starts at $2,046 per person. These prices are not equal comparisons, because duration, accommodation, transport, and inclusions differ [1][3].
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Five-day Bazaruto itinerary | $1,800-$16,235 per person | 5 days | Not provided | First-time visitors comparing budgets |
| Bazaruto Archipelago small-group tour | From $2,046 per person | 8 days | Not provided | Travelers wanting a longer group trip |
| Azura Marlin Beach special | Price varies | 6 nights | Not provided | Travelers using a stay-longer offer |
| Mozambique Islands Archipelago itinerary | Price varies | 5 days | Not provided | Island travelers using a group charter |
The table shows why you should compare like with like. The $2,046 starting price covers eight days, while the five-day range reaches $16,235 at the luxury end. A “price from” figure is a starting point, not a guaranteed final price for every departure.
Accommodation is often the largest cost difference. A package using a premium island lodge will not match a shared small-group tour. The published six-night Azura Marlin Beach offer uses a “stay 6, pay 5” structure, which can improve value for travelers who want a longer stay [5].
Transfers also matter. Anantara lists one-way helicopter transfers at $345 per person, including taxes. Return transfers cost $690 per person, including taxes [8]. Anantara also states that at least two people must travel on each helicopter flight. Children aged two and older pay the full transfer rate [8].
Flights can add another major line item. One five-day Mozambique Islands Archipelago itinerary includes three nights at a Benguerra Island property and a scheduled group charter flight returning to Johannesburg [7]. Ask whether the charter is included, scheduled, or subject to a separate payment.
Compare Bazaruto packages and prices for your 2027 budget before requesting a quote from a verified operator.
First-time Bazaruto travelers should choose a package by total cost, transfer plan, and lodge style rather than headline price. A clear quote must show the nights, flights, transfers, meals, taxes, activities, and booking terms. These details make package comparisons fair and prevent surprise costs.
A five-day itinerary is the simplest starting point. It gives you enough time to settle into island life without committing to a longer holiday. The published five-day range, however, runs from $1,800 to $16,235 per person. That range covers very different travel styles [1].
An eight-day small-group tour starts from $2,046 per person [3]. This option may suit travelers who prefer a longer schedule and shared arrangements. Check the exact route before booking, because “Bazaruto” packages can include different islands, properties, and transfer points.
Anantara’s published helicopter rate is $345 per person one way or $690 return, including taxes [8]. The resort requires at least two people per helicopter flight. Children aged two and older pay the full rate, so families should include these charges in the first budget estimate [8].
A group charter can offer a different cost structure. The five-day Mozambique Islands Archipelago itinerary includes three nights at a Benguerra Island property and a scheduled group charter flight returning to Johannesburg [7]. Ask who operates the flight and whether the schedule can change.
A seven-day Vilanculos-to-Maputo tour lists an age range of six and older. Across Africa Tours & Travel is the named operator for that tour [4]. This is not the same as an island-only package, but it shows why families must check age rules for each itinerary.
Families should confirm room layouts, child rates, transfer charges, and activity limits. Couples should compare private transfers with shared travel. Solo travelers should ask whether a package has a single supplement or a minimum group size.
Some travelers combine Bazaruto with other stops. The Tofo coast, Barra, and Pemba may appear in broader Mozambique plans. Travelers arriving through other regions can also review Beira or Nampula when building a longer route.
SafariFind helps you compare tour operators, read authentic reviews, and request clear quotes. Use the same checklist for every quote. This creates a useful comparison even when operators describe their inclusions in different ways.
Start by choosing your travel dates, trip length, and budget range. Then ask at least one verified operator for a detailed quote. A good booking process confirms the airport, transfer type, lodge, meals, taxes, activities, and cancellation rules before payment.
Luxury travelers should compare the full service level, not only the lodge name. Budget-conscious travelers should check shared transfers and group departures. Families should confirm every child charge before signing.
SafariFind lists packages from verified tour operators and helps travelers compare practical details. Request a quote from verified Bazaruto tour operators when you know your dates and preferred travel style.
Useful image alt text should describe the place and activity clearly. Suggested examples include “Benguerra Island beach in the Bazaruto Archipelago,” “helicopter transfer to Bazaruto Island resort,” and “first-time travelers at a Mozambique island lodge.” Clear alt text supports access and gives search engines useful context.
Travelers planning a wider Mozambique trip can also compare the Benguerra Island beach packages for 2027. Visitors interested in inland wildlife can review the Gorongosa walking safari guide separately.
A five-day Bazaruto Islands tour costs about $1,800-$16,235 per person in 2027. The final price depends on accommodation, transfers, flights, meals, activities, and the operator’s package level [1].
The published five-day Bazaruto price range starts at about $1,800 per person. An eight-day Bazaruto Archipelago small-group tour is listed from $2,046 per person, but travelers should confirm current dates and inclusions [1][3].
Anantara lists helicopter transfers at $345 per person one way and $690 per person return, including taxes. A minimum of two people is required, and children aged two and older pay the full rate [8].
International flights are excluded from most Mozambique holiday estimates. Add flight costs separately unless the written package quote clearly states that flights are included [1].
Five days is a practical length for a first Bazaruto visit. It gives travelers a short island stay and a clear package price to compare. An eight-day small-group tour suits travelers who want a longer schedule [3].

A Bazaruto Islands tour costs about $1,800-$16,235 per person for five days in 2027. The best first step is to compare packages with the same duration and similar inclusions. An eight-day small-group option starts from $2,046 per person, while luxury stays and private transfers can raise the total [1][3].

"This is the second time I am writing a review of my experience of traveling with Kikwetu Cultural Adventures. Last year, Ken Benson and his team organized an 80 day custom made safari through 7 African countries for me with such outstanding logistics and customer service throughout the safari, that this year I decided to turn again to Ken and his team to ask for his professional assistance in organizing a half-around-the-world tour for me. I am 71 years old and decided that it was now or never for me to travel to some parts of the world which always have exerted a lot of attraction over me. I communicated to Ken via e-mail my ideas of where I wanted to go and how long I wanted to stay in each place and asked him to arrange flight connection, ground transportation, accommodation, sightseeing, etc. It turned out to be the safari of a lifetime: 31 days and 7500 km by road through rural and religious Ethiopia. One week in Nairobi with visits to museums and galleries, the Sheldrick’s elephant orphanage, a hike through Hell’s Gate close to Naivasha, Kibera slum and a very enjoyable walking tour through down town Nairobi which is especially recommendable on a Sunday. Flight from Nairobi to Nampula and ground transportation to Nacala, Mozambique. From Nacala, I had arranged for a freighter travel to Singapore with a stop over in Mauritius Island, but with three weeks on my hands while waiting for another freighter to come along and take me back home to Mexico across the Indian and the Pacific Ocean, Ken arranged for a 12 day safari in Indonesia, visiting Central and East Java, Sulawesi and Bali, and one week in Malaysia with highlights in Georgetown, Ipoh and Malacca. My journey lasted 122 days and whenever network connections were available, Ken kept track of my travels and was in contact with me and/or the subcontracted provider to make sure, that everything went according to program and schedule. It was a most gratifying experience and I want to thank Ken, Livingstone, Paul and the rest of Kikwetu Cultural Adventures for having made one more of my dreams come true. There is no doubt in my mind that, if you are interested in a truly custom made safari inside Africa and in neighboring countries, Kikwetu Cultural Adventures is the best choice for getting what you are looking for with regard to advice, support, customer service and price."
