Andohahela National Park packages for 2027 start at US$12,995 per person on a published Madagascar program. The price includes internal flights and park entry fees. The program begins and ends in Antananarivo and visits Berenty, the Mandrare River, and Andohahela in late April and early May 2027. [1][3][8]
US$12,995 is the published starting price for one 2027 Andohahela program, and that figure changes how you plan the trip. [1]
Andohahela National Park Fees and Safari Costs 2027 start at US$12,995 per person on the published program. This price includes internal flights and park entry fees. It does not give you a complete personal budget, however. International airfare, insurance, and personal expenses need confirmation before you book. [1]
Andohahela National Park is in southeast Madagascar. The published route begins and ends in Antananarivo, then adds Berenty, the Mandrare River, and Andohahela. Key travel dates fall in late April and early May 2027. [3][8]
Here is the quick answer. Budget at least US$12,995 per person for the published 2027 program. Add money for costs that sit outside the listed package price. The program asks for a US$2,500 deposit, with the remaining balance due 95 days before departure. [1][3]
This guide separates the published package price from extra trip costs. It also explains the payment dates, route, booking steps, and questions to ask an operator. That matters because a national park fee and a full safari package are two different things.
Andohahela National Park Fees and Safari Costs 2027 refer to the entry costs and wider travel budget for visiting the park during 2027. The clearest published figure is US$12,995 per person for a program that includes internal flights and park entry fees. The listed route also covers Berenty and the Mandrare River. [1][3]
The published 2027 package starts at US$12,995 per person. This is a package price, not a standalone Andohahela entrance fee. Internal flights and park entry fees are included in the listed amount. [1]
That distinction is easy to miss. If you search for a park fee alone, you may expect a small entry charge. If you book the published program, you are paying for a larger trip with transport, planned visits, and several places in Madagascar.
International airfare, travel insurance, and personal expenses require confirmation before purchase. They are not confirmed as included in the US$12,995 amount in the available package details. [1] Ask for a written list of inclusions before paying your deposit.
Antananarivo is the start and end city for the published program. [3] This makes the capital your main arrival and departure point. Build your international flights around those two city stays, rather than planning a separate return route from southern Madagascar.
Berenty, the Mandrare River, and Andohahela National Park are part of the published itinerary. [3][8] The route therefore suits travelers who want a wider southern Madagascar trip. It is not a single-location park visit.
Late April and early May 2027 are the key dates shown for the itinerary. [8] The listed schedule includes travel to Berenty on April 28, followed by wildlife activities around Berenty before the route continues. [8] Check the final departure schedule before booking flights.
US$12,995 is a high starting budget, but it covers major trip elements. Internal flights can save long road transfers across Madagascar. Park entry fees are also built into the published figure. [1]
The number still leaves planning work. You need to price international flights, insurance, meals or drinks outside the package, tips, and personal purchases if the operator excludes them. These details affect your real trip total.

Compare published Andohahela National Park packages for 2027 before you choose your dates, inclusions, and payment plan.
The main Andohahela safari cost is US$12,995 per person on the published 2027 program. The package includes internal flights and park entry fees, while the payment schedule requires a US$2,500 deposit and a final balance 95 days before departure. [1][3]
Price range: The published starting price is US$12,995 per person. [1] One published figure is available for this program, so use it as a planning base rather than a promise that every 2027 itinerary will cost the same.
Included: Internal flights and park entry fees are included in the published price. [1] The package also follows a planned route through Antananarivo, Berenty, the Mandrare River, and Andohahela National Park. [3][8]
Requires confirmation: International airfare, insurance, and personal expenses need confirmation from the operator. [1] Treat these as separate budget lines until the booking terms say otherwise.
The published program requires a US$2,500 deposit upon registration. [3] That deposit is a large first payment, but it is far below the full package price. You should check the cancellation rules before sending money.
The remaining balance is due 95 days before departure. [3] Mark that date as soon as your travel dates become firm. A late payment can affect your booking under the operator's terms.
Use a simple budget sheet with four lines:
Ask whether the package price applies to your exact departure date. The published program uses dates in late April and early May 2027. [8] If you want different dates, the price and route may need a fresh quote.
Ask for the full list of services behind the word "included." Confirm internal flight routes, park entry, accommodation, meals, transfers, guide services, and luggage rules. The available price summary confirms internal flights and park entry fees, but your final booking document should state every service.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic traveler reviews. Use the Madagascar safari and beach holiday cost guide to compare this park-focused route with a longer mixed trip.
Request a quote for a 2027 Madagascar safari with clear package inclusions so you can compare the Andohahela price with other southern routes.
Plan an Andohahela safari by fixing the route, checking payment dates, and confirming excluded costs. Start with Antananarivo as both the arrival and departure city, then review the Berenty, Mandrare River, and Andohahela schedule. [3][8]
Antananarivo is the practical start point for the published program. [3] Your international flight plan should begin and end there. Leave enough time between your international flight and any internal connection, then ask the operator how the schedule handles delays.
Berenty is part of the planned southern route. The itinerary shows travel to Berenty on April 28, 2027. [8] The schedule then includes wildlife time at Berenty before continuing toward other parts of the program.
The Mandrare River is also included in the published route. [3][8] This makes the program broader than a park-only visit. Read the day-by-day plan so you know how much time you spend moving between locations.
Andohahela National Park is the main park focus in this guide. A separate six-day Madagascar birding itinerary also includes a visit to Andohahela. [7] That option shows how the park can fit into a specialist birding trip, though it is different from the US$12,995 published program.
Andohahela works well for travelers who want southern Madagascar and a planned wildlife route. Travelers who want rainforest may prefer Ranomafana National Park. Those who want eastern rainforest can also compare Andasibe-Mantadia National Park.
These destinations are not substitutes for the published Andohahela itinerary. They are comparison points when you decide where your time and budget should go. For a lodge-focused eastern route, review Andasibe-Mantadia lodge rates for 2027.
SafariFind lets you compare operators, package details, and authentic reviews in one place. Focus on the route first. Then compare what each operator includes for the price.
The 2027 itinerary is a multi-stop Madagascar program that begins and ends in Antananarivo. It includes Berenty, the Mandrare River, and Andohahela National Park, with travel dates in late April and early May. [3][8] Expect a planned journey rather than a simple day visit.
Antananarivo gives the program a clear beginning and ending point. [3] Berenty and the Mandrare River add southern stops before or around the Andohahela visit. [3][8] This structure helps you see more than one habitat and reduces the need to design every transfer alone.
Berenty appears early in the dated itinerary. The schedule lists April 28 as the journey to Berenty, with the next two days focused on its wildlife. [8] Use that date when you plan arrival timing and any extra nights in the capital.
Andohahela National Park is also suitable for specialist interests. A six-day birding itinerary includes a visit to the park and lists species such as Banded Kestrel, Madagascan Sandgrouse, Torotoroka Scops Owl, Sickle-billed Vanga, and Madagascan Cuckoo-Hawk as possible sightings. [7] Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, so treat the list as a target rather than a promise.
The US$12,995 price reflects a structured program with internal flights and park entry fees included. [1] It also covers a route with several southern Madagascar stops. [3][8] A shorter self-planned visit may use a different transport plan, but it will not be the same product.
The published amount also gives you a fixed payment schedule. You pay US$2,500 at registration, then the balance 95 days before departure. [3] That schedule makes cash planning easier, but it requires early commitment.
Read the final terms closely. Confirm whether international flights connect smoothly with the internal flights. Confirm insurance rules. Then check whether personal costs, tips, drinks, and extra nights sit outside the package.

"From start to finish, this tour was an unforgettable experience. When enquiring about planning this trip ,Tony was very responsive, informative and. answered all our questions as we went along .When my suitcase didn't arrive in Madagascar Tony sorted it for me and negotiated with the airline on my behalf, going above and beyond and was very much appreciated Our guides were all knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual and clearly passionate about what they do, which made the whole trip both fun and informative. The itinerary was perfectly balanced — we saw all the major highlights without ever feeling rushed, and there were plenty of opportunities to take photos, ask questions, and just soak up the atmosphere. The transportation was comfortable, everything ran smoothly and on time, and as it was a private tour we were able to spend as little or as much time at each place as we chose. Every stop had something unique to offer, and the insider stories and local tips really brought the culture to life. It’s rare to find a tour that gets every detail right, but this one truly did, guides were on time , transfers were smooth, everything was flexible to our wishes. Hugh thanks to Tony, Sidney, Princee and Nico. The drivers were all awesome and we always felt safe despite some roads been very African massage- bumpy ! We left with amazing memories, beautiful photos, and a much deeper appreciation for the country. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat!"
"I highly recommend the Friendly Tour Guide Mada. The best cars I have seen on Madagascar, very clean, comfortable and modern. Drivers and tour guide are professionals! Very polite and helpful. Except 3 spots written in the description, expect visit to a very nice European restaurant with an amazing view! We are very happy, that we found this reliable tour operator. Thank you for everything ☺️"
"We have recently finished a 10 day tour of Madagascar in April 2025 using the operator “Madagascar Natural Tours” from start to finish it almost felt too good to be true, I have never met any one else from Australia who has been to Madagascar so we were very hesitant in whether it would be safe and had no idea how to organise a holiday there or what to expect. Harilala was extremely professional and communicative the entire way and answered every single (too many) questions of ours and made us feel comfortable and excited. He planned our itinerary just perfectly we listed a couple of things we had wanted to see - baobab avenue, lemurs and Nosy Be. He organised our whole itinerary, accomodation and flights for us so that it flowed seamlessly. He provided options in accomodation as we were seeking honeymoon style resorts. The hotels that he booked were beautiful, clean, great food and lovely staff! We had a few internal flights in our itinerary and it was so nice stepping off the plane and trusting that there would be a guide there waiting for us to get us to our hotel. The few times during our stay we had a question regarding our tour, Harilala would reply to our messages almost immediately and paid very careful attention to ensure we were happy and getting the most out of our tour. Using Madagascar Natural Tours took all stress out of the holiday / planning and allowed us to just show up and make memories of a lifetime! I would highly recommend this company to anybody curious to explore Madagascar! Particularly if you do not speak French, we struggled with the language barrier however all guides had amazing English which was such a relief. We can’t wait to come back in a few years time!!"
"We entrusted Harilala with our Madagascar tour, explaining what we wanted to see and visit. What can I say? He exceeded our expectations! Besides the wonderful tour, Solo and Fidele, our tour leaders, made the difference. We spent 20 days in Madagascar, and they flew by; everything was fantastic. We'll definitely be back to see the southernmost part of the country."
