Visit between May and September, when dry conditions improve access across central southern Mozambique.
Banhine National Park Packages 2027: Prices and Tours are best planned as tailored trips, not fixed holidays. The park covers about 700,000 hectares in central southern Mozambique, midway between Pafuri and Vilanculos. [2]
As of October 2026, no verified all-in 2027 package price is available. A reported entry fee is about $10 per person per day, but park authorities should confirm that amount before payment. Transport, guides, camping, food, and fuel add separate costs. [6]
The best time to visit is May to September. Dry conditions usually make remote tracks easier to use during these months. Banhine is a better fit for travelers who value distance, planning, and quiet places over a polished lodge stay.
Think of this guide as a planning map. It explains what the park is, what a 2027 trip may include, how to prepare, and which questions to ask before you pay a deposit. SafariFind connects travelers with verified Mozambique operators, current quotes, and authentic traveler reviews.
Quick answer: A Banhine safari in 2027 has no verified all-in price. Budget first for the reported $10 daily entry fee, then request separate prices for a vehicle, guide, camping, meals, fuel, and transfers. Travel from May to September, when dry roads can make access easier.
Banhine National Park Packages 2027: Prices and Tours describe custom safari plans for a large, remote protected area in central southern Mozambique. The park was established in 1973. Its early conservation purpose included protecting giraffe and ostrich populations. [2]
Banhine National Park is about 700,000 hectares in size. It lies midway between Pafuri and Vilanculos, placing it away from Mozambique's most familiar beach routes. [2] That location matters. A trip needs a clear route plan, fuel plan, and backup plan before departure.
Banhine National Park is not a simple stopover between two major towns. The distance and road conditions shape the whole experience. Your operator may need to build a private itinerary around vehicle access, camping, water, and guide support.
Banhine National Park also has an active anti-poaching effort. More than 30 trained personnel form part of the park's anti-poaching team. These teams carry out thousands of patrol hours each year. [3] That work gives visitors useful context. A safari here takes place within a working conservation area.
Remote parks reward careful planning. A missed fuel stop or weak vehicle plan can affect every later part of a trip. For that reason, you should treat the quote as a complete operating plan, not only as a room rate.
The reported entry fee of about $10 per person per day is only one line in the budget. [6] It does not describe the full cost of reaching the park, staying there, or moving through it. Ask for each cost in writing before you compare two offers.
Travelers who want a more established safari route can compare the Gorongosa National Park entry fees and safari costs for 2027. Gorongosa offers a useful benchmark, while Banhine calls for a more custom approach.
Compare Banhine safari prices and request a 2027 quote after listing every service you need.
A Banhine safari in 2027 has no verified all-in package price as of October 2026. The reported entry fee is about $10 per person per day, subject to confirmation by park authorities. Transport, guides, camping, meals, and fuel should appear as separate quote lines.
| Cost item | 2027 planning detail |
|---|---|
| Park entry | Reported at about $10 per person per day |
| Transport | Quote separately for the vehicle and route |
| Guide | Confirm guide days and daily service fees |
| Camping | Confirm tents, camp setup, and overnight arrangements |
| Meals | Confirm food, cooking, and drinking water |
| Fuel | Ask whether fuel is included or billed separately |
This table shows why a low entry fee does not equal a low safari price. A quote may look attractive until fuel, transfers, food, and camping appear later. A good operator gives you a clear total and explains what happens if the route takes longer.
Use the same questions for every quote. Ask for the number of travelers, vehicle type, guide days, camping nights, fuel plan, meals, park fees, and transfers. Then compare the final totals, not just the entry line.
SafariFind helps travelers compare verified operators and request current prices for 2027. Read authentic reviews before choosing. Reviews can reveal how an operator handles remote routes, changes, and basic camp needs.
Compare Mozambique safari lodge rates for 2027 if you are weighing Banhine against a lodge-based trip. Lodge prices may be easier to compare, but they do not replace a proper Banhine route quote.
The confirmed planning figure is about $10 per person per day for the reported entry fee. The full Banhine safari price needs a current operator quote because the trip includes several separate services. Do not treat the entry fee as an all-inclusive rate.
Plan a Banhine National Park tour by securing a route, vehicle, guide, camp plan, fuel plan, and confirmed park payment details. May to September is the preferred travel window because dry conditions can improve access. Start planning months ahead so the operator can build a practical 2027 itinerary.
Banhine National Park is a remote destination, so your first question should be practical: how will the vehicle reach the park and return safely? The answer should name the route, fuel plan, and support available if conditions change.
Getting there: Banhine lies midway between Pafuri and Vilanculos. [2] Your operator should explain the transfer plan rather than giving only a general arrival town. If your trip connects with another Mozambique stop, ask whether the same vehicle and guide remain with you.
Pack light but prepare for basic field conditions. Carry suitable clothing, sun protection, personal medicine, a headlamp, and spare batteries. Ask your operator about water, power, communications, and waste handling before the trip.
Keep your daily plan flexible. Dry months can improve road access, but remote travel still needs time for delays. A sensible itinerary leaves room for slow tracks, vehicle checks, camp setup, and changes in the route.
Banhine National Park is a conservation area with active ranger work. More than 30 trained personnel support anti-poaching operations, and teams conduct thousands of patrol hours each year. [3] Follow guide instructions, keep distance from wildlife, and avoid leaving camp without permission.
Known for: Banhine is known for its large protected area, remote setting, and conservation history tied to giraffe and ostrich protection. [2] It is best suited to travelers who accept a simple, field-based trip and want time away from busy safari circuits.
Banhine suits travelers who want a remote park experience. Beira safari packages and Gorongosa trips may suit travelers who want a more established route. Beach-focused travelers can compare Mozambique beach resort prices for 2027 instead.
These choices are not the same product. Banhine demands more planning and a stronger focus on access. Beach resorts focus on comfort. Gorongosa packages may place more emphasis on regular game drives and lodge support.
Compare a 7-day Maputo National Park itinerary and 2027 cost guide if you want a more structured alternative. SafariFind can help you compare operators, package details, and traveler feedback before you decide.
Banhine National Park packages do not have a verified all-in 2027 price as of October 2026. The reported entry fee is about $10 per person per day. Transport, guides, camping, meals, and fuel add separate costs, so request a full quote before booking.

"This is the second time I am writing a review of my experience of traveling with Kikwetu Cultural Adventures. Last year, Ken Benson and his team organized an 80 day custom made safari through 7 African countries for me with such outstanding logistics and customer service throughout the safari, that this year I decided to turn again to Ken and his team to ask for his professional assistance in organizing a half-around-the-world tour for me. I am 71 years old and decided that it was now or never for me to travel to some parts of the world which always have exerted a lot of attraction over me. I communicated to Ken via e-mail my ideas of where I wanted to go and how long I wanted to stay in each place and asked him to arrange flight connection, ground transportation, accommodation, sightseeing, etc. It turned out to be the safari of a lifetime: 31 days and 7500 km by road through rural and religious Ethiopia. One week in Nairobi with visits to museums and galleries, the Sheldrick’s elephant orphanage, a hike through Hell’s Gate close to Naivasha, Kibera slum and a very enjoyable walking tour through down town Nairobi which is especially recommendable on a Sunday. Flight from Nairobi to Nampula and ground transportation to Nacala, Mozambique. From Nacala, I had arranged for a freighter travel to Singapore with a stop over in Mauritius Island, but with three weeks on my hands while waiting for another freighter to come along and take me back home to Mexico across the Indian and the Pacific Ocean, Ken arranged for a 12 day safari in Indonesia, visiting Central and East Java, Sulawesi and Bali, and one week in Malaysia with highlights in Georgetown, Ipoh and Malacca. My journey lasted 122 days and whenever network connections were available, Ken kept track of my travels and was in contact with me and/or the subcontracted provider to make sure, that everything went according to program and schedule. It was a most gratifying experience and I want to thank Ken, Livingstone, Paul and the rest of Kikwetu Cultural Adventures for having made one more of my dreams come true. There is no doubt in my mind that, if you are interested in a truly custom made safari inside Africa and in neighboring countries, Kikwetu Cultural Adventures is the best choice for getting what you are looking for with regard to advice, support, customer service and price."
