Antananarivo Tours 2027: Prices, Day Trips and Booking range from about $50 to $200 per person for one-day city and Lemurs Park trips. Longer Madagascar tours start at $2,763 for 10 days and reach $4,015 for a 14-day adventure. Choose dates with confirmed 2027 departures, then compare verified operators and reviews through SafariFind.
One Madagascar tour can cost $50 for a city day or $21,198 for a 16-day program. That wide gap makes Antananarivo a useful place to start planning.
Antananarivo Tours 2027: Prices, Day Trips and Booking is a guide to city visits, short excursions, and longer Madagascar routes. It explains what each price covers, how long trips last, and what to check before you pay. The goal is simple. You should know whether a city tour, private trip, or group safari fits your plans.
Antananarivo is the main starting point for several island itineraries. Intrepid lists a 14-day trip that starts and ends in the capital. HT Agency Tours lists a 10-day group safari with the same start and end points [6][7]. That makes a city stay easy to add before or after a longer route.
Quick answer: Antananarivo day tours cost about $50 to $200 per person in 2027. A city tour suits first-time visitors, while a Lemurs Park visit adds wildlife close to the capital. Longer trips begin at $2,763 for 10 days. Compare inclusions before booking, since guide service, park fees, transport, and group size affect value.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, listed packages, and authentic traveler reviews. Use this guide to narrow your route first. Then compare the details that matter, such as price, days, start city, and private or shared transport.
Antananarivo tours in 2027 are guided trips based in Madagascar's capital, ranging from one-day city visits to multi-region journeys. The simplest options combine local sights with a Lemurs Park visit. Longer programs use Antananarivo as a gateway to Madagascar's southern, eastern, western, or full-island routes.
Antananarivo city tours are listed at about $50 to $100 per person for one day [4]. These trips work well when you have a short stop before a flight or a longer safari. They also give you a first look at local history, markets, streets, and daily life.
Lemurs Park and Antananarivo city tours are listed at about $50 to $200 per person for one day [4]. This combined option suits travelers who want a city visit and a wildlife stop without leaving the capital area for several days.
Known for: Antananarivo tours are known for flexible trip length, city access, and easy links to longer Madagascar routes. A one-day plan keeps costs low. A private trip gives your group more control over timing and stops.
Best for: First-time visitors, travelers with a short connection, families seeking a simple day plan, and guests starting a longer island itinerary. A private Madagascar listing includes an English-speaking driver-guide for groups of one to five travelers. Groups of six or more receive a private guide [8].
Private Madagascar tours can also include air-conditioned transfers, park entrance fees, and local guide services [8]. These details matter because a low headline price may not include every service you need. Ask for an itemized plan before making a deposit.
Antananarivo is also a practical base for trips beyond the capital. Travelers can continue toward Andasibe I, Ranomafana National Park, or Antsirabe. Each route changes the travel time, price, and number of hotel nights.
Compare 2027 Madagascar day tours and city packages on SafariFind to review prices, operators, and traveler feedback before you choose.
Antananarivo matters because several longer tours begin and end there. The capital gives you a clear meeting point for group travel. It also lets you add a city day without changing the main route.
A short visit is also useful when your international flight schedule leaves limited time. You can book one city day, add a Lemurs Park visit, and then continue to another region. This approach keeps the plan easy to follow.
Antananarivo tours cost about $50 to $200 per person for one-day experiences in 2027. Longer Madagascar itineraries cost much more because they include transport, hotels, guides, park visits, and several regions. The right comparison depends on trip length and what the package includes.
| Tour type | Price | Duration | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Antananarivo city tour | About $50 to $100 per person [4] | 1 day | Culture and first visits |
| Lemurs Park and city tour | About $50 to $200 per person [4] | 1 day | City and lemur viewing |
| HT Agency Tours group safari | US$2,763 per person [7] | 10 days | Group travel |
| Intrepid Madagascar Adventure | US$4,015 per person [6] | 14 days | Affordable original-style travel |
| Southern Madagascar itinerary | From $3,885 [4] | 10 days | Southern route planning |
The HT Agency Tours 2027 Madagascar Group Safari costs US$2,763 per person for 10 days. It starts and ends in Antananarivo [7]. This option suits travelers who want a fixed group plan rather than a short city excursion.
Intrepid lists its Madagascar Adventure at US$4,015 per person for 14 days. The listed departures run from March 2027 to November 2028. The itinerary starts and ends in Antananarivo and accepts travelers aged 15 to 99 [6].
The southern Madagascar itinerary starts at $3,885 for 10 days [4]. A southern route is a different choice from a city tour. It needs more time, more road travel, and a larger budget. Therefore, compare the full plan instead of comparing only the daily rate.
Group size is one major price factor. A private guide and private vehicle give you more control, but a shared departure can lower the cost per traveler. The private tour listing describes different guide arrangements for groups of one to five and groups of six or more [8].
Included services also change value. Look for airport transfers, hotel nights, meals, park entrance fees, local guides, and road transport. Air-conditioned private transfers are included in the private tour listing, along with park fees and local guide services [8].
Trip length matters too. A one-day city plan cannot offer the same island coverage as a 10-day or 14-day tour. The longer itinerary may look expensive at first, but it may cover transport and accommodation across many travel days.
Request a quote from verified Madagascar tour operators for your 2027 budget and compare inclusions before paying.
The best Antananarivo day trip depends on your time and interest. Choose a city tour for culture, a Lemurs Park combination for a short wildlife stop, or a private plan when you need flexible timing. One-day tours cost about $50 to $200 per person [4].
An Antananarivo city tour is the simplest first visit. The listed price is about $50 to $100 per person for one day [4]. This option suits travelers who want an introduction to the capital before starting a longer Madagascar route.
Ask whether the tour includes hotel pickup, a guide, transport, and entry fees. These details can change the real cost. A clear itinerary also helps you judge how much time you will spend walking, driving, or visiting sites.
The Lemurs Park and city combination costs about $50 to $200 per person for one day [4]. It gives you a city experience and a nearby wildlife visit in one booking. Families and first-time visitors may prefer this simple mix.
Keep the day realistic. A city tour and park visit need enough time for travel between stops. Ask the operator for the pickup time, return time, and the length of each visit.
Private day touring suits travelers who want their own guide and vehicle. The private Madagascar listing includes an English-speaking driver-guide for groups of one to five travelers. It also lists private air-conditioned transfers and local guide services [8].
Private travel is useful when your flight arrives late, your group has children, or you want a slower pace. It also helps when you need to connect the city with another route. The trade-off is a higher cost than a shared departure.
Antananarivo can be the first stop on a longer Madagascar trip. Travelers planning an eastern route can read the 5-day Andasibe itinerary and safari cost guide. Travelers considering another island route can compare the wider Madagascar safari routes and prices for 2027.
Other destinations may fit after your capital stay. These include Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, Anja Community Reserve, and Lokobe National Park. These places require different travel plans, so avoid treating them as quick add-ons to a one-day city tour.
Book Antananarivo tours for 2027 by choosing your route, checking the exact inclusions, and confirming departure dates in writing. Start with a one-day plan if your time is short. Choose a group or private itinerary when you want wider Madagascar coverage.
One day is enough for a city tour or a city and Lemurs Park combination. Ten days allows a wider route, such as the HT Agency Tours group safari at US$2,763 per person [7]. Fourteen days allows the Intrepid Madagascar Adventure at US$4,015 per person [6].
A 21-day natural-history tour covers six regions plus the capital city, according to Galapagos Travel [5]. This is a major commitment. It suits travelers who want broad island coverage and have enough time for a long route.
Read the operator profile, package page, and traveler reviews before booking. SafariFind helps travelers compare verified tour operators and authentic reviews in one place. Look for clear details about guides, vehicles, hotels, meals, entry fees, and transfers.
Ask for the 2027 departure calendar. The Intrepid listing includes departures from March 2027 to November 2028 [6]. That gives travelers a useful planning window, but you still need to confirm the date and remaining spaces.
Shared tours can make a longer trip more accessible. Private trips give you more control over the daily plan. The best choice depends on your group size, budget, and need for flexible travel.
Private tour information lists air-conditioned transfers, park fees, and local guide services as included services [8]. Use this as a checklist when comparing other packages. A similar headline price may offer fewer inclusions.
Travelers who want beaches can explore SafariFind's guide to the best beaches in Madagascar for 2027. Those interested in western wildlife can review Lokobe National Park safari packages and prices. Use these pages to decide whether Antananarivo is your main stay or only your starting point.
Do not pack every destination into one short trip. Madagascar routes take time. A smaller plan with clear travel days is often easier than a rushed island tour.
Antananarivo tours cost about $50 to $200 per person for one-day city and Lemurs Park trips in 2027 [4]. Longer tours cost more. HT Agency Tours lists a 10-day group safari at US$2,763 per person, while Intrepid lists a 14-day adventure at US$4,015 per person [6][7].

HT Agency Tours lists a 10-day group safari, Intrepid lists a 14-day adventure, and Galapagos Travel describes a 21-day tour across six regions plus the capital [5][6][7].

"From start to finish, this tour was an unforgettable experience. When enquiring about planning this trip ,Tony was very responsive, informative and. answered all our questions as we went along .When my suitcase didn't arrive in Madagascar Tony sorted it for me and negotiated with the airline on my behalf, going above and beyond and was very much appreciated Our guides were all knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual and clearly passionate about what they do, which made the whole trip both fun and informative. The itinerary was perfectly balanced — we saw all the major highlights without ever feeling rushed, and there were plenty of opportunities to take photos, ask questions, and just soak up the atmosphere. The transportation was comfortable, everything ran smoothly and on time, and as it was a private tour we were able to spend as little or as much time at each place as we chose. Every stop had something unique to offer, and the insider stories and local tips really brought the culture to life. It’s rare to find a tour that gets every detail right, but this one truly did, guides were on time , transfers were smooth, everything was flexible to our wishes. Hugh thanks to Tony, Sidney, Princee and Nico. The drivers were all awesome and we always felt safe despite some roads been very African massage- bumpy ! We left with amazing memories, beautiful photos, and a much deeper appreciation for the country. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat!"

"We have recently finished a 10 day tour of Madagascar in April 2025 using the operator “Madagascar Natural Tours” from start to finish it almost felt too good to be true, I have never met any one else from Australia who has been to Madagascar so we were very hesitant in whether it would be safe and had no idea how to organise a holiday there or what to expect. Harilala was extremely professional and communicative the entire way and answered every single (too many) questions of ours and made us feel comfortable and excited. He planned our itinerary just perfectly we listed a couple of things we had wanted to see - baobab avenue, lemurs and Nosy Be. He organised our whole itinerary, accomodation and flights for us so that it flowed seamlessly. He provided options in accomodation as we were seeking honeymoon style resorts. The hotels that he booked were beautiful, clean, great food and lovely staff! We had a few internal flights in our itinerary and it was so nice stepping off the plane and trusting that there would be a guide there waiting for us to get us to our hotel. The few times during our stay we had a question regarding our tour, Harilala would reply to our messages almost immediately and paid very careful attention to ensure we were happy and getting the most out of our tour. Using Madagascar Natural Tours took all stress out of the holiday / planning and allowed us to just show up and make memories of a lifetime! I would highly recommend this company to anybody curious to explore Madagascar! Particularly if you do not speak French, we struggled with the language barrier however all guides had amazing English which was such a relief. We can’t wait to come back in a few years time!!"
