A 5-day Andasibe-Mantadia trip costs $1,500-$2,000 per person in 2027. The best time to visit is September to November, when wildlife viewing is strong and the weather is comfortable. Park fees rise on 1 November 2026, so build the new daily rate into your budget before booking. [2] [3]
Andasibe-Mantadia Packages 2027: Prices and Best Time are easiest to compare as a 5-day rainforest trip in eastern Madagascar. Plan on $1,500-$2,000 per person, with September to November offering the best mix of wildlife viewing and comfortable weather. SafariFind helps you compare verified operators, package details, and traveler reviews.
Andasibe-Mantadia Packages 2027: Prices and Best Time describe guided rainforest trips in eastern Madagascar. Most visitors stay near Andasibe village, also known as Perinet, then explore the park with a local guide. The area suits travelers who want lemurs, forest walks, and night wildlife without planning every transfer alone. [6]
Andasibe-Mantadia National Park is the core stop on these trips. The wider destination includes rainforest walks, guided wildlife searches, and time in a village that supports nearby lodges and tour firms. You can book a short five-day trip or add the park to a longer Madagascar route.
The main decision is simple. Do you want the best wildlife conditions, or do you want a lower price? September to November is the strongest choice for wildlife and comfort. March to August costs 15%-30% less, but afternoon rain is more likely and fewer visitors use the trails. [2]
Use this guide to set a fair budget, choose travel dates, and check what a package includes. It also explains the new park fee, night drives, longer tours, and ways to compare operators through SafariFind.
A 5-day Andasibe-Mantadia package costs $1,500-$2,000 per person in 2027. September to November is the best travel window for wildlife viewing and comfortable weather. Visit from March to August to seek lower prices, but plan for afternoon rain and fewer people on forest trails. [2]
Andasibe-Mantadia packages combine rainforest access, guided walks, and a simple base near the park. A five-day plan gives you time to reach the area, explore during daylight, add a night drive, and leave without rushing every activity. In 2027, the main package price sits between $1,500 and $2,000 per person. [2]
Andasibe-Mantadia National Park is linked to Andasibe village, also called Perinet. Most lodges and tour operators use the village as their base. That setup makes the area easier to visit than a remote camp that needs several extra transfers. [6]
Andasibe-Mantadia National Park suits travelers who want focused wildlife time. The park works well for couples, families with older children, photographers, and first-time Madagascar visitors. It also fits longer island trips that include Ranomafana National Park or coastal stops.
Night drives add a different pace to the trip. They cost $50-$100 per evening, so ask whether the package includes one or treats it as an extra. A night activity can help you use the hours after dinner, especially when a five-day itinerary has limited daylight time. [2]
Andasibe-Mantadia is best for travelers who value rainforest wildlife over beach time. It is also a good match for people who prefer a guided route with a clear base. Visitors who want a beach finish can compare the park with Nosy Sakatia or Nosy Komba after their forest stay.
The park also works for travelers building a longer route. One 8-day Madagascar itinerary combines Andasibe-Mantadia with Kirindy Reserve, night walks, and sunset viewing at the Avenue of the Baobabs. [5] Travelers who want that wider route can also read the guide to Avenue of the Baobabs tours in 2027.
For travelers ready to compare dates and trip styles, compare Andasibe-Mantadia package options for 2027 through SafariFind before choosing an operator.
A 5-day Andasibe-Mantadia package costs $1,500-$2,000 per person in 2027. The final value depends on the route, accommodation, guiding, transport, and added activities. Treat the park fee as a separate budget line unless the package clearly lists it among included costs. [2] [3]
| Trip type | Published price | Duration | Main use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Andasibe-Mantadia package | $1,500-$2,000 per person | 5 days | Focused rainforest and wildlife trip |
| Madagascar tour including Andasibe-Mantadia | Up to $3,500 | 11-14 days | Longer island route |
| Madagascar biodiversity program | Starts at 10,499 per person | 16 days, 15 nights | Extended guided program with 38 meals |
The 11-14-day Madagascar tour listing reaches up to $3,500 and includes Andasibe-Mantadia among its stops. [4] A separate 16-day, 15-night program starts at 10,499 per person and includes 38 meals and six expert-led lectures. [1] These longer trips cost more because they cover more of the island.
Andasibe-Mantadia park entry is listed at 90,000 Ariary per person per day from 1 November 2026. The earlier listed fee was 45,000 Ariary per person per day. That change affects trips taken in 2027, so travelers should use the new figure when building a daily park budget. [3]
The park-fee calculation covers the daily park charge for one person. It excludes local guides, transport, and accommodation. [3] A package can still include some of those items, but you need to check the inclusions line by line before comparing two prices.
Price is only one part of the choice. A cheaper package may suit you if you accept more rain and fewer trail visitors. A higher-priced package may make sense when it includes more guiding, better transfers, or a night activity that you would otherwise pay for separately.
To keep your budget within a clear limit, compare Madagascar safari costs for 2027 and request quotes from verified operators through SafariFind.
September to November is the best time to visit Andasibe-Mantadia in 2027. This period combines strong wildlife viewing with comfortable weather. March to August is the lower-price choice, with packages listed at 15%-30% less, but afternoon rain is more common. [2]
September to November is the clearest choice for travelers who want the best balance. The period is linked with good wildlife viewing and comfortable weather, making it suitable for long forest walks. Book four to six months ahead, which means March to May for travel during this peak window. [2]
Early planning matters because the best dates are easier to match with a preferred lodge, guide, and route. It also gives you time to compare whether a five-day trip offers enough time or whether a longer Madagascar program fits better.
March to August is the value season for Andasibe-Mantadia packages. Prices are listed at 15%-30% below the September-November period. Afternoon rain remains a factor, and fewer tourists use the trails, so this period suits travelers who care more about price and quiet walks. [2]
Rain does not remove the value of a forest trip. It does mean you should plan flexible walking times and carry suitable rain gear. Ask how the operator handles wet-weather changes before you pay a deposit.
| Travel period | Planning window | Best reason to choose it |
|---|---|---|
| September-November 2027 | Book March-May 2027 | Wildlife viewing and comfortable weather |
| March-August 2027 | Plan before departure | Packages cost 15%-30% less |
Do not choose dates by price alone. Compare the number of park days, night activities, and transfer time. A five-day package with more time in the forest may suit you better than a cheaper route that spends much of the trip on the road.
Start with a five-day plan, then check each inclusion before booking. Base yourself near Andasibe village, allow time for guided forest walks, and decide whether a $50-$100 night drive belongs in your budget. [2] This approach keeps the route simple and makes package prices easier to compare.
Andasibe village is the practical starting point because most lodges and operators are based there. [6] A local base also makes it easier to start early walks and return after evening activities.
A longer route may suit travelers who want more than one rainforest. An 11-14-day 2027 listing visits Andasibe-Mantadia and reaches up to $3,500. [4] An 8-day option combines Andasibe-Mantadia with Kirindy Reserve and adds night walks and Avenue of the Baobabs sunset viewing. [5]
Compare like with like. Put each package beside the same five details: duration, park days, accommodation, transport, and included activities. Then read authentic traveler reviews on SafariFind. A low headline price is less useful if it leaves out guides or park access.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and package listings. Use the catalog to compare routes, read reviews, and request a quote that matches your dates and budget. The platform is useful when several operators describe similar five-day trips in different ways.
Andasibe-Mantadia can anchor a larger Madagascar holiday. Travelers may pair the rainforest with Antsirabe, a beach stay, or another wildlife area. The first mention of Andasibe-Mantadia National Park should remain your main search point, while other stops should fit your transfer time and total days.
Travelers who want northern forest wildlife can compare Lokobe National Park packages for 2027. Those who want an island-focused finish can review Madagascar beach trips for 2027.
A 5-day Andasibe-Mantadia package costs $1,500-$2,000 per person in 2027. The price should be checked against the number of park days, accommodation nights, transport services, guides, meals, and optional night activities. [2]

"From start to finish, this tour was an unforgettable experience. When enquiring about planning this trip ,Tony was very responsive, informative and. answered all our questions as we went along .When my suitcase didn't arrive in Madagascar Tony sorted it for me and negotiated with the airline on my behalf, going above and beyond and was very much appreciated Our guides were all knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual and clearly passionate about what they do, which made the whole trip both fun and informative. The itinerary was perfectly balanced — we saw all the major highlights without ever feeling rushed, and there were plenty of opportunities to take photos, ask questions, and just soak up the atmosphere. The transportation was comfortable, everything ran smoothly and on time, and as it was a private tour we were able to spend as little or as much time at each place as we chose. Every stop had something unique to offer, and the insider stories and local tips really brought the culture to life. It’s rare to find a tour that gets every detail right, but this one truly did, guides were on time , transfers were smooth, everything was flexible to our wishes. Hugh thanks to Tony, Sidney, Princee and Nico. The drivers were all awesome and we always felt safe despite some roads been very African massage- bumpy ! We left with amazing memories, beautiful photos, and a much deeper appreciation for the country. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat!"

"We have recently finished a 10 day tour of Madagascar in April 2025 using the operator “Madagascar Natural Tours” from start to finish it almost felt too good to be true, I have never met any one else from Australia who has been to Madagascar so we were very hesitant in whether it would be safe and had no idea how to organise a holiday there or what to expect. Harilala was extremely professional and communicative the entire way and answered every single (too many) questions of ours and made us feel comfortable and excited. He planned our itinerary just perfectly we listed a couple of things we had wanted to see - baobab avenue, lemurs and Nosy Be. He organised our whole itinerary, accomodation and flights for us so that it flowed seamlessly. He provided options in accomodation as we were seeking honeymoon style resorts. The hotels that he booked were beautiful, clean, great food and lovely staff! We had a few internal flights in our itinerary and it was so nice stepping off the plane and trusting that there would be a guide there waiting for us to get us to our hotel. The few times during our stay we had a question regarding our tour, Harilala would reply to our messages almost immediately and paid very careful attention to ensure we were happy and getting the most out of our tour. Using Madagascar Natural Tours took all stress out of the holiday / planning and allowed us to just show up and make memories of a lifetime! I would highly recommend this company to anybody curious to explore Madagascar! Particularly if you do not speak French, we struggled with the language barrier however all guides had amazing English which was such a relief. We can’t wait to come back in a few years time!!"
