A ferry crossing, large coastal dunes, and two nights beside the Mozambique Channel make Andavadoaka a very different Madagascar beach trip. A seven-day small group escape is listed at £4,395 per person, excluding flights, with stays at Olobe Lodge or a similar property.
A 7-Day Andavadoaka Beach Escape in 2027 costs about £4,395 per person for a small group trip, excluding flights. The route reaches Andavadoaka by coastal roads, river crossings, ferry travel, and large dunes. June and September have listed 2027 travel dates, so early planning is wise.
Madagascar is an island country where long road journeys often lead to the most remote beaches. Andavadoaka sits on the southwest coast, in the Atsimo-Andrefana region. Reaching it takes more effort than reaching popular island resorts, but that is part of the appeal. The route itself becomes a major part of the holiday.
The 7-Day Andavadoaka Beach Escape: 2027 Cost and Routes guide explains the price, route choices, stays, and practical planning points. It also separates a focused beach escape from longer routes that combine Morondava, Belo sur Mer, Toliara, Ifaty, and Morombe.
Here is the quick answer. A seven-day trip costs about £4,395 per person before flights. The journey includes remote coastal driving, a ferry over the Mangoky River, other river crossings, and large dunes. You should compare the full itinerary before booking because a 13-day coastal route is listed from £2,900 per person.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic traveler reviews. That matters here because remote beach trips rely on transport, road planning, and local timing. You can compare package details before choosing between a small group journey, a private route, or a lodge-based stay.
A 7-Day Andavadoaka Beach Escape is a short coastal Madagascar journey built around overland travel and two nights in Andavadoaka. The trip combines beaches with ferry travel, river crossings, dunes, and optional water activities. A listed small group price is £4,395 per person, excluding flights, with Olobe Lodge or a similar stay.
Andavadoaka is known for its remote setting and difficult coastal approach. The route includes a ferry across the Mangoky River to reach Bevoa, followed by two more river crossings. The road then turns west along the coast, where large dunes shape the approach to Andavadoaka. [5]
Large dunes change the feel of this trip. You are not simply flying into a resort and staying near one beach. Instead, the drive links the inland crossing points with the coast. That makes the escape a good match for travelers who enjoy seeing how a place connects, even when the road is slow.
Best for: travelers who want quiet beaches, small group travel, and a remote lodge stay. It also suits people who enjoy road routes more than fixed resort holidays. The trip is less suitable for anyone seeking a quick transfer from an international airport to a beach hotel.
Optional activities include snorkeling, fishing, and pirogue trips. Prices start at about €20, which lets travelers add activities without turning every excursion into a major extra cost. Ask for the current activity list before booking because each operator may set its own schedule.
A 13-day itinerary from Land of Baobabs Tour links Morondava, Belo sur Mer, Toliara, Ifaty, Ankasy, Andravona, Andavadoaka, Morombe, and Toliara. That route starts from £2,900 per person, based on two people sharing a double room. Breakfast, one dinner, private excursions, and private transfers are included. [1]
The longer route costs less per day on the listed starting price, but it covers more places and uses a different travel rhythm. It may suit travelers who want baobabs, coastal villages, and several beach areas. A seven-day escape suits visitors who want Andavadoaka to be the main stop.
Readers with buying intent can compare seven-day Andavadoaka beach packages and request quotes from SafariFind operators.
Andavadoaka is not only a final beach stop. The route includes changing scenery, water crossings, and a coastal road through dunes. Those details affect comfort, travel time, packing, and the number of nights available at the lodge.
That is why the best comparison is not price alone. Check how many nights you spend in Andavadoaka, which meals are included, whether transfers are private, and which activities cost extra. A lower headline price may cover a longer group itinerary, while a higher seven-day figure may include a more focused beach stay.
The 2027 seven-day Andavadoaka escape costs about £4,395 per person for a small group trip, excluding flights. The listed stay is at Olobe Lodge or a similar property, and the trip includes two nights in Andavadoaka. Optional snorkeling, fishing, and pirogue activities start at about €20.
Price range: about £2,900 per person for a listed 13-day coastal itinerary, £4,395 per person for the seven-day small group escape, and $4,076 to $4,280 for listed 14-day Madagascar adventure departures. These prices use different trip lengths and currencies, so they are planning points rather than a direct package comparison.
| Trip or stay | Listed price | Duration or rate basis | Route or location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seven-day Andavadoaka small group escape | £4,395 per person | Seven days, excluding flights | Andavadoaka and coastal route |
| Land of Baobabs coastal itinerary | From £2,900 per person | 13 days, two people sharing | Morondava to Andavadoaka and Toliara |
| Madagascar adventure, June 19 departure | From $4,280 | 14 days | Madagascar adventure route |
| Madagascar adventure, June 23 departure | From $4,076 | 14 days | Madagascar adventure route |
| Laguna Blu Resort | Dates displayed for September 2027 | Nightly booking | Andavadoaka |
The £2,900 figure comes from a 13-day itinerary based on two people sharing a double room. Its listed inclusions are breakfast, one dinner, private excursions, and private transfers. [1] The 14-day adventure shows a June 19, 2027 departure from $4,280 and a June 23 departure from $4,076. [7]
Olobe Lodge or a similar property is linked with the seven-day small group route. Laguna Blu Resort also displays September 2027 booking dates for Andavadoaka, although travelers enter their dates before the booking page shows a price. [3]
A separate accommodation listing shows a rate of US$71 per night for Princesse du Lagon in Atsimo-Andrefana. [4] Treat lodge prices as separate from a full package price. A room-only rate usually does not cover long-distance transfers, guides, ferries, meals, or activities.
Package inclusions matter more than the headline number on a remote route. Ask for a written breakdown before you commit. Check these points:
SafariFind helps you compare verified Madagascar tour operators by route, price, and traveler reviews. Use the exact dates and budget when you request a quote. That gives operators a clear starting point and makes package comparisons fairer.
Use the £4,395 figure as a working budget for the seven-day plan, not as a final total for every traveler. Flights, insurance, personal spending, and optional excursions can change the amount you pay. Set aside a separate activity budget if you want snorkeling, fishing, or a pirogue trip.
Currency also affects planning. The listed trips use pounds and dollars, while optional activities use euros. Ask for the payment currency, deposit rules, and balance date before you book. These simple checks prevent a low starting price from becoming a surprise later.
You reach Andavadoaka by a long coastal route that combines road travel, a ferry, river crossings, and dunes. One described approach crosses the Mangoky River by ferry, crosses two more rivers, and then follows the coast toward Andavadoaka. The route from Morondava can also include the Avenue of the Baobabs. [5][6]
The western coastal approach is the clearest route description for a focused beach escape. The journey reaches Bevoa after the Mangoky River ferry. Two further river crossings follow, then the road sweeps west toward the coast. Large dunes appear on the approach to Andavadoaka. [5]
This route needs patience. River crossings can shape the day, and dunes make the road slower than a paved highway. Pack light, keep valuables in a dry bag, and carry water in the vehicle. A flexible attitude helps when the coast sets the pace.
The Morondava route adds the Avenue of the Baobabs before continuing along the coastal road toward Andavadoaka. [6] This option suits travelers who want a major land attraction before reaching the beach. It can also work well as part of a longer trip that includes Kirindy Reserve.
SafariFind readers can pair the coast with the Avenue of the Baobabs tours guide for 2027 prices. A night drive at Kirindy may also fit a wider western Madagascar plan. The separate Kirindy Forest night drive guide explains how that activity can fit before the coastal leg.
The 13-day coastal itinerary links Morondava, Belo sur Mer, Toliara, Ifaty, Ankasy, Andravona, Andavadoaka, Morombe, and Toliara. [1] This route gives you more stops than the seven-day escape. It is a better match for travelers who want several coastal areas instead of one main beach base.
Its listed inclusions make the structure clear. Breakfast, one dinner, private excursions, and private transfers are included. [1] Ask whether the same services apply to your selected departure, because seven-day and 13-day packages may use different operators and vehicles.
The road route is part of the experience, but it also needs clear planning. Do not judge a package by the beach photographs alone. Ask for a day-by-day plan, transfer times, and the lodge names. That information shows whether the trip matches your comfort level.
Start by choosing your travel style, then match the route and budget. A seven-day trip focuses on Andavadoaka and a remote beach stay. A 13-day itinerary adds Morondava, Belo sur Mer, Toliara, Ifaty, Ankasy, Andravona, and Morombe. A 14-day adventure has listed June 2027 departures from $4,076. [1][7]
Choose the seven-day plan if you want two nights in Andavadoaka and a clear beach focus. The £4,395 per person figure is useful for early budgeting. Flights are excluded, so add air travel, insurance, meals outside the package, and personal costs.
Choose the 13-day route if you want a slower coast journey with more stops. Its starting price of £2,900 per person is based on two people sharing a double room. [1] The lower daily cost does not mean the same inclusions, so compare transport and meals line by line.
Best time to plan: June 19 and June 23, 2027 are listed departure dates for a 14-day Madagascar adventure. The Laguna Blu booking page displays September 2027 dates. [3][7] These dates show useful planning windows, but your operator should confirm the final departure and lodge availability.
Book early if your trip depends on a specific lodge or a fixed group departure. Remote accommodation has fewer choices than large city hotels. Early requests also give operators time to confirm ferry plans, vehicle space, and optional activities.
Pack fewer large bags than you think you need. Long road transfers are easier when bags fit inside the vehicle. Keep passports, medicine, cameras, and chargers in a small day bag that stays with you.
Compare operators by route detail, not only star ratings. A good quote should name the lodge, number of nights, transfer type, meal plan, and optional activity fees. It should also show the total price per traveler and state whether flights are excluded.
Read authentic reviews before you choose. Look for comments about driver communication, road comfort, lodge service, and how the operator handled changes. SafariFind brings these details together so you can request a quote from verified operators and compare tour operators with more confidence.
Middle-stage planners can compare Andavadoaka packages with ferry routes and 2027 prices before deciding between a focused seven-day escape and a longer Madagascar coast trip.

"From start to finish, this tour was an unforgettable experience. When enquiring about planning this trip ,Tony was very responsive, informative and. answered all our questions as we went along .When my suitcase didn't arrive in Madagascar Tony sorted it for me and negotiated with the airline on my behalf, going above and beyond and was very much appreciated Our guides were all knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual and clearly passionate about what they do, which made the whole trip both fun and informative. The itinerary was perfectly balanced — we saw all the major highlights without ever feeling rushed, and there were plenty of opportunities to take photos, ask questions, and just soak up the atmosphere. The transportation was comfortable, everything ran smoothly and on time, and as it was a private tour we were able to spend as little or as much time at each place as we chose. Every stop had something unique to offer, and the insider stories and local tips really brought the culture to life. It’s rare to find a tour that gets every detail right, but this one truly did, guides were on time , transfers were smooth, everything was flexible to our wishes. Hugh thanks to Tony, Sidney, Princee and Nico. The drivers were all awesome and we always felt safe despite some roads been very African massage- bumpy ! We left with amazing memories, beautiful photos, and a much deeper appreciation for the country. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat!"

"We have recently finished a 10 day tour of Madagascar in April 2025 using the operator “Madagascar Natural Tours” from start to finish it almost felt too good to be true, I have never met any one else from Australia who has been to Madagascar so we were very hesitant in whether it would be safe and had no idea how to organise a holiday there or what to expect. Harilala was extremely professional and communicative the entire way and answered every single (too many) questions of ours and made us feel comfortable and excited. He planned our itinerary just perfectly we listed a couple of things we had wanted to see - baobab avenue, lemurs and Nosy Be. He organised our whole itinerary, accomodation and flights for us so that it flowed seamlessly. He provided options in accomodation as we were seeking honeymoon style resorts. The hotels that he booked were beautiful, clean, great food and lovely staff! We had a few internal flights in our itinerary and it was so nice stepping off the plane and trusting that there would be a guide there waiting for us to get us to our hotel. The few times during our stay we had a question regarding our tour, Harilala would reply to our messages almost immediately and paid very careful attention to ensure we were happy and getting the most out of our tour. Using Madagascar Natural Tours took all stress out of the holiday / planning and allowed us to just show up and make memories of a lifetime! I would highly recommend this company to anybody curious to explore Madagascar! Particularly if you do not speak French, we struggled with the language barrier however all guides had amazing English which was such a relief. We can’t wait to come back in a few years time!!"
