A 5-Day Andasibe Itinerary 2027: Safari Cost Per Person should use a planning budget of $1,500 to $2,000, based on 2026 pricing data. The route normally starts in Antananarivo and travels east to the Andasibe-Mantadia area. April to October offers a useful planning window, but every 2027 rate, inclusion, and departure needs written confirmation.
Madagascar has a five-day Andasibe route that puts rainforest wildlife within reach of the capital, yet the final 2027 bill still depends on the operator and inclusions.
For travelers searching for a 5-Day Andasibe Itinerary 2027: Safari Cost Per Person, the useful answer is simple. Budget $1,500 to $2,000 per person as a working benchmark, then ask for a written quote. A higher-comfort option starts at $2,200, while longer luxury trips cost much more. [2][4]
Andasibe works well when you want a focused wildlife trip. The classic plan begins in Antananarivo and heads east by road. You spend time around Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, then return to the capital. [2]
This guide explains what five days can include, what the price may cover, and where costs can rise. It also gives you a practical day-by-day plan for 2027. SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, so you can compare the details behind each quote instead of comparing price alone.

A five-day Andasibe safari is a short Madagascar wildlife trip that starts in Antananarivo, travels east to the Andasibe area, and returns to the capital. The route focuses on rainforest walks, lemur viewing, local guides, and road travel. A standard package lasts four nights and often uses a private vehicle.
Antananarivo is the normal starting point for this itinerary. A San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance itinerary also begins in Antananarivo and includes an airport-to-hotel transfer, which shows how the capital fits into organized Madagascar trips. [1]
Andasibe is reached by road from the capital. The journey takes planning because the itinerary combines travel time with forest activities. Your operator should state the driving plan, hotel locations, guide service, and return timing before you pay.
Andasibe-Mantadia National Park is the main wildlife focus. The trip suits visitors who want a short rainforest stay instead of a long route that also covers the west or south of Madagascar. The area can also fit into a wider Madagascar safari plan.
Known for: Andasibe is known for rainforest wildlife, lemur walks, and a compact route from Antananarivo. The exact animals, trails, and viewing time depend on park rules, weather, and the guide’s plan. Ask for the named reserve or park included in your quote.
Best for: This itinerary is best for first-time Madagascar visitors, couples, families with older children, and travelers with only five days. It is also useful for people who want a private vehicle and a clear start and end point.
Price range: The 2027 planning benchmark is $1,500 to $2,000 per person, using 2026 pricing data. A four-night Andasibe adventure listed by The Wild Source starts at $2,200 per person and gives April to October as its travel period. [2][4]
A low quote can look attractive until you check meals, park fees, transfers, and guide charges. One five-day tour listing includes a private car, driver, gasoline, double-room lodging with breakfast, airport transfers, an English-speaking guide, activities, local guide fees, taxes, and formalities. [7]
The same listing excludes lunch, dinner, and personal expenses. [7] That difference matters because a quote with fewer inclusions may require more cash during the trip. Compare the full list, not only the headline rate.
Compare five-day Andasibe safari packages and request a written 2027 quote before choosing an operator.
A five-day Andasibe safari costs about $1,500 to $2,000 per person as a 2027 planning benchmark. This figure comes from 2026 pricing data, so it is not a fixed 2027 rate. Ask each operator to confirm availability, room type, meals, park charges, transfers, and taxes in writing. [2]
| Name | Price | Duration | Rating | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Andasibe-Mantadia planning benchmark | $1,500 to $2,000 per person | 5 days | Not listed | Standard private or guided trip planning |
| The Wild Source Andasibe adventure | From $2,200 per person | 4 nights | Not listed | Higher-comfort rainforest travel |
| Overseas Adventure Travel Madagascar trip | From $12,699 per person | 15 days | Not listed | Longer small-group Madagascar travel |
The table shows why duration matters. The $12,699 example is a 15-day trip, not a five-day Andasibe package. It includes Antananarivo and Andasibe among its destinations and has a maximum group size of 16 travelers. [5] It is useful as a luxury comparison, not as a direct five-day substitute.
Typical inclusions: A five-day package may include the private car, driver, fuel, double-room accommodation, breakfast, airport transfers, an English-speaking guide, activities, local guide fees, taxes, and formalities. [7] Your quote should name each item rather than use a broad phrase such as "all-inclusive."
Room choice, travel dates, group size, and extra activities can change the final quote. The research data does not give fixed supplements for these items, so treat any online estimate as a starting point. Request the exact 2027 price before you book.
Food can also affect your daily budget. The listed five-day tour excludes lunch, dinner, and personal expenses. [7] A clear operator quote lets you separate the safari price from spending money.
For a wider comparison, read the latest guide to Antsirabe day trips and safari packages. It can help if you are deciding between a short Andasibe visit and a longer inland route.
Compare verified Madagascar tour operators with 2027 prices and review details when two packages look similar on paper.
A practical five-day Andasibe plan uses Antananarivo on day one, road travel east on day two, two wildlife-focused days near Andasibe, and a return to the capital on day five. The exact order can change with flight times, road conditions, park schedules, and the operator’s hotel plan.
Arrive in Antananarivo and transfer to your hotel. A published Madagascar wildlife itinerary begins with the capital and an airport-to-hotel transfer. [1] Keep this first day light, especially if your international flight arrives late.
Confirm the next morning’s departure time with your guide. Also check where you will meet the driver, what luggage the vehicle can hold, and whether breakfast starts before the road trip.
Leave Antananarivo and travel east toward Andasibe. The route normally connects the capital with the Andasibe-Mantadia area. [2] Use this day to settle into the vehicle and learn how the next forest walks will work.
Ask the guide about footwear, rain protection, walking distance, and meeting times. A private car gives the group more control, but the road journey still shapes the day.
Spend the main wildlife day in Andasibe-Mantadia National Park or the named reserve in your booking. Your operator should state whether park entry, local guide fees, and activities are included. One published package lists activities and local guide fees among its inclusions. [7]
Plan time for a slow forest walk. Lemur viewing depends on the animals, trail conditions, and guide decisions. Avoid promises of guaranteed sightings. A careful operator explains what the package includes without making claims it cannot control.
Use day four for another guided activity near Andasibe. The right choice depends on your package. It may involve another park visit, a local walk, or a night activity if the operator lists it.
This extra day gives the trip breathing room. It also helps if rain changes the first forest visit. Ask whether this activity has a separate fee before you accept the quote.
Return west to Antananarivo on day five. Leave enough time for the drive and any airport connection. Your final itinerary should show whether the package ends at a hotel, airport, or another point in the capital.
Travelers adding more of Madagascar can compare routes such as Ranomafana National Park, Antsirabe, or the Anja Community Reserve lemur route. These are separate planning choices, so do not assume they fit inside five days.
SafariFind helps you compare verified operators and traveler feedback in one place. That makes it easier to spot the difference between a clear quote and a vague one.

The safest booking method is to compare two or more written quotes against the same checklist. Price alone does not show whether meals, park fees, guides, transfers, and fuel are included. A clear quote also states the room basis and the number of travelers sharing the vehicle.
April to October is the listed travel period for The Wild Source’s four-night Andasibe adventure. [4] This does not guarantee that every operator has space during those months. It also does not replace a direct check of weather, park access, and departure dates.
Book early for 2027 if your dates are fixed. Then ask the operator to confirm the rate in writing. The $1,500 to $2,000 benchmark is based on 2026 pricing data, so it should guide your budget rather than act as a promise. [2]
Pack light clothing, a rain layer, walking shoes, a small day bag, and personal items. Ask your operator about luggage limits before departure. Keep medicines and travel documents in your hand luggage.
Do not assume every meal is included. The listed five-day tour excludes lunch, dinner, and personal expenses. [7] Set aside money for those costs and ask whether the hotel accepts your preferred payment method.
SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators and authentic reviews. Its marketplace can help you compare package length, destination, price, and booking details. Use the operator information to ask better questions, then request a final quote that matches your dates.
The main goal is simple. Match the package to your travel style, then confirm every cost before payment. That approach works better than choosing the cheapest number on a search page.
A five-day Andasibe safari should use a planning budget of $1,500 to $2,000 per person in 2027. This benchmark comes from 2026 pricing data, so the operator must confirm the final rate, inclusions, and availability in writing. [2]
An Andasibe package may include a private car, driver, fuel, double-room lodging with breakfast, airport transfers, an English-speaking guide, activities, local guide fees, taxes, and formalities. Check the written quote because inclusions differ between operators. [7]
Breakfast may be included, but lunch and dinner are not always covered. One five-day Andasibe tour listing includes breakfast and excludes lunch, dinner, and personal expenses. Ask the operator to list every meal in the 2027 quote. [7]
The typical Andasibe itinerary starts in Antananarivo and travels east to the Andasibe-Mantadia area. The trip normally returns to the capital after the rainforest stay. Confirm airport transfers and the final drop-off point before booking. [2]
April to October is the listed travel window for The Wild Source’s four-night Andasibe adventure. Other operators may offer different dates, so confirm park access, room availability, and the final 2027 price for your trip. [4]
Use SafariFind to compare verified tour operators, package details, prices, and authentic traveler reviews. Request a written quote that confirms dates, inclusions, exclusions, and cancellation terms before you pay.
A five-day Andasibe safari in 2027 needs a working budget of $1,500 to $2,000 per person, with final pricing confirmed by the operator. The route normally starts in Antananarivo, travels east to Andasibe-Mantadia, and returns to the capital. [2]
Choose the standard benchmark if you want a focused rainforest trip. Consider the four-night Wild Source option from $2,200 if its dates and comfort level fit your plans. [4] Keep extra money for lunch, dinner, and personal expenses when your package excludes them. [7]
Compare the written inclusions carefully. A private car, driver, fuel, breakfast lodging, airport transfers, guide service, activities, taxes, and local fees can change the real value of a quote.
Compare verified safari packages on SafariFind and request your 2027 Andasibe quote. Read authentic reviews, compare tour operators, and confirm the final rate before payment. Planning early in 2026 gives you more time to secure suitable dates for 2027.

"From start to finish, this tour was an unforgettable experience. When enquiring about planning this trip ,Tony was very responsive, informative and. answered all our questions as we went along .When my suitcase didn't arrive in Madagascar Tony sorted it for me and negotiated with the airline on my behalf, going above and beyond and was very much appreciated Our guides were all knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual and clearly passionate about what they do, which made the whole trip both fun and informative. The itinerary was perfectly balanced — we saw all the major highlights without ever feeling rushed, and there were plenty of opportunities to take photos, ask questions, and just soak up the atmosphere. The transportation was comfortable, everything ran smoothly and on time, and as it was a private tour we were able to spend as little or as much time at each place as we chose. Every stop had something unique to offer, and the insider stories and local tips really brought the culture to life. It’s rare to find a tour that gets every detail right, but this one truly did, guides were on time , transfers were smooth, everything was flexible to our wishes. Hugh thanks to Tony, Sidney, Princee and Nico. The drivers were all awesome and we always felt safe despite some roads been very African massage- bumpy ! We left with amazing memories, beautiful photos, and a much deeper appreciation for the country. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable experience. We would do it again in a heartbeat!"

"We have recently finished a 10 day tour of Madagascar in April 2025 using the operator “Madagascar Natural Tours” from start to finish it almost felt too good to be true, I have never met any one else from Australia who has been to Madagascar so we were very hesitant in whether it would be safe and had no idea how to organise a holiday there or what to expect. Harilala was extremely professional and communicative the entire way and answered every single (too many) questions of ours and made us feel comfortable and excited. He planned our itinerary just perfectly we listed a couple of things we had wanted to see - baobab avenue, lemurs and Nosy Be. He organised our whole itinerary, accomodation and flights for us so that it flowed seamlessly. He provided options in accomodation as we were seeking honeymoon style resorts. The hotels that he booked were beautiful, clean, great food and lovely staff! We had a few internal flights in our itinerary and it was so nice stepping off the plane and trusting that there would be a guide there waiting for us to get us to our hotel. The few times during our stay we had a question regarding our tour, Harilala would reply to our messages almost immediately and paid very careful attention to ensure we were happy and getting the most out of our tour. Using Madagascar Natural Tours took all stress out of the holiday / planning and allowed us to just show up and make memories of a lifetime! I would highly recommend this company to anybody curious to explore Madagascar! Particularly if you do not speak French, we struggled with the language barrier however all guides had amazing English which was such a relief. We can’t wait to come back in a few years time!!"

Besides the wonderful tour, Solo and Fidele, our tour leaders, made the difference. We spent 20 days in Madagascar, and they flew by; everything was fantastic. We'll definitely be back to see the southernmost part of the country."
